Tozaar 50, Amloguard5, Metolar Xr50

I am taking above medicines. BP is controlled. Before adding metolar XR50 about 3 months ago, My BP was 140/90 only for two days. My BP is getting very low. I am also diabetic taking zoreyl3, einselin2, glyciphage 6(500) mg. My sugar got low to 54. I stopped the medicines for diabetes as per dr for 2 days. Itake 75 mug thyroxine and t3 t4 TSH are well maintained. My pathological reports for kidney, chlorestal, HDL,LDL,Etc are within limits.

Amlogard contains the active ingredient Amlodipine.

All of these are commonly used to help lower blood pressure.

How low are your current blood pressure readings?

If it was only high for 2 days, then I have to wonder why your doctor added another medication. 140/90 is not a dangerous reading and, in most cases, just temporarily upping the dosage of one you are already one, for a day or two, will help bring it back down.

In my case, my doctor usually has me adjust my Atacand as needed, which contains Candesartan in the same medication class as your Tozaar.

There are many factors that could have caused the temporary elevation, such as stress or if you had eaten within an hour of taking the reading or it can even occur if you had recently been out in cold weather.


In addition, many blood pressure medications have the tendency to work synergistically and this is specifically warned about when using the Metoprolol with the Amlodipine.

Have you talked to your doctor about making any adjustments to these specific medications?

i am 39 aged female since last year i am having bp 140/100 physician advised me to use tozar 50 my bp is under control however i am experiencing tingling sensation in my right palm suggest a remedy or should i change my medicine my fasting sugar is 75 which is normal
