Lyrica Lawsuit (Page 12)

Does anyone know if there is an ongoing lawsuit against the company who puts out Lyrica? I am a mess from it. Do we have a leg to stand on when it comes to the side effects they found out from people like us? I am a long termer. I have been taking 900 mg since 2005. Is there anyone representing us? Thank you

@wdFarris, I'm so sorry to hear of your mother passing. I also lost mine this past year & it has been a tough year. My hearleft condolences. As far as Lyrica goes, you certainly have a case!

I got a letter from the ill-reputed attormey in my last post & they recommended that I file ASAP! Without help from them obviously! How the heck do I do that on my own? My time is running out since I realized Lyrica was the issue last Feb/March & in IL we have only a year to file. Has anyone filed their own case?

Right now I feel like I have been raped by a drug - raped of my life - my quality and maybe now my quantity. HAS ANYONE WHO HAS TAKEN LYRICA HAD AN MRI AND IF YOU HAVE DO YOU HAVE LESIONS ON YOUR BRAIN? I have been called crazy by nerologists because since Feb when I stopped taking Lyrica because of all the horrendous side effects I began to have what appeared to be MS episodes and still have them but guess what my lesions and symptoms are not a-typical of MS my pain stems from RA and/or Lupus but now I have these nice 20+ lesions on my brain - they don't change but neither do the episodes but it's not MS according to Neuro. PLEASE SHARE WITH ME IF YOU HAVE HAD AN MRI AND FOUND LESIONS SINCE TAKING LYRICA - God someone needs to sue this company and I know I will be if I find out the lesions are from LYRICA.

I'm moving to Seattle in a week and I have an acquaintance who owns a court reporting firm, who probably knows every attorney in Seattle. I need to talk to her. If there's anyone who will take me on as an individual case, she may know who it is. If there's someone who'll help me, they may be able to refer to associates in other states. I don't know. Is there anyone else on this board who lives in Washington State?

I'm so tired of this hopeless feeling. Moving is a monumental task, as I'm sure you can all imagine. I live in a studio apartment but there's so much packing to do because I'm a crafter, so it seems like I have a thousand small plastic storage boxes full of supplies to pack.

If anyone is in Canada just an FYI that I did finally find a lawyer that is looking into Lyrica. They said they will get back to me and let me know if they will be doing anything.
My fingers (and toes) are crossed. Is there anyone else in Canada that had problems with the Lyrica?

I only tool lyrica for about 4weeks or so, but in this time I started to just fall over, the doctor said I just needed to get use to the medicane. Then went to see my daughter
in another state and woke up a week later in the hospital.
I had been out for 6 to seven days , in this time had aleast 7 or more seizures . and my eye sight is bad
I had just got new glass about a week earlier. now I need new one because I can't see thru these at all
and my eyes just keep getting worse, Plus I had never had seizure before this , and now I am so scarred of having another one I still have moments were I just about fall over. I have had all kinds of test on me and
they said all they can is it must of been the Lyrica. And
health just keeps getting worse. Just being on the Lyrica
for short of time has totaly messed me up. I just went
to the Dr. for headaces and he said here try this. It well help your headace.. I now have to see a spealist all the time. Is there a lawsuite going on. On this .. Somthing sure needs to be done It has messed up my life.

hi everyone.. i am in total shock,, i have been on lyrica since 9-2009. i also take trazadone and percacete, i was hurt at work and was diagnosed with RSD. i was taking loratabs instead of percacete, so now i belive my issues are from the lyrica... i have blurry vision, i have not attempted sucide, but i have been very close, just today when i came across this site i was looking up how to od on these meds i am on,,, the lyrica does help with my pain but, it never goes away,, my ,"workmans comp dr " now says i only have un identified pain, and nothing he can do for me but keep me on the meds.. so now,, 5 days b4 rent is due, i find out that i will not have the money to pay it... ,,, so in the mean time,, i cant consintrate , i cant sleep, unless i take full 2 pills of trazadone. the suicide thoughts are almost un-stoppable,, also when i lay dow, i cant focuse my eyes on anything,, i have constant ringing in my ears, and the headaches come and go,, i had no clue what was going on,, all my meds says thoughts of sucide is a side effect... can anyone tell me if this is what is going on due to lyrica?

