I have taken 35mg of methadone today, and i have a urine drung test coming up, how long will it take to get out of my urine?

Not true they can test for quantitative.If you take your pills monthly, at say 4 to 5 pills a day..If you go see your Doc. the following month they can tell whether or not your quanity levels are were they should be for that amount of pills..

I don't get Ur question Tammy, if you have never taken Methadone before, and need to go take a DT then why would u think or ask if it will be in Ur UA?

I've been on methadone for 2 years now, give or take a couple of months. I was up to 160 mg a day. I'm currently down to 20.5 mg a day. Even though I'm down so low, I drop 5 mg and I figured its only 5 mg shouldn't realm feel too bad but as soon as I hit the 4 1/2 you mark, out of the blue I almost instantly get this horrible worst I've ever had anxiety attack. My family says its in my head blah blah blah but ill be just sitting there not even thinking about it, watching tv or playing with my daughter and bam it hits me. Its 100% not self induced. Now I should mention that I was down to 4 pills a day then I waited for a day and a half before I dosed and then only took 2 1/2 pills for the next week. Every night at the same time this anxiety would hit. it had gotten a little better each day though. Around the 9th day I was comfortable with the 2 1/2 pills a day.(10mgs each) so even though I'm at a very low dose, is it from having such a high build up of it in my body from taking it over the past few years? I thought maybe now I could just drop it to nothing being I'm so low but even a .5 drop sends me into an anxiety attack. I'm 35 years old, I lost my medical insurance this year, I'm so ready to get off it but I'm afraid something is going to happen. My Dr told me once that my body is very sensitive to medication and drops in levels of medication. All not just the methadone and that I am still rather young but still at risk for stroke and or heart attack if I don't do it carefully. Well I'm stuck with no means of insurance not alot of money and very few pills to ration and wing off. I'm someone who's been through many things. I've fought in wars and I'm not in great shape do to injuries but I'm no wuss but I'm scared of this and how I makes my body react with such a low drop. I've been in crazy situations and never does my heart or has it ever beaten as hard and as fast as it does during this drop. If anyone can tell me the hows, why's and what's I would greatly appreciate it. I've read all the Dr and medical information but nothing that explains it to myself or to anyone else who needs just plain answers from for a normal person to a normal person, does that make sense? Well thank you for time and like I said any information and or help will be greatly appreciated. I just want to live through this, for my daughter and hopefully later on will be an advocate to others as well. Thank you

Thats not even possible and complete BS after 60 days if he was positive after 60 days for methadone he was still using it with or without your knowledge but 60 days from 10mg,not hardly.

I just had the same exact experience with my doctor. I hadn't taken methadone almost a month and it was still in my system according to the drug test. I was pretty surprised... Doctor not so much.

Absolutely- I'm an RN- methadone can remain in your system up to 60 days even in urine. Especially if you were on large doses.
It's a tricky opioid when it comes to drug testing

Methadone comes up as methadone, oxycodone comes up as oxycodone, heroin comes up as heroin. Codeine comes up as an opiate. So be careful because I just took heroin and I tested positive for 4 different other narcotics.

I had taken 40mg of methdadone on June 20th. I woke up july1st unable to feel my legs and was admitted into the hospital and of course they run tox screens daily to see if something comes up that could be the reason. As of July 12 it was still in my systen. The drug is designed to break down very slowly. Plus, my pharmacology class said 2-4 weeks

Talk to your doctor about a new medication that came out recently; it's called hysingla er. It comes in 20,30,40,60,80 & I think either 100 or 120 mg pills. its completely abuse deterrent but it does work. it's hydrocodone er. it's supposed to last 24 hours. some people said it lasts 15 but that might just mean you need to titrate the dose up. I suggest trying that and regular vicodin for break through hysingla er will take a few days to build up in your system, but taking that with vicodin for break through will work out. worked for me and I have been on every medicine there is. you will need a prior authorization for it but trust me it's your best bet. tell me more about your tolerance and history with pain meds and I'll tell you what my doctor said to me. {edited for privacy}. Methadone made me sleepy. I fell asleep. as I tried to wake up I could not. at the same time I was trying to ask someone for help. I was conscious in my sleep. however I felt my heart slow in my sleep once again. as crazy as it sounds my body did something strange. I felt like I was shorting out of electricity. I was dying. there is no white light. you simply run out of electricity. thats how close death was. I know now how one day I will feel when I leave here.its very real and scary. you actually short out. I only had within 24 hrs taken seven or six 10 mg pills. I thought well I have a high tolerance for opioids so this methadone ahh no worries. BULLS*** THIS KILLS PEOPLE. I PRAY THIS SAVES SOMEONE. AS I WALKED THE LINE OF LIFE AND DEATH. YOU DONT NEED TO! CONSIDER TAKING CLONIDINE CATAPRESS INSTEAD AND GET INFO ON THAT FIRST FROM REHAB DOCTORS. I LOVE EVERY HUMAN ON EARTH. THATS WHY I AM TELLING YOU ALL. AND BENZOS AND OPIOIDS DO THE SAME THING....IF YOU NEED HELP AND YOU FEAR WITHDRAWALS GO TO E.R HOSPITAL. BY LAW THEY HAVE TO HELP YOU.

There is no possible way that 40 mg. Of methadone stayed in your system for two months after last dosage. The half life of that amount, even at the higher end of the scale, would be at most 27 days. If you are being honest, please take no offense seeing how we don't know each other. Or your Dr office does not want to give u what your asking for.

It will take you several weeks before any other medication will have any effect on you. One of the purposes of methadone is to block the sensors in your brain from enjoying heroin and the only problem with this is that it does the same with any other pain medication. I would say you will go through probably about 3 weeks worth of withdrawals before any pain medication will do you any good! Sorry, I know that's not what you wanted to hear but it's the truth!
