My name is David, Ive lived in Atlanta for years and was on 1mg xanax 3x a day, and for knee replacement Percocet 10 3x a day. My Dr. Is moving and I need a Dr. quick. I live in Gwinnett Co. please help, thanks. ## Im on xanax and have been on percocet the past 8 years. My Dr. has to move and gave me 3 weeks notice. Please help. ## Hello, David! How are you? I"m sorry about the problem that you're having. Is there a chance that your doctor could refer you to a colleague, before he leaves? That might be the quickest and easiest way to find the help you need. Due to the new directives set forth by the DEA last year, most doctors are going to be reluctant to prescribe both medications and will refer you to specialists for treatment. Someone specializing in pain management, and a ps...

I need dr in the north Atlanta area that is actually willing to write a pain prescription and not just do expensive procedures ## Hello, Kitty! How are you? I'm sorry, but there is no listing of doctors according to whether or not they will prescribe medications that I can refer to for you. Generally, possibly habit forming drugs are the last choice for treatment, to be used only when the other treatment options have failed. Do you currently have a PCP that could refer you to someone? With many pain specialists being overwhelmed right now, that would like be the easiest and speediest way to find the help you need.

Help, I need a doctor in Atlanta Georgia that can see me pretty quick and refill my Oxycontin (which are for my 4 herniated disks that keep me in constant pain). We just relocated from Arkansas and I will be out of meds on Saturday and need a doctor quick. PLEASE HELP. ## I'm sorry, I know this type of thing is very troublesome, but due to the new laws, I doubt you're going to get in anywhere that fast to a new prescription. If you're a chronic pain patient that requires long-term pain management, a regular doctor can no longer prescribe them, they have to be prescribed by a specialist that is trained to treat pain. Learn more Oxycontin details here. And most places have gotten a lot busier since these laws were put in place and everyone has to switch to pain management. Is ...

I need a pain doctor or pain clinic who doesn't require a referral, takes Medicare and Medicaid, who will prescribe my Xanax 2mg, Dilaudid 8mg, Roxy 30, Soma 350mg. I have my paperwork from the hospital state to take these meds. I need someone in Atlanta Ga, or Roswell Ga, Lwrncvil Ga. ## Hello, Cindy! How are you? I'm sorry that you're in pain. As to your medications, it is doubtful that you will find one doctor that will prescribe them all. Due to the new regulations that were put in place last year, you need to see a specialist, so for that list, you'll most likely need to see a pain management specialist, as well as a psychiatrist for the Xanax. These medications carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dr...

Hi! I am visiting my family in Texas from Atlanta. I have pinched a nerve in my shoulder since I've been here. The only thing my grandmother has to give me is Tramadol. I am hesitant to take it because I'm afraid it will screw me up and I won't be able to take my evening dose of suboxone 4mg. Does anyone have any advice on this? ## I would advise against the Tramadol because (a) it is contraindicated while taking suboxone, and (b) it would most likely affect any lab work which your pm specialist would have you submit and you would risk being discontinued treatment. Instead, you should double check with your doctor or pharmacist if you can take an OTC pain medication such as Ibuprofen or Acetaminophen, just don't take any other opioid type of medication. I hope this helps...
