Oxycodone Yellow Round Pill 230 (Top voted first)

Updated

Yes, it's a oxycodone 10mgs used for pain from a doctor and is only given by a doctor unless you find it on the streets and in that case can be very harmful to yourself. I've been on them after having my son when they had to get him out with a C/section I was taking two so 20mgs at a time and even with being on them a short period of time when I did get off of them I went through VERY painful withdrawal that I wouldn't wish on my worse enemy so if your taking them PLEASE PLEASE be smart about it I was under doctor supervision and still got hooked to them. Good luck to anyone needing help getting off them. Suboxone is something that really helps if used for a short period of time like a week or so.

It is very difficult for the majority to become dependent on Percocet after short term use. Also- withdrawal symptoms do not occur unless you're completely dependent. Short term use almost never causes withdrawal symptoms. My brother had acl surgery and was on 10-325 Percocet and experienced no withdrawal symptoms. Please do not advise people that they can become dependent and will experience withdrawal symptoms. You mentioned suboxone which is used for CHRONIC opiate dependent users. Read description on suboxone. You're information is based solely on self experience and has no merit in regards to the majority of users.

@Mama Suzi,

I have identified a yellow pill with the imprint 230 on one side and a "fancy" C on the backside as Acetaminophen (325 mg) + Oxycodone hydrochloride (10 mg).

Manufacturer: Alvogen, Inc.

The combination of Acetaminophen + Oxycodone (North American trade name Percocet, generic endocet) is a narcotic pain reliever used to treat moderate to severe acute (short-term) pain, marketed by Endo Pharmaceuticals. It is regulated as a schedule 2 narcotic by the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) which means that there is a high risk for dependency.

When it comes to dependency regarding Percocet, I believe you and John MS Exercise Science both make valid points. While these medications can cause dependency and withdrawal in some people (like it did for you), it definitely does not happen to everyone. Medication really does effect people differently and therefore some who have a history of addiction or have an "addictive personality" may have a higher risk of becoming dependent- more so than those who do not. It also depends on the dosage, taking 2 (20 mg) is a a fairly high dose so in your case the problems you experienced don't seem farfetched. Like you stated, you must be smart when using medications like Oxycodone and it's very important that you are under the care and supervision of a doctor.

You can learn more about this drug on the page for Percocet Details

Please post back if you have any questions or information to add!

So, you say you cant have withdrawals after chronic daily use of oxycodone?!? You are seriously wrong. Although the withdrawal will not be as potent as an illicit opiate withdrawel it is still considerably dangerous. After I use oxycodone. I always come off with suboxone. After 72 hours of opiates u are hooked whether u like it or not. Most of us have jobs and families and connot be seen barfing, sweating, and shaking during our everyday lives. This is why products like suboxone are completely necessary. I use opiates for recreational purposes and i always taper and ween off properly, otherwise u are setting yourself up for a hefty binge once u give in to withdrawals. Worst feeling in the world, I can deal with the physical but the mental is way worse. If u are an adult with a professional career u must always have a plan B to deal with any w/drawers. Xanax, oxy, suboxone; perfect recipe to never go through withdrawels again.