I was diagnosed with fybromyalgia in 2007 due to un known joint pain cause In which I was not accepting?. Dr prescribed Lyrica and pain meds and told me to take lots of Vit D. I started Lyrica at 150mg daily to 300mg. I didn't notice any improvement but still continued to take per doctors orders. I did inform about my vision going bad and that I required a larger font on my work computer and eventually a larger monitor, plus the increase in frequency of flare ups, he continued to prescribe the Lyrica and increased pain med dose. I finally got tired of being in pain all the time, and the doctor just choosing to increase pain meds and told him I wasn't going to take the Lyrica anymore and that I didn't really feel I had this fybromyalgia, and to revisit ms. Nothing has been done. I am still in constant pain (like a body toothache) and am debilitated by the constant shards of glass/burning feeling in my feet and my knees radiate with pain 80. Had a vision check up a year ago and my vision worsened. Feel like now I need new glasses. I have to take them of to read now. Not sure if these symptoms having anything to do with taking Lyrica unnecessarily? Please someone advise

Everyone- Don't forget we have a Lyrica Survivors page on Facebook, so you may find additional info there. Kelly, Dee, Zepha, I am just another person who has suffered serious side effect from Lyrica but I have heard all of your sympltoms described by others. I can't fathom WHY a doctor would prescribe this drug for a headache. The drug is being grossly misused & is extremely dangerous. People have died, lost their eyesight, teeth, ability to think & write clearly even after being off the drugs for months. Please avoid this drug if you can. If your Dr. refuses to take you off it, that is not legal. Find another Dr. & see about a malpractice suit. We have been tring to find a Dr. to take on a lawsuit for about a year now. The higher the dose, the worse the symptoms. And withdrawal is excruciating & must be done slowly. Please post any other questions you have or check out our FB page called, "Lyrica Survivors".

Dee, I am Lyrica now, And I am see a wonderful Dr.
that care's he has helped me alot. I"m still have only abotut a week of good days and then in bed for about a week. But I just about talk to my Dr. everyday . It don't mater how late if I am feeling bad I call Him. I don't know
what I would have done if I had not found him..Suicide and so think I still have side affects of lyrica. And my eyes. just keep getting worst. And I'm have to get new glasses. I'm upset that Dr. put you on this stuff now what it can do . But most of all at the people who has
made it.

@Kelly - if you can find my earlier post - i have since been diagnosed with Lupus - peculiarly I have lesions on my brain - at first they explored MS - but have finally found a RA/Lupus doc who confirmed Lupus on Jan 31 - my post should be around that date - do you have lesions on your brain? The neuro doc says it's not MS - says its not lupus (wrong) - total waist of my time to visit 3 of them to be told I was neuropsychotic but thankful now I have found out what has been wrong with me for most of my life - I am strongly convinced that lyrica caused the lesions as my RA/Lupus doc does not believe this is a Lupus related problem - I have had all the symptoms you have had and more and I have been off of Lyrica since Feb 2010 (3rd attempt by docs to blame the imaginary disease Fibro and feed me with drugs that are letal - Savella is not a good drug either so don't let them fool you with that one too..Please advise via email if you have lesions I would love to hear from any who have developed these issues you can contact me through my website or email kristytallman dot com and kristy at kristytallman dot com - SOMEONE NEEDS TO STAND UP FOR US THIS IS SO UNREAL - also I have started a live blog on my website where I will be posting Living Positive With Lupus - and I do encourage that you visit the facebook site Survivors of Lyrica - she's really trying to do a wonderful thing here and the more awareness we get out there the more lives we can save along with hopefully getting the Lawyers to stand up and take notice and fight this big pharmaceutical company - I'm beginning to believe they are all being paid to stay away from helping us - there's got to be a Lawyer out there with balls somewhere!!

My Dr. tried to prescribe Lyrica for me, and I refused after reading the horror stories. I started taking Hemp Hearts, you get them in the Health Food Store, and I have greatly improved, natural's the only way to go, I refuse to poison myself with chemicals from drug companies.

