Klonopin takes roughly 60-90 minutes to fully kick in, valium is half that. Hydrocodone is a painkiller. For casual use, klonopin will take about an hour to kick in, and lasts about 6 hours, valium will take about 30 minutes to kick in, and lasts much longer but it contains a very strong muscle-relaxant effect along with it, klonopin does not have that same effect, and valium has a gradual comedown of multiple days rather than a single day comedown. Hydrocodone will also hit fairly quick, but last only 4 hours then disappears very quickly, similar to xanax but acting on different parts of your brain and causing a different feeling. If you want to take drugs for fun, dont break the law. And dont do any benzos, valium xanax or klonopin. They can, and do, kill people just with the withdrawals over prolonged use. They are literally the longest, most painful medicines to detox from, and one of the very very few that can actually kill you. Do not mess with them. You can die if you stop after a year of taking both, but the benzos dont stop, they cause years long withdrawal. If you want to be irresponsible, with a pill, dont touch those. Follow the law, do not break it. If you have a medical concern seek a doctor.

Hello, Phyllis! How are you?

Hydrocodone is an opiate, so it cannot be compared to the other two medications that you mentioned. The FDA classifies it as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

However, Klonopin and Valium are both benzodiazepines and generally are comparable in efficacy and they treat the same conditions, but the dosage is different. The FDA also warns that they carry the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability.

It usually takes about 15 to 20 minutes for them to start working.

Is there anything else I can help with?
