Does anyone know how much Betadine solution should be used, in proportion to water, to create the medicated douche my doc said I should do, to prepare for surgery? ## You weren't provided with any specific directions or details? I know that the Betadine ointment is available with Moisturizer OR with a pain reliever and these 2 products contain Aquaphor which contains Lanolin Alcohol and I'm highly allergic to Lanolin in any form. BUT does the maximum strength ointment also contain Aquaphor? If it does, I wouldn't be able to use it. Betadine ointment was taken off the market several years ago and now it's back - but the formula has been changed. Can betadine medicated douche be use for trichomonais after flagyl don't work ## No, that's not a testament that's usually used, nor is it known to be effective. Have you consulted your doctor, again? You may need to take another round of the Flagyl.

Hey hi I had yellow fluid secreted in my navel about a week ago when I asked the doctor he first suggested me candid-b cream later a day ago I witnessed little blood when I reported this he then suggested me bactoclav 625 and povidone iodine as I didn't get the bactoclav the pharmacist provided me moxikind-cv 625 and betadine ! Please help me with this .

Is it safe for me to administer clavaseptin, an antibiotic, and buprenorphine, a pain killer, to my male cat? He's got a burst access on his inner leg. I don't want to play Vet, but I feel it should be okay. Thanks ## No do not give your cat your drugs. Sometimes there's no difference in antibiotics, but no pain drugs. Keep the drained area clean and dry, polymycin powder is good to put on it. A slightly diluted betadine solution should be fine for washing it if necessary. I repeat, do not give your cat your narcotic drugs. You can kill the animal with some of them. ## NO - pain meds for your cat can easily be fatal. I'm not up to date with antibiotics. Good luck.

looking for the name of an old-fashioned sulfur-based liquid for treating wounds. It is BRIGHT yellow, thick and oily. It separates into the oil and yellow part if left standing and has to be shaken well before use. Used to use it extensively for animals although it is not specifically a veterinary medicine. I bought some in a pharmacy a few years ago. It is used on any difficult to heal or infected wounds either under a dressing or just on and in the wound. It is not Betadine or any other similar modern product. This is an old product that is still available. It is a proper medical product produced by a medical company i.e. not a herbal, quack or traditional remedy. It is just an older product that isn't much used any more but still available. My house helper is HIV positive and received Ilvitrim 400mg. She started to take it this morning. The dosage reads 2 tabs every 1 hour. Is that normal? Please let me know.
