I have a new pill my dr called in it is oval orange V on one side and 3605 on other side shows it's Hydrocodone 7.5/325 I was previous on Hydrocodone 7.5/500 not sure why dr changed it! Is the 7.5/325 a stronger pill as I have severe back issues so wondering if that's y the change! Thanks! ## The 325/500 is the amount of acetaminophen in the capsule. Most Dr.s will try to keep you on the lower end to avoid liver damage. Your pain relief should be the same. ## Hello, Carolyn! How are you? The ones with the higher amounts of Acetaminophen are no longer available. Since it does potentiate the action of the Hydrocodone, if you find it doesn't work as well for your pain, please contact your doctor, as they may need to change your dosage of it. Is there anything else I can help wi...

I received my metformin 500 Er pills, white elliptical, for diabetes 2. I was given 3 bottles 360 each. I opened the 3rd bottle and noted the pills are a little smaller and instead of IP 178 on the pill...it has 101 imprinted on one side and the other side is blank. What did they give me. Is it metformin 500 Er or a mistake? ## Hello, Diane! How are you? I can't find anything in the databases with this marking. Can you please double check and post back? The FDA lists the typical side effects of Metformin as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, diarrhea, flatulence, and stomach pain.

I just got my refill for Losartan with 113 on one and S on the other side, so I'm wondering if this is the right one? My pills are usually green and oval shaped. ## Anita, I can confirm that a white round pill with the imprint 113 HH is Losartan Potassium 100 mg. (NDC code 16571-502). Although I am a bit confused because in your message you are also saying that your refill contained pills with the imprint 113 S which also happens to be another brand of Losartan Potassium 100 mg (NDC code 43547-362). It is common to see the same generic drug manufactured by many different companies, thereby taking different appearances. Can you please share any other details? Which pills did in fact appear in your refill? The ones described in the title of this page, or in your message?

I normally recieve blue loritabs this month went to the pharmacy that didnt pay attention to scripts they were filling because they tried to double up a new antidepressent w another stronger antidepressant from my file that I no longer take cuz it makes me sick. So the pills I got this month are labeled the same Hydrocodon-acetaminophn 10-500 but are pink instead of blue and have a V on 1 side and 3600 on the other??? ## Hi gabby, In this case, it appears that both pills have the same dosage and are likely just manufactured by different companies. When you switch brand names, the drug itself doesn't change, but rather the binders or fillers that they put with it. Certain "inactive" ingredients that may or may not be present in each brand, are actually detrimental to how the ...

I know this pill is hydrocodone. What I'm trying to find is the milligram. It has an m566 on it and the other side is blank. ## @Jsnet, The oval white pill in question is actually combination of Acetaminophen (325mg) + Hydrocodone bitartrate (7.5 mg). For verification, the manufacturer is listed as Mallinckrodt and the pill itself carries a National Drug Code of 00406-0366. You can also view an image of the pill by clicking on the NDC link above. I hope this helps!

Mallinckrodt hydrocodone/apap pills several years ago changed. This sounds like a similar thing to what used to be the caplet (large) shaped pills; M 0367 is now the M367 10/325mg tablet. I believe that they all changed to the same size and shape, dropping initial '0'. Some codes went out of use, most changed inbthe way described, but this tablet, if one og those, is unlikely to be of use, those things having changed well over 15 years ago. Advice; email Covidien. When in doubt... I did the same with Aspen re: Pax diazepam and Purata oxazepam, recently changed, and received courteous reply reassuring me within 48 hours. Write! ## The marking on the pill in question is often misinterpreted, since it can be hard to read on the small tablet, but it is actually M 0552 and the tablet...

I have two peach colored/oblong pills..On one side is a V on the other side is the #'s 36 05 Would like to know what strength they are & what the 36 05 means. Also these pills are scored. ## Hello, Sparkplug! How are you? This tablet contains 7.5mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. As to the numbers, all manufactured prescription tablets in the U.S. are required to have markings to enable their identification, in case of emergency, so those numbers are just something used by the company in their imprint, which is registered with FDA to identify their product. Is there anything else I can help with?

If the V on the other side of the pill is upside down, does that mean it's fake? ## Hello, Kathy! How are you? No, that does not necessarily mean it is a fake, that can vary, depending on how they fell into that particular pill press at the particular manufacturing facility. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. I use to be on generic Lortab. 7.5 and my doctor switch the medicine to Norco 7.5 (V 36 05). I still don't get any relief. I looked it up and its the same med as the Lortab. Something seems shady, is he trying to trick me. ## First of all, your doctor has no control over which tablet your pharmacy has in stock and fills your prescription with. Your doctor can only designate certain things, such as you only get the brand name and/or that you only get tablets or capsules, but not from what company, so you doctor had no way of knowing you'd be getting the one with this marking, when you got your prescription filled. That is entirely up to your pharmacy and which one they have in stock. Just as an example, to ensure that I'm explaining this clearly, to make sure that I can split...

found pill with v on one side and 3605 on the other what is it ## Hi Walt, From what I understand, the cursive "V" actually represents Vintage Pharmaceuticals who now holds the name Qualitest. However the pill you have there marked "V 36 05" is identified as a generic Norco tablet containing 325mg of Acetaminophen + 7.5mg of Hydrocodone; used for treating moderate to severe pain. I found a white pill left at our business area yesterday. It is white and has M363 on one side and nothing on the other but just a line through the middle. I have been taking Norco light orange, V 36 05, now I was given Norco white M366, which has a better reputation for pain relief? ## Hello, Pay! How are you? Both contains 7.5mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I have two halves of hydrocodone that both say M36 and the other half is gone. Are Hydrocodone 5's M365 and 10's M367 the exact same size pill or is one smaller? Have a yellow oval pill one side V, other side 10/95 ## "V 10 95" doesn't seem to exist in my own investigation. "V 36 01" appears to be the closest known representation, for if you accidentally hold it upside down on the back the numbers read out very similar to 10 95. Depending on its overall condition, the backwards 3 may resemble a 5. Never the less, we can at least determine that the manufacturer is probably Qualitest (Vintage) Pharmaceuticals since they're the only company with a "V" and two other sets of numbers depicted in such a way. Did you get this filled at a local pharmacy?
