Just wondering if you can ovulate during breakthrough bleeding/periods on this pill. ## Hi, Tammie! How are you? No, as long as you haven't missed any active pills, then ovulation should not occur. The hormones in these tables suppress ovulation, that's how they help prevent pregnancy. Is there anything else I can help with? Any other questions or concerns? ## What if I forgot a blue pill but took 2 the next day about 5 hours appart? Am I still protected if I had intercourse the day I missed one. (I took one right after ad another 5 hours later at my normal time. The next my period/spotting stopped.

Hello, I am concerned I am ovulating and the pill is not working. I took plan b 20 hrs after the condom failed. It is possible I was ovulating. Now 3 days later I feel the twinge of ovulation, that dull ache in my lower stomach. Also my cervical mucus has changed like ovulation. I'm very worried that the pill is not working? Thoughts? ## Hello, Kos! How are you? Has there been any change? Plan B is very effective if taken within the first 24 hours, though there is always a small risk that it won't work. The symptoms you described can be typical side effects of taking it, according to FDA reports. You may also experience nausea, headache, and spotting, however yes, they could also be signs of ovulation. If you don't start your period when you should, it would be best to have ...

Hi.I've never used a pill before,so I'm in desparate need of help.Bought my pills 10 days ago and forgot that I had them till tonight after making love to my husband. I'm ovulating already. Can I take them NOW? ## Hello, Neo! How are you? You can start them at any time, but you must take them for a full 7 days, before they will protect you against pregnancy. So, they will not prevent pregnancy, if you didn't use some other form of protection, when you had intercourse earlier with your husband. You may experience side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability and breakthrough bleeding. Is there anything else I can help with?

Hey I have been on oralcon for 3 years now I have been drinking antibiotics for 2 days and I started to get my period while on oralcon and in that 2 day I have had intercourse with boyfriend. please tell me what's wrong ## Hello, Roxy! How are you? Some antibiotic can reduce the effectiveness of oral contraceptives, which increases your risk of pregnancy. It causes you to absorb less of the estrogen in them, so the proper balance of hormones is no longer present in your body to prevent you from ovulating. Did your doctor not warn you about this?

I took Accutane when I was 17 for a few months and then a month when I turned 18 so maybe 5-6 months all together, im 21 now and me and my fiancé have been trying for a baby for about 8 months now and nothing is happening, my periods are irregular so I never really know when im ovulating so that might be the cause, I started looking into Accutane as a cause of infertility and im overwhelmed with everything that ive found. Can someone please tell me if Accutane could be the cause of infertility?? ## Hello, Bluegrassgirl! How are you? If your periods are irregular, it's most likely to be related to that. Years ago, when I had the same problem, it took well over a year for me to become pregnant with my son. Have you consulted an OB Gyn? That should be able to do some testing to le...

Hi, I am 20 yrs old and I have the problem of irregular periods. Either it doesn't come for months and months n when it comes, it continues to for about a month. Can I please get a reason and solution to dis problem? I've been consulting a homeopath for three months.. He has given me several medicines: Lachesis 25, iodium, uspilago maydis (phi), phosphorous 25, iodium 5x. ## Most commonly such an issue is caused by a hormonal imbalance, as reported by the NIH, the issue you've described often occurs due to your not producing enough progesterone, which means you likely aren't ovulating each month. Are you on any other medications? The best thing to do, actually, would be to consult an actual doctor, you may need to take a hormonal supplement for a few months to get things...

pls miss my preiod for two month now pls Dr wot can i do ## It's normal for some women to occasionally miss their period. I know this is obvious, but if you're intimately active with your partner you should take a pregnancy test just to make sure you're not pregnant. My ex-gf had endometriosis and would sometimes miss her period. The human body is complex and your hormones can vary over time. How old are you Seun? Older women aged 40-60 can go through menopause and stop ovulating. Has anything in your life changed significantly recently? Sometimes stress can make you miss a period. Are you on birth control? Many birth control types will cause women to miss their periods or have one so light that they hardly notice. ## It is true if a mother is still in breast feedingshe wipp...

I am 28 years old and got married last year. I had two miscarriages. After my first miscarriage I had my period regularly but a less amount of bleeding. After consulting a doctor I was advised to take ovacare tablets for 6 months. Does this tablet help me to conceive a baby? ## Hello, Shakira! How are you? This is just a nutritional supplement, so the only way it will help is if your issues have been caused by a lack in one of the vital nutrients it contains, as reported by the NIH. I'm not sure if the doctor told you, but the amount of blood actually doesn't matter, it is whether or not you are ovulating each month and how much progesterone you are producing. Have you considered seeing a specialist? You really need to discover what specifically caused the miscarriages and how t...

So long story short, me and my girlfriend got frisky and I came on her vag but she was wearing 2 layers of clothes (leggings and underwear) but it appears to have seeped through and she complained to me about a strange feeling all night and in the next morning. She was ovulating at the time when I came on her and what came out of her was thick and white I said it could be vaginal discharge as it was the logical thing to say but it can also be semen if any got in her. and she also panicked thinking it was semen. Around 18 hours after I came on her I got her plan B to just make sure she doesn’t get pregnant l. She started feeling pregnancy symptoms/the side effects of plan B (Nausea and headaches, etc). Her concern is that the pill won’t work even though it has such a high per...

