Hello I am a union steward trying to defend a member who has been accused of failing a urinalysis test. The member takes a drug that is commonly known as fiorcet. The screen came back poisitive for barbiturates, and phenobarbital. I have spoken to a pharmacist who has told me that this drug would come back as a positive but I am looking for more proof to defend this member. Is there any documentation that you can refer me to that states that the drug fiorcet would raise a positive drug test for phenobarbital. I took a ten panel for the nursing program and I have never been involved in taking drugs , the said I test positive for barbiturates .. I take topirimate (generic for topomax) for migraines ; imitrex, yaz, and had surgery 2 weeks ago under General anesthesia prior to the 10 panel. Would any of the lead to a positive result for barbiturates ?

I currently am taking Metronidazole and have a cavity and can't get to the dentist till next week. I have taken Tylenol but it still hurts. This medication says to not take any barbiturates. Post barbiturates, benzodiazepines took their place for the efficacious usage as the chief anxiolytic agent. Xanax in particular is both very effective yet moderately addictive. Others less so. I would like to know if norcos and methadone both show up as barbiturates or opiates basically in the same category in a hair follicle test? ## They will show up as opiates. ## Methadone is in its own category on a 12 panel test. It will not show up as an opiate i have first hand experience. .i don't know about norcos though. .i think they will show up as an opiate..Neither will show up as a barbiturate. ## IMHO the doctors are making excuses/lies to drop their compliant patients, I have received this treatment also. I go to a doctor for suboxone. I took a drug test for my doctor and he said my test came up positive for Methadone and barbiturates. I take Cymbalta from a phsyc. doctor but no other medications. What could have caused these results? Also....I am on parole...I def do not need to have these FALSE RESULTS with them!!! ## I've since returned to my doc he sent off my results for further review..... I took valium and hydrocodone. I have a urine test tomorrow and want to know if they will both show up under barbiturates? ## To answer your question, no - they are in different drug classes so they would come up differently on lab tests. If my company would give me a drug test for: marijuana, cocaine, amphetamines, opiates, phencyclidine (“PCP”), barbiturates, benzodiazepines, methadone, methaqualudes, and propoxiphine??? ## Sibutramine is used as an appetite suppressant to aid in weight loss. That said, it is related to Amphetamines. However, if you have a prescription for it, all you need to do is tell to alter them to that fact when you go in to have the test done. Do you have any other questions? ## How long after it is last taken could sibutramine show in a urine drug test? How long before it is not detectable?

WOULD ANY OF THESE DRUGS SHOW A FALSE POSITIVE FOR BENZOS? BACLOFEN, OXYBUTYNIN CHLORIDE, OR QUETIAPINE? ## I tested positive for barbiturates. I took one of my wife headache pills on sat It has 50 mg of butalbitaland took a drug test monday will i pass ## I took the drug test Tuesday ## If they check for Barbiturates, it will most likely be detected, because Butalbital can be detected in urine for approximately 7 days after last dosing.
