I have taken 35mg of methadone today, and i have a urine drung test coming up, how long will it take to get out of my urine?

im a diable male at 48 and i've been tryin to get a new doc. for awhile. finally get one for mon. but up until now i have been n lots of pain and i have took a 10mg of methadone just to ease pain. so on 10 mg will it be out by monday. took it early friday morning be 3 full days

I was taking 100 mg of methadone/day for 10 years and recently i decided to give the suboxone treatment a whirl. The dr. told me to not take the methadone 3 days prior to my first visit, so i did. He put me on 3 /day and said to come back in two weeks for my next script and urine test as well. EIGHTEEN days after my last dose of methadone the dr told me i wasnt doing as i should. I asked him wtf he was talking about and he said i was still taking the methadone. I was outraged. anyone ever heard of methadone staying in your system that long

i took 4mg of methadone yesterday morning arond 7am it will be exactly 36hrs till i get to see the suboxone dr,will the methadone still me be in my system by 7pm tonight?

yes, that sounds about right. methadone stays in your system a long time, and the higher the dose you take, and longer you take it, the longer it stays. it has a half life of 15-60 hours which means, at 100mg dose, after 15-60 hours, half of that is left in your system, (50mg) after another 15-60 hours, it gets cut in half again, (25mg) and so on, every half life that passes half of the drug is eliminated, meaning the higher the dose you take, the longer is stays. for you being on a constant daily dose of 100mg everyday, since youre dosing more often than it takes for the previous day's dose to be eliminated, your blood levels are probably between 150-200mg, which is why you still had methadone in your system after 18 days.

this is to the guy who is seeing a doc on monday, drink lots of water , soda, tea anything as long as u pee a lot and when your pee is clear not yellow then you will test clean trust me i know i almost got cut off because i drink a lot and i needed to have methadone, moephine ect in my system, but because i drink a lot of water and diet mt dew i had nothing in my system the only way i kept from getting cut off i begged for a blood test, so trust me drink til you pee clear....

Depending the amount you take and how many times you take it, Methadone can stay in your system for up to 7 days.

This is absolutely correct. I was on methadone for about 8 years. At the highest dose, I was on up to 30 10mg pills a day, which is an EXTREMELY high dose. I had another surgery about 4 months ago and the Anesthesiologist told my wife that he had to give me so much medicine to get me comfortable that if I kept down that path, I would not live 5 more years. I am 34 and have 2 young boys and am happily married. My wife told me what he said a couple days later. I immediately dropped 100MG/day then 10 days later i dropped 50 more MG/day, this had me at 150MG/day or 15 10mg pills. Then every 5 days I dropped 30MG until I was down to nothing. I did have Xanax to take to help, which it did very little. I would not recommend detoxing the way I did, it was pure hell. I cannot exress with words the hell I went through. Luckily I was off from work for 2 months due to my back surgery, so I had the time to do this without affecting my job. It was hard on my body and I am still feeling the effects. It has been two months since I've taken Methadone and I will never ever take it again. I hope my advise can help someone or give some of you a glimmer of hope that it is possible. It is not easy, and will be the hardest thing you've done in your life, I guarantee you that! THanks for listening.

My husband who has severe injuries. And had his spinal cord BURNED by a surgeonn during surgery (a Quack!). He will be on Oxycontin the rest of his life! Because of nerve damage this doctor caused my husband, he knocked over his medication into the toliet!!! Going into detox, someone gave him a few (10?) methadone pills 10mg. Which he took. Two months later, he has a drug test from his doctor, AND THE METH SHOWS UP!!! I know nothing about this drug, but I do know he showed positive for it nearly 60 days later! My husband is 6'1"ft.-150lbs-barely walks and cannot excercise. Beware!

methadone wd is way worse than dope pills anything ever i was taking 120mg a day from clinic for opiate wd got in a car wreck broke my vertabrae was on perc 10s stoppd the methadone was taking 6 10,s a day and still felt sick 4 2 weeks or more it was hell. i have quit heroin cold turkey b4 and it was not near as bad.

I took about 40 mg of methadone on Jan 4th or so, I was tested a few days later and tested positive by drs. office. On Feb.12th 11 I had to take another test and come back today March 1st and was told that the Methadone was still in my system and was accused of taking more. I had to do another UA today , no news on this but in that month it dropped 30 points. ..Good Luck to you!

I am in drug court and get drug screened monday and fridays. After probation this friday i had 60mg of liquid methadone my roomate gave me burning hole in pocket. I made the poor choice of taking a teaspoon of it, roughly 10mg. Now I'm worried about my monday screen. It isn't much I took and I dont even really feel
it. My question is can I get it out of my system by then? I piss all the time and plan on working out at least twice before then. I have to worry about diluted screens too. Would drinking water, working out, taking vitimans and creatine save my ass? Anyone, had any expeirence with getting small doses of methadone out of system in about two days? Please any advice really appreciated!! "The system has failed"

they say between 3-5 days and thats depending on your metabolism i have a slow metabolism with benzo's it took just over 4 weeks for my drug screen to be free of benzo's where as other ppl i know have been clean from them after 2 weeks. everyones different. iv also had drug tests done and just used heroin before i went to the test and its came back 'negative'??? even my key worker couldnt beleive it. some of the tests they use are pure crap.

Methadone can stay in your system for a very long time. It is stored in your liver and fat cells. You could test positive for well over two months. I suggest you find a doctor who knows what they are doing and tell him to read up on methadone. Methadone is the hardest drug to detox from because it stays in your body for so long. You can have withdrawl symptoms for up to a year if you have been a long time user. I have been on it for 7 years now and dropped from 120mg. to 40 mg. a day. It took a year to drop down that far and I still had withdrawl symptoms every time I was lowered. My suggestion is to find a qualified dr. because most opiates with be out of your system in 7 to 15 days were as methadone will not