I started Evamist in August 2013 and have gained nine pounds since starting estrogen. My doctor days it isn't the evamist but I'm struggling to believe that. I exercise at least 6 days a week - weight training and spinning classes - and am very careful with my diet. I'm exasperated. I can't keep the weight off. Every week another pound heavier lately. Has anyone had a similar experience? ## Hello, Susan! How are you doing? Sorry about the weight gain issue. Yes, Evamist certainly could be what's caused it, any form of estrogen can do that. Estrogens are the reason many women gain weight, when they enter perimenopause and the first phase of menopause. Once they stop ovulating regularly, they have higher amounts of estrogen in their bodies that is being unopposed by pr...

Is it possible to fall pregnant without your period after nuristrate ## There is a slight chance, if you are still ovulating, but it isn't very likely. In most cases, if you aren't having your period, then you aren't ovulating, which means there is no egg available each month to be fertilized. Have you had your hormone levels tested? You may be too low in progesterone, so it may need to be supplemented back. The short period of using the Nuristrate may not have been enough to do it. ## So what's the advice of getting back my period ## i stoped nuristrate 3months ago and had a normal periods,i recently had unprotected intercourse but the prego is negative. i need a baby asap ## Had intercourse wen my bby ws 2mnths so Is there a chance of getting pregnant ## Well ever sinc...

I am having irregular periods due to which I am not able to conceive. doctor suggested me premarin tablet and panozen-DSR capsules.i want to know what is the use of these tablets in my case. plz help . ## The Premarin contains synthetic estrogens, but I have to say that it isn't likely to help regulate your cycle and enable you to get pregnant. Estrogen is usually what causes them to be irregular. If they are already irregular and you aren't ovulating, then you'd need some form of Progesterone to help. Are you certain your doctor said Premarin?

I have noticed hair loss when shampooing hair. I was taking a pill c-triest.progesterone 2mg/100mg. Took for 6 months and got off of it for 3 months, Started taking again in January. Could any of this cause hair loss? ## Hello, Lily! How are you? Yes, the estrogens can cause hair loss, especially if they are the dominant hormone. That's actually why many women in perimenopause and menopause experience hair loss, when you don't ovulate each month, or stop ovulating, you don't produce as much progesterone, but you are always inundated with estrogens. You may want to speak to your doctor about making some dosage adjustments, such as raising the progesterone and/or lowering the estrogens. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Thanks for your help.

Hi, I am 30 yrs... I have continuous bleeding for 10 days to 15 days in my period. Dr. advised me to take Regestrone. So plz tell me the use of Regestrone..what is it doses, please...Help me out... ## Hello, Muskan! How are you? Regestrone contains the hormone progesterone, which is vital to the female menstrual cycle. In many cases of prolonged bleeding, such as what you're experiencing, it's due to the woman not ovulating and producing enough progesterone naturally, it lets the estrogen build the endometrial lining far too thickly. Thus, it would be best for you to try it according to your doctor's instructions. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Hi.. I was having the same problem.. Bleeding for 10 days and that too very heavy. I took regestrone for 3 months from 1...

Hi, I skipped a period for the 1st time last month and my gyn gave me Primolut Nor 5mg twice a day for 5 days. I stopped 4 days ago and still no period. Is this normal. I am 41, not pregnant and still ovulating. Thank you ## Did they do any testing to check your hormone levels? Even if you are still ovulating, at 41 you could be entering the beginning stages of menopause, called perimenopause, it can actually start as young as 30. If that's what's going on, the Norethisterone in the Primolut Nor taken for just a few days may not be enough to rebalance your hormones. Learn more Norethisterone details here. It is a Progestogen and, in most cases, if you're hormones are starting to taper off, it's Estrogen that's usually falling and needed the most. Skipping just once i...

i am getting light fever in the nights from past 8 days. I am married and age 26years. I am doing job. timings 9.30 to 6pm ## Have you talked to a doctor? You should do so, to get to the root of the problem. It can be normal for your body temperature to elevate, at night, it can also be caused by hormones, if you are ovulating, but it could be a medical problem, as well. Without an exam, it is really difficult to make a guess. ## When fever temp high same as blood also. if it correct this temp blood passes through heart can liquidate vane blockages. I started my new pack and only took three pills. Because I missed so many I just decided to stop it all together. Trying to get pregnant. Now I've been off for about two weeks. I'm ovulating this week. Now I am having cramps and very light spotting. Am I going to start my period early because I stopped taking it on day three? ## Hello, Heather! How are you doing? Has anything changed? Yes, that can occur, since this is a hormonal contraceptive, as classified by the FDA. The cramping can also be a withdrawal effect, you may also experience headache and other PMS-like symptoms. In a few weeks, however, things should return to normal, if not, then please consult your doctor. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Looks like I started my menstralcycle early.
