Swollen gums due to bad tooth that needs to be pulled I don't know how much more detail than that I need to put on here because her gums are swollen and it's because of her tooth being infected or her roots or something ## Hello, Josh! How are you? This is an antibiotic, so it may help with such an infection. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. However, it will not fix whatever underlying issue has caused the infection, so she will need to see her dentist, or the infection may return. Is there anything else I can help with?

For an infection developed around the tooth, is it advisable to take ofloxacin and ornidazole tablets (Zanocin-Oz) for the infection? It has gastric problem associated with it. ## What has your dentist advised you to take? They should be guiding you in finding the appropriate antibiotic to treat the infection and when to return to have the tooth repaired. If you aren’t seeing your dentist, then the infection will just keep returning, since an antibiotic isn’t going to remedy the underlying cause of an infection, such as a deep dental cary. ## My teeth and gums are infected. Should I take Zanocin-Oz twice? Is it ok?
