Recently had surgery and have developed allergy to acetominophen. Doctor does not want me to take ibuprofen, Aleve, or ASA. What are my choices?? Tramadol does not provide any pain relief. ## There are other NSAIDs on the market that you might be able to try. You can learn more about them here: There are also many opiates available, without being coupled with any of the medications you listed, you can learn about them and the available options here: Another over the counter option might be Naproxen, but I recommend also checking with your doctor, before taking it: Did your doctor make any suggestions?

I am a Canadian resident in Costa Rica since 1984. I have a lot of med. problems. No thyroid (papillary carsinoma), ACFA patient, high blood pressure, sick sinus of the heart syndrome, pacemaker, 2 heart valves need replacement, abdominal hernia, needs surgery. foot bunions and distorted feet waiting surgery many years, shortness of breath, electrical pain from osteo arthritis in all joints, and pelvis, impinchment of pelvis, worn out bone surfaces at joints, using a lot of meds for above conditions. Using acetaminophen with codeine, 4 tablets in 24 hours, to cover the pain. Less won't work. Have treatment for retention of water, anticoagulation (warfarin), blood pressure, arrhythmea, and thyroid (eutiroxina). Will the pain medicine cause lesions to kidneys and liver? ## Acetaminoph...

acetominophen andchlormexanone ## i'd like to know what is beserol and what it is used for ## This medication is unavailable in the U.S. and I am sorry to say that other countries do not regulate their prescription drugs as strictly as the FDA does. That said, finding information on them is very difficult, since there are no databases which list them all, like there are for U.S. prescription drugs. The only thing I can suggest is that you try asking your doctor or pharmacist for more information. ## Beserol is part muscle relaxant, part paracetamol. Used to treat body aches, sprains. Side effects for people allergic to the muscle relaxant part (me included) include painful, swollen mouths or faces. Hope that helps! ## does beserol contain ibuprofen or any related drug to it? if some...

My orthopedic surgeon prescribed hydrocone-acetominophen 7.5/325 after my knee replacement surgery a month ago. Since I am taking levothyroxine, I had a bad reaction to the surgery--I think it was the anesthesia--and couldn't hold any food down for two days. But now, I'm finding that I'm getting desensitized to the hydrocodone and the 3X a day that the doctor prescribed for it isn't enough, and I am in pain after a few hours, and the amount of time I am pain free gets less and less with every passing day. I have started taking the hydrocodone every six hours (4X daily) and even that is not enough to control the pain. What should I do? ## It would be best to inform your doctor, because you may need to try a different medication, or you may need to switch to the 10/325mg d...

Hi, I want to wean off Oxycodone 5/325 onto Codeine with Acetominophen 30/300. I take one and a half every four hours or so. Can I start reducing the amount of Oxycodone to one, and then half and in the meantime start taking one one of the Codeine and working up to two as I taper down? ## I do think that is a wise approach, however, there is an interaction between Oxycodone and Codeine. This interaction states the following: "MONITOR: Central nervous system- and/or respiratory-depressant effects may be additively or synergistically increased in patients taking multiple drugs that cause these effects, especially in elderly or debilitated patients." "MANAGEMENT: During concomitant use of these drugs, patients should be monitored for potentially excessive or prolonged CNS and r...

I have been taking Hydrocodone-Acetominophen 7.5-325 for years for degenerative disks in my back. The generic Aurobindo tablets don't work for me and make me nauseated. Applause go to: Mallinckrodt. Mallinckrodt manufactures that same prescription (white pill M366) and they are the only ones I have found that actually work with no unpleasant side effects. I really wish my pharmacy hadn't switched manufacturers. I am extremly disappointed in Aurobindo generic for Norco. The other one that didn't work was orange with a V on one side and 36|05 on the other, manufactured by Qualitest. It was garbage, just like the Aurobindo. ## I've probably just read 50 reviews on Hydrocodone 10-325's & you're the first person that actually has something good to say about Mallin...

