Individuals with bipolar disorder experience episodes of a frenzied state known as mania (or hypomania), typically alternating with episodes of depression. At the lower levels of mania, such as hypomania, individuals appear energetic and excitable and may in fact be highly productive. At a higher level, individuals begin to ...

I cant stand the hideous side effects of any of the other bipolar drugs anymore .I take 450mg lithium now. Hoping topamax can work . ANYONE ON TOPAMAX? DRS DONT WANT TO USE IT. ## Topamax, which contains the active ingredient Topiramate, is an anticonvulsant. Some have used it to treat BiPolar disorder, but it is not approved for such uses, which is probably why most doctors do not want to prescribe it. It has some pretty serious side effects, too, include: nausea, headache, anorexia and memory prroblems. You can read more here: Has anyone else tried this medication for BiPolar disorder? ## I am currently on Toplep 50mg twice a day along with Nuzak 40mg. I have been diagnosed with Depression and Type II Bipolar. I had some memory loss in the beginning, more like forgetfulness. Mild head... ...

Vyvanse possible Treament for Depression
I don't have a question but do have a few thoughts about Vyvanse. I noticed that in the official Vyvanse drug info that Vyvanse was being considered in the treatment of Major Depression Disorder. I have struggled with Bipolar ll for many years with Seasonal Pattern, ie I have extreme depression in the winter and hypomania in the summer. My depressions generally havetreatment resistant and I have been hospitalized several times. A couple of times only ECTs could break my depressions. There have been times when depression threatened my life because it was so unbearable. A couple times ECT's was the only effective treatment. Last winter (2010-2011), I didn't bother with seeking hospitalization but strongly felt that I could not deal with another bout of such debilitating depres... ...

Epitec vs Zyprexa
Hi, I have Bipolar depression since my childhood. I have been on Epitec 200mg for 9years now. I have not picked up any weight and honestly look terrible with being so skinny. I approached my Doctor and he tried to put me on Epilim but it did not seem to keep me stable so i moved back to Epitec. I've spoken to someone which introduced me to Zyprexa. I would like to know if Zyprexa would give me the same mental treatment as Epitec but will increase my weight. ...

Adverse sideaffects
I was diagnosed with bipolar, anxiety and depression. I am taking hydroxyzine pam 50 mg 3x daily, oxcarbazepine 300 mg 2x daily, lomotrigine 100 mg 2x daily, and trazonone 100 mg and temazepam 30 mg, each each bedtime. I feel tense and tired thoughout the day. I'm not sleeping soundly, I feel depressed and I'm easily aggitated. Isn't this what I'm being medicated for? I look like I've been up for days! What can I do? ## Hello, Draggin! How are you? Most psychologically active medications cause REM onset latency, which means it takes longer than normal to enter the REM stage of sleep and you spend a shorter amount of time in it. So, it is normal to feel tired and rundown for awhile, though it will usually improve, as your body adjusts to the medications. Additionally,... ...

I have just started taking Viibryd.
I'm suffering from depression/anxiety/bipolar disorders. Today, as of 6th of October, I have taken my 6th pill of 10mg of Viibryd. Just after my second pill I started experimenting dizziness and nausea. I've been having troubled sleeping, and as soon as I wake up everything seems to be spinning around me. The first thing I do in the morning is running to the fridge just to grab something to eat, otherwise I'm extremely nauseous and have an upset stomach. I've been having daharrea along with painful lower part of my abdominals for the last 4 days. I'm feeling very depressed, sad, heavy, and lethargic without an ability of completing simple daily tasks. I have just started feeling shooting pains first in my feet, then legs, and now a little bit in my chest. Anxiety is ... ...

a drug for ADHD/Bipolar ## Rispidol is a scary drug that no one should take. They tried to push it on me for Depression. The doctors won't tell you the more severe side effects unless you lean on them, then they'll say it's rare. It made me feel like a zombie. More severe effects include: NEUROLEPTIC MALIGNANT SYNDROME which causes paralysis, seizure, and death: THERE IS NO KNOWN TREATMENT OR CURE. Also TARTIVE DYSCONESIA which causes uncontrolable twitching, especially of the face. Again , no known treatment or cure for T.D, it either goes away on it's own, or is PERMANENT !! My source is the PHYSICIANS DESK REFERENCE {2003]. ## Is this drug the same as Risperdal? ## Yes, they just spelled it wrong. ## Thanks. I have seen this spelling done incorrectly by a prescribing ... ...
