Hydrocodone 5 325 3604 & 5 325 3202 (watson) (Top voted first)

Updated

Am having knee replacements soon, had RNY so can't take any anti-inflammatories. Have been taking 1/2 of a 5-325 for pain made by Qualitest & have a V on one side & 3604 on other. Tablets are scored so can break easily. No problem with stomach. Latest Rx are same color but say Watson on one side and 3202 on other side and, though they are scored to break in half, are really hard to break..sometimes breaking into several pieces. Also, have had ulcer and stomach really burns, especially when I break the tablet into two parts. Could it be the fillers?

Yes, there could be a filler that's causing more stomach acid. Have you talked to your doctor about possibly taking them with an antacid?

As to breaking them, it would be much easier if you got a pill cutter, they are available in most stores and are relatively inexpensive.

This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Is there anything else I can help with?

Have you shown them to the pharmacy where you purchased them? Not that it would do you much good because you are supposed to check your meds before you sign for them? If they don't look normal and are not labeled as being from another manufacturer, it's their fault but you cannot take them back. These are carefully monitored so I would take my bottle back and ask questions and I certainly would call my MD and let him/her know too. If you just barely got them, they can tell how many are gone from which jar. Otherwise, you are stuck. Why are you asking here instead of at the pharmacy where you bought them?
