I broke my leg 2 years ago and now have a heel spur, arthritis on the top of my foot and a pinched nerve aka CRPS (Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome) in my ankle. I am hopefully getting a spinal cord stimulator surgically installed in a couple months. I truly don't know how much longer I can handle the pain. I take 16mg of Suboxone everyday, I want to ask my doctor if he can switch me to a strong opiate for the next couple months and then switch back to Suboxone but wean off in a week instead of long term maintenance. I know Suboxone helps with pain but surely an opiate will be stronger? ## Yeah it definitely would, I don’t think you can easily make the switch though. I know that when I withdrew from regular pain medication withdrawal was over in a few days, I mean it took a full...

does trazodone help relieve pain?? I have foot, ankle, knee, heel, toes, and hip pain. All the time... ## The FDA classifies Trazodone as a tetracyclic antidepressant and they can sometimes help with some types of nerve pain, due to the way they act on chemicals in the brain. Has your doctor prescribed it for you? Its typical side effects are listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, mood swings and weight changes.

Because last January my two ankles were swollen and I have heel pain. I've undergone different laboratory diagnostics and x-ray's and my rheumatologist told me that I have a reactive arthritis. In my last appointment she gave me ferrous fumerrate and vit d2, along with mobic. When I asked a pharmacist he recommend neurobion forte.

Hi I've been taking brintellix for six days and I am also taking 25mg of hydrochlothazide, 37.5 of phentermine and 20 meqs of potassium ×2 and I am having pains (6 on a scale of one to ten) in my left upper thing (back), back of knee, inside ankle and foot / heel. My left leg/ thigh in warmer then the right probably because of the pain. My leg also feels 'dry' which is weird. I have some gastritis but nothing unreasonable. I do have to hurry to the restroom after I take my morning dose of brintellix- which I take with all the other meds. It doesnt cause too much nausea but definitely some. I am afraid that maybe something is severely wrong because of my left limb pain. Its not swollen just a little numb and very sore. My bottom hurts also. Am I doing something wrong? I ...

I took this for a week which ended about a month ago. I'm 46 and a runner. Since taking these meds, my left heel and calf have hurt (tender on the inside of heel under ankle and tight calf). Now my right ankle has begun hurting and I've never had issues with these before. I can barely walk in the mornings. What are my options here? I'm certain there was no mention of tendon damage in the side effects. I don't need a 6 month layoff from running and constant pain to boot. ## Hello, Jeff! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem you've been having. This antibiotic isn't one of those known to cause that type of problem, but it would likely be best to have it checked out, just to be sure. Are you on any other medications? Do have any medical conditions? ## After c...

I was just reading everything on the site about oxy's. I used to abuse them and have found myself finally unfortunately I had to get arrested in the process but went to rehab and came out a new found person. I know someone who currently uses them because of the pain he has in his knee ankle and heel from a motorcycle accident he was in and currently has rumetory arthritis (spelled that wrong lol) but you got the hint. He just went to pick up his script for 60 pills and Walgreens had him sitting there for over an hour because they always tell him he needs the pre-authorization which is always sent by the doctor before he even goes to pick them up. So need less to say......he sat there for over an hour and was then told that THEY ARE DISCONTINUING 40 AND 80 MGS OPS AND OCS ALTOGETHER....

I'm a text book described person who should have no problem getting a Rx from my PCP yet he refuses adamantly to prescribe. He says they are addictive yet yrs ago when I did have a script, I had no feeling of addiction only relief from cramps and pain from a serious MVA where an 'L' shaped plate with 8 attachment screws were permanently placed in my right heel/ankle. Soma/ carisoprodol is the best medication for this type of pain but no docs are prescribing? any reasons? ## SOMA has little therapeutic properties but it sure feels good! Things have changed much over the years, SOMA is now a controlled medication and Doctors are very aware that they make you feel high and they are addictive ## If you ask for a specific medication, then doctors usually view that as being drug s...

I started taking a 10 day prescription for Nitrofurantoin at 6 months pregnant for a UTI almost 4 weeks ago. Eight or nine days into taking it, my heart rate went up to 173. For about 14 hours it fluctuated above 145. Three days after that went away, I got a pressure headache that felt like someone was squeezing my head and broke out in hives. A few days following that I ended up having severe joint and muscle pain, stiff ankles, my heels feel like they are on fire. And I CANNOT walk! The pain is excruciating. It hurts to sit, stand, and especially walk. The headache went away, the rapid pulse, and the rash is getting better, but the tremendous joint pain remains. It hurts so bad at times I just cry! I pray that the baby is ok. I usually use cranberry extract and natural cures, but this...