I have been on Lyrica, gabipintin and efferor. I had amnesia since thursday afternoon. I have had migraines and took imitrix. I drove and had conversations I don't even remember. I stopped all of it except the effexor and feel like hell. I started coming around yesterday, monday. None of my dr.s will do anything! Am I going to die or what?

@kristytallman. To answer your question, When I had a MRI done on my brain they didnt see any lesion's. I have sever spinal stenosis and suppose to have chronic plantar facitis and fybromyalgia? Not really sure what to believe I have anymore. Just very frustrated due to the daily pain (level 6-8) I choose to treat with advil most of the time. I am very sensitive to pain meds so they just make me worse. The doctor gave me a medical marijuana recommendation he said since the lyrica isnt working. he said that the mmj should provide a better quality of life? Not really. I am still in pain, not as often as before but still the level hasnt changed. Also I feel guilty using mmj. I have been raised and I have raised my children to believe it to be an illegal substance so I feel guilty using it and pretty much stay in my house when I do use. But I haven't used the lyrica since 11/09. I will get another MRI done within the next month and will update you on the results. Best to you from Same boat.

That happened to me when I was on Ambien & Lyrica. I called people then had dreamlike memories about it the next day. I called a couple & sure enough what I sid went waaaay beyond drunk dialing!! I had also gone to the store, had my hair done & eating weird food combinations. All while "sleep walking". I have never slept walked in my life before this. Thank God no one was hurt! This problem could sten from one or a combination of drugs. I would look up all your drugs side effects & see if it lists that as an option. Good luck, but for your own safety check it asap & hide your keys & phone from yourself at night!

My son has had all of his beautiful teeth ruined by this medication, not to mention the expense. We have run out of money and his mouth is a mess, and it is completely due to Lyrica. Many bad side effects. What can we do?

What are you taking the hemp hearts for? Is it for your
headace's , I have told my Dr. no more meds. I'm done
nothing they are doing for me is helping just making me where I'm drug up but still in pain..And I have no Ins.just for a 10day supply is 1000.00 dollars, and Im still in pain were im in bed (no thanks) let me know what the hemp heart is for asp. thanks

I have had the same thing happen to my once near perfect teeth. It took me 2 years, 2 dentists, an oral surgeaon & enormous amounts of money to get just the cavities fixed. Not to mention the TMJ problems - $$$$ there too. I still find pieces of my teeth coming off even when I'm not eating anything, I've had 2 pulled & am considering having the rest pulled, & getting dentures. What else can I do since I certainly can't afford implants & several people say their teeth have crumbled from inside even though there's no external warning signs. So veneers (again prohibitively expensive) wouldn't solve the problem either. My only advice is to find a compassionate dentist who will allow you to make payments. I wish there was more I could offer! I shudder to think of explaining to someone I'm newly dating that I have no teeth, but I don't see another option. Post here when it gets too much or on Lyrica Survivors on FB. At least there are people who know what you're going through, your child DOES actually brush his teeth, & you are not crazy!

I Was just down in Los Angadones, Mexico this week and I was in some of the pharmacies there, I glanced behind the counter at the first one I was in and I had the most sickening feeling when I saw many many boxes of Lyrica...I told the guy what those awful meds have done to me and thousands of others and I can't believe that anyone can just buy them without a Dr and no warnings of what this drug can and probably will do to them, Ijust had the sickest feeling in my gut all day knowing that they were there. Good thing though, I had a porclain cap made a filling done and teeth cleaned all for $160.00. would have cost me a thousand dollars here. I am going back to have bridges made for my six missing teeth due to lyrica and it is only going to cost around 1500.00 for all of it compared to several thousand here. SO if anyone needs extensive work done and can get down there, it is well worth it. Good luck .

Amy,,I spelled it wrong. It is Los Algadones, Mexico. It is the safest border town I have ever been to. It is all retired americans that are there. I went to Marys Dental Clinic on A St. Spent the whole day checking Dentists and prices and I was very happy with her and her work.
