Hi, I am a 30 year old mother of two with a tubal ligation. I have been having horrible abdominal pain after intercourse and have always had really heavy heavy periods that are irregular and clotty and very painful. Had an ultrasound done. So they didn't find anything except that I had a very thick endometrium. Would a thick endometrium cause pain after intercourse? The pain lasts well into the next day. Sometimes I have pain when I haven't had intercourse as well. It is doubled over pain that lasts up to 24-48 hours (I have a high tolerance for pain and never go to the doctor). Anyway, the doctor prescribe me Provera to help them out my endometrium. I understand how it synthetic progestin can do this but what I don't understand is why the doctor told me I will never have a ...

I took accutane almost 14 years ago as a teenager. I am now a 32 year old woman who has just been diagnosed with infertility that they believe is linked to autoimmune issues. I truly believe that accutane is the cause of this; from the research that I have done it seems that accutane has been linked to other thyroid-related diseases, but that they have not yet been able to prove a link between accutane and infertility. There are, however, actually more people like me out there than I originally thought. Being diagnosed with ovarian dysfunction has been a horrific, horrific blow. And while there was plenty of information about accutane and birth defects, no one ever mentioned a possibility of future infertility. I was a teenager! This is a tragedy and I believe something should be done a...

I have a file of damage done to me that requires strong meds, but because they are internal and I look normal on the outside I have a hard time getting the meds I need. Does anyone know a liberal Dr. in the Dallas area. I have records. Thanks JR ## The problem likely doesn't have anything to do with the fact that they can't see the damage, because there are always medical tests that can prove it, as well as your medical history. The problem probably stems from the fact that they have to be extremely careful about prescribing liberally, because all such prescriptions are monitored by the government and they have to be able to account for each one and their reasons for prescribing. Have you considered just going with a pain management doctor, or clinic? That is usually the best be...

Has anyone had the experience of PSA score appearing to rise some after TESTOPEL implants being done? Three (3) months after my implants -- when it is time to do again -- my PSA is elevated, making it in the 4.77 range. I go on an antibiotic (either Duricef or CIPRO) and it comes down. My urologist is very much my advocate and knows the great many benefits I receive from this procedure. He is thinking of ANOTHER prostate biopsy, but no definite decision has been made. Although not unbearable, I'd rather not have to do this. Thoughts, anyone ???? ## Hello, Bob! How are you? There have been some concerns about the effect of testosterone supplementation on the prostate, including an elevated risk of cancer, but nothing definitive has been proven, yet. Some doctors are refusing to let t...

how long after taking my last pill will my birth control kick back in? ## There is still ongoing debate on whether or not Sulfamethoxazole with Trimethoprim will affect hormonal contraceptives, so most doctor's advise using back up protection, until you have been done taking it for a full 7 days. However, if you are on the shot, I haven't been able to find any direct information on it, so you should check with your doctor or pharmacist to be certain. Did you doctor provide any information on it?

Ampitrexyl, can I take it for urinary track infection ## Can I get rid of urinary track infection taking ampitrex500mlg ## Hello, Franky! How are you? This is a natural supplement product, so it's not actually proven to work. A UTI usually requires an antibiotic and, ideally, a culture should be done to make sure you are prescribed the correct one. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. Cranberry juice, the natural juice without added sugars, can also help some people with a UTI. Have you consulted your doctor?

I drank a protein shake for breakfast every morning that contained 5,083 mg of L-Glutamine during my first trimester. I was unaware of the harmful effects L-Glutamine supplements could have on the fetus. Do u think I hurt the baby in any way? I've heard that to much L-Glutamine in the form of supplements can cause retardation in the fetus. ## Hello, Heather! How are you? Congratulations on the baby! It would be best to let your doctor know that you took it, that way they can watch for any possible problems. However, there have not actually been any studies done in humans, so if there is any risk from taking it, it's unknown, according to the FDA. They list it as being pregnancy category C, which means that while risk isn't proven, it also cannot be ruled out. Does anyone kno...

As such, however, it has not been studied for side effects, as is done with actual prescription medications and it's not actually proven to help with insomnia. Have you consulted a doctor about your problem? Do you keep a set bed time and make sure not to eat a heavy meal or have anything alcoholic or caffeinated in the evening? ## i just got a sleepasil. unfortunately, no advice as to how many capsules should i take. i read some notes that its more effective...

Severe back pains and numbness on one hand, the hand has lost function, i have so far taken neurorubine for 1 week ## Did you mean Neurobion? If so, it is just a nutritional supplement that contains a complex of B vitamins and, while they are believed to help with some nerve pain and problems, they are not actually proven to help. has this helped many men with their manhood? Any negative side effects? ## Lexitrol A12 is a supplement product, not a medication, this means that it is not actually proven to help with anything, in addition the side effect profiles for it are not studied, as is done for prescription medications. It is listed as containing: Panex Ginseng, Maca and Zinc. They claim it helps with erectile dysfunction, but these ingredients are available over the counter, in many products and if they really had some type of effect for men, someone would have noticed by now. Are there any other questions or comments?

I was hopeful about Savella for depression and fibromyalgia, but every time I took the evening dose, I would wake up and have to vomit, it was rough. I stopped taking the evening dose and it has done nothing for me, but make me sick so we are switching to Brintellix - back to square one now. Have to get the depression under control and then deal with the pain. Fun, fun... ## While I understand that it can be quite frustrating, it makes sense to get the depression under control first, then to treat the pain. Depression has been proven to contribute to and/or cause pain, so if needs to be treat first, before your pain can be properly evaluated and treated. Once your moods are doing better, your pain may not be so intense. Do you have any questions or concerns? ## I agree! I hope the Brint...

I have had effect of dirt mites for over a year, treated as scabies, complete eradication has not been accomplished, and this is driving me nuts. Topical diluted pesticides and pills have been used repeatedly with little success and has resulted in chemical burns where repeated application has been done. Any proven process that I can implement would be greatly appreciated?? ## What diagnosis, and treatment has your doctor provided? Are you referring to dust mites? They live on dead skin cells. They are known to induce many allergy symptoms in people, but they generally don't infest and feed on a person. Soil mites are not known to be harmful, or to infest humans. Round, orange-coloured tablet, prescribed for chronic lower back pain, with no relief whatsoever. I noted that this prescribed for deficiency of vitB 12. Shouldn't its level be monitored by regular blood test? ## Yes, it is a nutritional supplement, which means that it is not actually proven to help with anything, other than a deficiency in the nutrient(s) it contains. I have been reading some of the discussion threads and really would love your advice. So back in 2012 I slipped two discs with one that had a tear and I have spinal stenosis. Had wonderful docs that helped me get back to some since of normalcy. I had used Gabapentin for a period of time, then came off of it once I had an injection for my right leg nerve pain and numbness. Just a note, I have never been 100 percent probably not even 75 percent. There were times when the pain in my back was so bad, I would would just be angry. A second MRI was done last year and they told me I was not a candidate for surgery and gave me other suggestions like yoga, etc. That proved to be more harmful then good. Through it all I have tried to maintain some sort of life style and dealt with the pain with Ic...

My Grandma is in pain and on her death bed. Her docter gave her 60mgs of morphine every 4 hours and she only ways 90lbs ## How is she doing? I am very sorry that she is in this condition. Numerous studies have been done and there was no deterioration of anyone's condition under such circumstances due to the high levels of pain medications. Thus, it has been decided among the medical community that it is better to administer them to allow someone to be comfortable, than to let them spend their final days in misery.
