Can You Swallow A Subutex

My boyfriend swallowed half of an 8mg subutex pill thinking you take it like a normal pill. What should I have him do? Should I give him the other half and have it dissolve under his tongue this time or should I only give him 1/4 to dissolve or do I not give him anymore yet.

There is no harm in swallowing it, it just takes a little longer to start working that way than it does if you allow it to dissolve under your tongue, so there's nothing to worry about.

The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

He is 100% correct. It's Suboxone or anything with naloxone in it that could make you pretty uncomfortable. But subutex, you're fine. You just won't get as much bang for your buck on that pill. But just be sure it is ONLY bupenorphrine or subutex, same thing. Not, something with naloxone in it.
