Is there such thing as a 25mg Percocet? If so, what is the shape and color of the medication? ## No, there is not. Percocet contains Acetaminophen and Oxycodone, the maximum dosage available contains 10mgs of Oxycodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. I've been taking Norco 10/3.25 for years for severe chronic pain--It's now no longer effective at all--I'm wondering about changing to Percocet 10/3.25 and whether this would be a stronger, more effective and longer lasting med to take--I've tried also Oxy.10 mg. hcl and they work so so and notice I need to take way more often than I ever did with Norco. I'm taking 15mg of morphine and my doctor wants to give me percocet due to a recent diagnosis, so I'm kinda wondering if the medication I have now is better or is it about the same? ## Hi Shelly, According to nih.gov, Oxycodone (one of the main active ingredients in Percocet) is said to be approximately 1.5x stronger than Morphine. If this holds true and I did the math correctly, then 7.5mg of Oxycodone would be equal to about 11.25mg of Morphine (7.5 x 1.5 =11.25); and 10mg of Oxycodone would be equal to about 15mg of Morphine (10 x 1.5 =15). The addition of Acetaminophen in Percocet would probably top the 15mg of Morphine if you were prescribed the 10/325 dosage form. I hope this makes sense!? Horrible experience with RP 10/325 generic for Percocet 10/325 prescribed by my Pain Mgt Dr. I got the prescription filled at Walmart a month ago. I have been on 80 mgs of Percocet for a number of ailments for 9years and now because of some kind of law I only get 22,5 mgs a day. I have had 3 back surgeries including a spinal stimulator along with 4 hip scopes. I have yet to find a med that helps. I was on fentyal 50mmg then was switched to 30mg MS Contin. I think fentyal was better but I am only the patient. I was on 7.5 percocet for almost 3 years and feel I built up tolerance. My wife says I have a high tolerance for medications with low tolerance of pain. Stimulator doesn't help anymore as it doesn't control region of pain. I see doctor on tuesday and don't know what to do. I feel may be treated as med seeker. I've been taking oxycodone for about 2 1/2 years. I started off half 5/325 percocet and would get sick, but gradually now to 30mg at once every other day. I've been taking 20 mg at night lately, been taking during the day as well for the past 2-3 weeks. I have been feeling a little sick to my stomach, so I believe I'm beginning to feel withdrawal symptoms on my days off. Like I said I normally take 25 mg Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday - so about 5x a week and I want to stop now. I don't wanna go to a clinic. I have some pills that I've found from a old script. I know that they are generic percocets (oxycodone) but I don't know if they are 5/325 or 10/325. 5 or 10mg. they are round white tablets with a line thru one side and Watson 932 on the other. My husband has a history of back pain since 1985. He has had 3 back surgeries, epidural injections and 2 spinal column stimulator implants. His last surgery in 2006 was quite successful. He was on 180 mg of Avinza and percocet for breakthrough pain. He has gradually reduced his medication to 30 mg twice daily of morphine sulphate and has maintained this dosage for 2 years.
