i have been having trouble getting a good dr who will write oxycodone 30 mg. my back has been broken before and i was going all the way to Florida (a 16 hour drive) just to get my meds. So if anybody knows of any it would be helpful. i live in KY so as long as it is closer that's fine. Thank you.

I had to get mine filled at UK Hospital. It was very expensive. The only reason they even filled it was coz I've gotten a lot of my other scrips there & have a regular doc at UK. Do you know any place cheaper? $450 for 4 scrips.

He is a good caring doctor, he actually listens to you, the office isn't anything fancy and honestly the first time I walked in I was kind of taken aback thinking it was not going to be a place I'd want to continue going to BUT once I met Dr. G, I knew he was the right dr for me, he actually spends time with you instead of just writing a script and sending you on your way, the only thing I don't like is they are rarely running on schedule, but it's worth it, and yes he will write for the Roxicodone, maybe not your first visit unless you have documentation to show you have been prescribed it before. @Willow. There's a place in Wilmore which is 5 mins out of Nicholasville. It's called Sims Drugs. Their cheap & will fill it. @blondKygirl, He's a cool dr. Easy as it comes. He's ok. Dnt worry. Your 1st appt is important. He tends to stick to what he gives you on your 1st time. Hard to get him to increase your Meds do tell him what you want 1st appt.

I agree with this post. the politicians are using presription drugs to mask what is really going on in the country. The fact that the people of this country do NOT electric the president. The price of everything is sky high and keeps going up rapidly. Family are forced to combine their income with other family's to keep the lights on and food on the table.
It does not help that people who do not NEED pain medicine. But take it to get "HIGH" ruin it for the
True Chronic Pain Patient who suffers & has no quality of life.
SOMETHING HAS TO STOP THIS or I am afraid I might not be around to suffer any more.

Doolahlah, I know several folks on Suboxone, they love it too, some because it saved them from opiate hell, some because they love the high they get from it. I know you have been there, done that, but not everyone on here is a junkie, dependent most likely but not junkies and there is a difference! The first visit I made to my pain management doctor I cried, yes, in front of him, because of everything I've hears from folks about how all PM patients are junkies and will eventually OD, I was mortified at the thought, BUT he helped me, not only by prescribing meds but by explaining that what is wrong with me physically is REAL and in order to live a productive life I had to have help, am I dependent on my meds, but take them as prescribed, have my liver checked regularly and work between 40-50 hours a week, so please don't generalize everyone on pain medication, we aren't all junkies

Its so good to see people helping people out on here. I live in pittsburgh. there is no one around here that would remotly tell you a dr. to go to. Nobody around here helps and if they do anything they are awaiting some kind of payment. Good looking out for each other =D

Thanks so much for your advice and help, I just lost my insurance so hes one of the cheaper places I've found. I have my medical records to take but, they won't release my mri. I have scoliosis with a spinal fusion. So there is a scar from the top of my neck to my but crack. Do you think I will have an issue? Also I'm about to run out of my meds so what do I do until my appt?

I went to Dr.Rutledge for years and he is good. But, if you break the rules your screwed! He spends a lot of time talking with you to find out if you really need the medicine. I was discharged from his practice because, my ex boyfriend got mad that I was seeing another guy and then called my Dr. They called me in for a pill count and I had gotten another phone number. So therefore I missed the count. I had no clue about anything until I went in for my appt. then I was shocked and so upset!

hi deb...i am sorry if i offended u with my generalization, and i know better than that, but i tend to get all riled up after reading too much, lol...wow, i respect your candor...u are one of very few who will attest to/admit being dependent on your medication, awesome...i would be a big fat liar if i said i wasn't dependent on suboxone! from what i am hearing, getting off of it is going to be a chapter from the book of HELL...i imagine it's true as i thought last november i could go off of it...didn't consider half life...i was fine as frog hair on day 3 and when i woke up on day 4 of no suboxone, you'd have thought the world was coming to an end...mentally was pretty bad, but wow the physical symptoms, just nasty and wouldn't wish on anyone...i read so much about what to do, and truthfully i don't know that my sub doctor would be of much help because he hasn't lived the experience...i need to read about what others have done...
i do not know what your situation is to warrant taking pain meds but im sure it's legit and wonder if u get scared about tolerance? i prayyyyyyy to keep my health and have my body be good to me...it's very hard to have to settle for OTC pain meds when u have had a history with Rx pain meds...again my apologies....good luck to u and i hope u don't encounter any of the stressful stuff these other folks are dealing with in order to just feel ok....
