I see so many people with the same fears I have had in the past and still do. I am a P.A. And also a chronic pain sufferer. I have been on meds for 8 years and have the hardest times getting legal prescriptions filled. I actually derided twice myself with proper use of needed meds with no side effects. The only problem I had was extreme pain and ended up in the hospital after I got off meds due to NSAID use and other problems to the point where I was told to go back on opiates. I can help with withdrawal issues. I know little things that will have u off opiates in 4 days, but then u what about the pain u were taking opioda for in the first place? None the less, no one should suffer. I have a great Pain Management doctor in Brooklyn. I know of a great doctor that will prescribe methadone or subuxin if needed. I know what it is to be in pain and worrying about have scripts filled and withdrawing, something I wish n no man. So I am willing to help with support and advice. Reach out to me if help needed. Hey I saw your post about the suboxone and methadone I have been on sub but was in a serious car accident and they want to do neck/almost brain surgery they issues are all in the upper neck I just want to be put on methadone to stop the pain and these drs see bupe they want to run away let alone not rx any others meds petty much any thing I even had the director of the suboxone place let them contact each other the sub Dr agrees I should try the m done but I can't find any Dr willing to try to switch or recomend something I can take. if I take suboxone everyday and get sick without it there is no difference. I was put on burp after no fault insurance cut off the Norco and other pain meds I didn't even ask for burp the Dr told me I wouldn't be sick anymore. I went for it and now I ruined any chance of living without pain and anxiety everyday is hell. And they even know when it gets bad enough I end up in a phyc place locked in because it's been bad enough I thought I would be better not feeling any thing any more.

I am a 49 year old man who suffers from an extreme lower back spine injury. In 1996, I was hit by a car on my motorcycle in Clearwater, Fl. When the car hit, my bike went down and the car went up over top of me. I was unconscious and life flighted to the local trauma unit in St Petersburg. Now, I live in Suffolk County, NY and still have the spine pain. I have had doctors who have given me narcotics and after a while, when I seen I was getting immune to it, I asked for something different. Through all the years, I have tried to stay off heavy narcs because I didn't want to live a life of being dependent on meds. The problem is, now they have me on Suboxone which does nothing for the pain but keeps me from going into withdrawals. My insurance just sent a letter telling me that they will no longer cover the Suboxone for pain. I need a doctor that will prescribe pain meds again. I have had several MRIs showing the damage, and have had several epidural shots to the spine which helps a bit but doesn't really do much when the pain really flares up. I cannot even wash dishes without pain. I cannot do anything without pain and I really need a doctor that will understand this. I am not an addict. I take no meds other than what is prescribed and I take them as prescribed. The doctor I have now treats patients very bad. I called to talk to someone about this letter and the put me on hold then after 15 minutes of silence, I hung up and called back and they were closed. They didn't even come back on and say, we're sorry, we're closing now. If there is a doctor reading this in my area or if someone knows a doctor in my area that will actually try to help me, please let me know. I am in the Bay Shore area. Thank you.

Idc about anyone on hear cause everyone's a skin the same f'on questions over nd over and Noone helps, but you sound like you're suffering as bad as I still am, due to lack of money for expensive self pay only. but have a doc who will write any pain pill u want in north jersey. $500 initial $175 required monthly follow ups. If u can't cover than there's no point in dropping a name and losing my source

Hello Tristan, my name is Lisa and I have very similar issues as you do. I have been with the same dr for 8 years and have been prescribed methadone for the whole 8 years. I have been seeing the p.a and she has been writing them also, until last week I got a call saying I'm cut just like that, the p.a has been helping me find a new dr. She agrees that it's a great med and has a bad rep, I also have diabetes and it does not affect sugar at all I'm desperate to find a new dr. I'm so afraid of the withdrawal, with my diabetes I can get very ill. The dr. cut everyone he had on methadone because another dr in the area got arrested. I'm a good patient that follows all the rules but it was the only med that really works, I don't even feel like I'm on anything, I can function fine, please if you can help me with the drs info I would greatly appreciate it. Ive been on an opiate for the last 9 yrs due to migraines, along with being put on disability. Ive had the same neurologist for all that time, A month or so ago he cut me off and told me that he couldn't fill the scripts anymore due to some of his patients abusing the pills, he gave me a one month supply and that was that. I need my pills and im in a lot of pain, not sure what to do or where to turn thx

I think pain sufferers need to pull together. This nonsense with the govt putting so much restrictions on medicine is out of hand. We can share pain doctors that are still prescribing. But most importantly we need to advocate. Let me know if you are interested in becoming an advocate. It should take me about a month to get the information up but I am going to begin with Long Island and spread put nationally. We have a war on pain to fight! With 100 million Americans suffering with chronic pain and the massive decrease of me necessary pain medicine we have an epidemic! My main goal is to convince the governor that this is am epidemic!
