The best doctor to consult is a psychiatrist, your PCP should be able to refer you to one. Adderall requires a prescription. The FDA classifies it as a stimulant that carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, insomnia and weight loss. Not everyone with such symptoms requires medications, behavioral therapies do help some people. Is there anything else I can help with?

I am taking 150mg to 300mg of Lyrica daily. The problem here is that I do not have a prescription. I take them from my boyfriends' bottle which he is prescribed. I am on other medication that are prescribed to me such as; Methadone, Prozac, Lorazepam, Seroquel (just to name a few). I started taking Lyrica because I was curious. Now I am addicted to the stuff and I'm too afraid to tell my doctor or my boyfriend. I am more depressed, anxious, think about death all the time and cry constantly. All of the narcotic opiates have the potential to be habit forming and addictive, including Nucynta. And a person who has had a problem with addiction in the past is more prone to develop one with any new medication introduced that has addictive potential. Have you discussed the issue with your doctor? They may be able to help you discover a viable option. Outside of the narcotics, there are some pretty strong NSAIDs, but they aren't going to help much with severe pain. What have you already tried?

I have been diagnosed with clynical depression and none of the anti depressents helped ,my brother was diagnosed with add attention deficit disorder,so when he got prescribed adderalls I tried one because I always felt tired ,slept 2 years through and just did not have any will or hope left ,after tryimg the adderall it gave me energy ,I actually started taking walks the bottom life is it saved my life,now the new law came out that unless you are 20 years and under your insuriance will not cover the script,therefore my condition worsened and i went right back into my little corner as i did 1 year ago for multiple years in a row ,now is this only in NY State or is this everywhere else as well,I cannot afford them I am legally disabled due to my condition ,please reply. trying to find a doctor who will prescribe easily in NJ, who wont ask any questions ## Hi lexie, To my knowledge, virtually any type of doctor can see you for ADHD (pediatrician, psychiatrist, regular MD). Whether or not they want to pursue treatment is up to them and if so they might go for another medication rather than Adderall. Chances are if you walk in and say you have ADHD, then ask for an Adderall script you won't get it because it is seen as what they call "drug seeking behavior". Also, you can't expect them to not ask any questions, because that is essentially part of their job in making sure they give you the right medication and aren't just handing it over to someone who only wants to abuse it. My son is 14 and has been taking Concerta for the past few years. Although his dose fluctuated, he was not perscribed the highest dose available. Now his doctors have changed his prescription to AdderallXR. Because the active ingredients are so similar to Meth, and knowing how very addicitive Amphedimines are, what are the chances he will be hooked unkowingly to speed and become one of the many lying, underhanded criminals associated with young men in our society ? I'm here to try and help someone because I'm in the same boat as everyone here. I started using percs 10 years ago and got off them about 6 years. Well, I started back up 3 years ago. I am taking up to 15/day for 3 years consecutively without missing one day. I'm not going to go into the drawn out story about why I started, like everyone else here, the point is "we're all addicted".
