Oxycontin 80 Op (Top voted first)

Updated

this is in reply to all who are complaining to the new oxycontin 80 OP. I have been takeing them for 2 years now. My last scrip is still the OC. I pray they are pulled before we get them here. There are other meds we all can go to such as the fent. Patch which comes in a lolly pop too. I bet they will be pulled & back to the old ones before the year is out

I know for a fact that the new ones do not work as the old ones did. I have seen first hand my spouse has been on the oxy for 10+yrs and was not having a lot of pain and could enjoy doing some things. Now he is in pain const and it has def, changed his personality due to his pain level now.I personally hope they go back to the old formula or he will be forced to change to something else. I also think that Perdue should be held responsible for changing the formula and ruining people lives to change something that did work. Changing the formula will not keep people from abusing drugs they will just find something else to take Oxy place. All they have managed to do is change a formula that worked for a lot of people.

Pharmacies are allowed to continue to dispense the original product, until their stocks runs out, then all will only be able to get the new Oxycontin OP.

There have, however, been many complaints that they do not work as well and cause odd side effects, even though they are supposed to work the same and have the same side effects.

Anyone that has problems should report them to both the FDA and Purdue at the following numbers:

Purdue Pharma number for drug safety/medication issues:

888.726.7535

FDA MedWatch number:

800-332-1088

Are there any questions or comments?

I found out today that the real reason that purdue has changed formula is because as some of you may know there was a generic oxycotin some years back. Purdue sued the company for infringing on their patten and won the law suit. By law a company can hold the monopoly on a drug for 7 years after the 7 years another company can come along and copy their formula UNLESS they change the formula then they can hold it for another 7 years. This is why purdue has done this, NOT because of the abuse. They dont give 2 s--ts about the abuse they only care about their money. Now for changing to another med. There is a new med out now called Exalgo which is a long acting dalatha pronounced da la ta. The problem is they are expensive. A little more expensive then the oxy and most insurance companys will not pay because they are new. There is also oxymorphone which Im told is a cross between oxycotin & da la ta. My advice is make your complaint calls and CHANGE! your meds! Lets fight back also those of you that are haveing problems? get a hold of your attorney and put your claim in ASAP. I changed to the fent. patch and my husband got a sample script for the new med and a month of the oxymorphone so I will let you know how it is working out for us. As the old saying goes Follow the MONEY and you will get to the bottom of the problem. That is what we have going on here folks. If everybody changed their meds then they would be forced to change. Hopefully some company will come along and start making the old formula. Good luck to all of you & God Bless. We have the right to live without pain. Exercise your right TODAY!

The new 40mg oxycontin and 80mg oxycontin op perdu pharma was forced to put junk in them to make them so hard they are passing right through people and they take way to long to work and do not last even 8 hours they are nogood. I'm trying to find a pharmacy that have them from a different company but no luck yet and them patches make to ,any people sick. We that are in severe pain need strong pain meds that work. I can't take morphine

I found out the new reason that Purdue has done this. As some of you may know there was a generic some years back and Purdue sued them for infringing on their patten and won the law suit. By law a company can hold a monopoly on a drug for 7 years before another company can copy the formula UNLESS they change the formula then they can hold the monopoly for another 7 years. It is not because of the abuse of the drug because I am sure they are well aware that any drug addict will just find another drug or find a way to work around their drug. It is because of MONEY just like everything else. Follow the money and you will find the real reason Purdue has done this. They dont give a s--t who ODs all they care about is the money. Now for something all of you oxy users there is a new drug on the market that you might want to check into the only problem is they are expensive just like the oxys but a little more and most insurance company's will not pay for it because it is new the name is Exalgo which is a long acting daletha. Then there is Oxymorphone , Im told this one is like a go between oxycotin & daletha dont know if I spelled that right for the daletha de la ta. I hope this helps some of you out there. My husband got a sample of the new med and is going to try the oxymorphone this month. I went to the fent patch. I will let everybody know how it is working out for us. My bottom advice is CHANGE! change your meds then purdue will have to change back or someone will come along and take over the old formula HOPEFULLY! good luck to all of you.