if i take parasetamole tablet with alcohall wat will happen.....? ## Paracetamol is nothing but Tylenol or acetominephin. Dont take with alcohol. Both can be hard on your liver ## Bella is correct. Paracetamol is Acetaminophen, which is the active ingredient in Tylenol and it can be very hard on the liver, so it is very dangerous to mix it with alcohol. In addition, alcohol can enhance any possible side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, stomach irritation and headache. Learn more: Are there any other questions or comments? ## hi i hope you still reply on here, im an alcaholic i drink everyday for the last 5 or 6 months i been diagnosed with parasites and have to take flagentyl 500 mg i cant stop drinking alcohol coz well i work as a bartender so today i took my first pill and im pretty...

I was prescribed Vicodin for a dental implant and as given the hydrocodon acetominiphen 7.5-325, and had a reaction to them..It caused itching all over and wheezing. I have taken the name brand with no issues. where can I find out what the ingredients are in this? Could there be gluten in them as I have a gluten problem. ## Hello, Ellen! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem you had. It is always possible to develop an allergy to something, even if you took it before, without a problem. So, we can't rule out that possibility. As to the inactive ingredients, in the orange/peach oval tablet with the V 3605 marking, they are listed as being: croscarmellose sodium FD&C Red No. 40 FD&C Yellow No. 6 lactose Monohydrate magnesium stearate microcrystalline cellulose povidone ...

What drugs are given with or before the infusion of Remicade? ## My nurse gives me IV Benadryl and two oral Acetominaphen. I still through the infusion like a baby. :) ## I get Solu-Medrol thru the IV before they start the Remecade because the first time I had infusion of Remecade I developed rash on my ankles and thighs. They also give me 2 acetaminophen & oral Bendryl 250mg. ## What the others have posted seems to about the norm for those being given Remicade, though it can sometimes vary depending on a person's individual needs. in general, they are given to help prevent some of the possibly side effects, which the FDA lists as possibly including chills, fever, headache, and rash. Can anyone else chime in with their experiences?

I have hepitus c and take 4 10/325 percocfts a day.Am I hurting my liver? ## Yes. You are taking 1300mg of acetominaphin (tylenol) each day which you should not be taking ESPECIALLY if you already have liver damage to begin with. Talk to you Dr. about removing the tylenol from your daily meds and trying something different. ## Have your doctor prescribed them for you, and are they monitoring you regularly? It isn't that it can't be taken, but you do have to be very cautious. Acetaminophen can be very detrimental, and could contribute to further liver damage, or liver failure. The FDA also warns against drinking alcohol while taking these medications, and/or having any type of liver problem. The Oxycodone in Percocet is available by itself, so you could ask your doctor about pres...

If I have taken a Tylenol 3 earlier and had no relief, how long do I wait to take a Percocet 10/325mg pill? ## See what it says on your Tylenol 3 dosage. It depends on the amount of acetominophen in both pills. You cannot exceed 4,00 mg per day. A 10/325 Percocet- you can technically take them together. If you look at an Extra Strength Tylenol bottle, you can take 1,000 mg at a time. The Percocet alone is ok at 10 mg. Doctors can prescribe the Percocet alone although it is frowned upon. If you have ever been told that you have liver damage, call your doctor. ## What Skeeter stated about the Acetaminophen/Tylenol is correct, you should not exceed 4,000mgs in a 24 hour period, and each dose of the regular release formulations should not exceed 1,000mgs per dose. Thank you for this very supportive forum! I hope someone can ease my worried mind. I had wrist surgery ten days ago during which time a titanium plate and screws were attached to the broken bone(s). I was prescribed Hydrocodone/Acetominopen (5/325) for pain, but used only six of the 20 tablets during the past ten days. I've had pin-point pupils since that time --which I hope can be attributed to the Hydrocodone. Is it possible that using six tablets in ten days could cause this side effect? If so, how long can I expect this condition to last? Incidentally, I called my pharmacy today, the surgeon's office, and my primary care doctor --and no one knew that Hydrocodone could cause pin-point pupils. My GP wants me to see him on Monday so he can order neurologic testing! Please help!...
