Alvogen Brand

Today I got my Endocet 10/325 filled and for the first time given the Alvogen brand. WORST generic of this medication I've EVER taken. This company needs to be checked out. I have read where companies have a scale for the active ingredient and it can range from 85 to 100% on the active. I don't think this brand has even 50%! Have taken Endocet brand for 2 years for sciatica with great results. With this generic brand I received today, is going to make for a long month till next office visit. Is there anything I can do since I already purchased these and they aren't giving me the same relief??

The amount allowable for fluctuation in the active ingredients is actually plus or minus 20% and that actually doesn't add up to a significant difference.

As to anything you can do, the only thing I can suggest is contacted your doctor to let them know about the problem. They may be able to prescribe something else to help.

This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

I have been taking the dndocet made by alvogen post op. Thought I was crazy. They don't work at all. My recovery I'd not going as planned, since I don't have the needed pain relief. Will never get them again.

I was also given these for the first time. I had withdrawl type symptoms first week of it. I will not go back to that pharmacy again. Something is definately not right with these pills.

Me too, withdrawals immediately. AND the sad thing is that is that I have been on the ALV 10/325 Oxycodone for the past 4 months. Month #1 & #3 were okay, with month #3 being the best for pain relief. Month #2 I could hardly get out of bed, (I am disabled with Stage 3 & 4 RSD & Advanced Degenerative Arthritis,) & my stomach was tore up for 3 weeks & I found out at my next Doctor"s Visit that the medicine made me lose 16 pounds. Well here we are at month # 4 & I know there is not any thebaine in this product. That is the opium derivative derived from poppy seeds that is required to be an ingredient for the definition to be called oxycodone. Well we are dealing with Label Fraud here. Product Misrepresentation also. I am going to send samples of mine off to a Compound Analyzing Lab to PROVE IT!! I also would recommend filing a complaint with The FDA even though they approved in January 2015 for non opium BioSimilars can be sold under the oxycodone name which I do not believe is legal as the definition for oxycodone states it must contain thebaine, a derivative from opium. Litigation in most Southern States are rolling strong. I am looking for a case myself. I have never had over 6 months of consistent pain relief in 15 years of horrible suffering.......I have typed & posted at least 10 helpful, truthful & honest Replies concerning pain & this medication along with the names of 5 other companies that have sorry pain products or have purchased a quality generic, reformulated & ruined the product within 2 years of purchase to total ineffectiveness (BOCA & Qualitest) while their quarterly profits are through the roof!! Mallinckrodt does not provide chronic pain relief for anyone in waiting room of my doctor's office including myself. Only trying to help here. And to help each other. I called the FDA AT: 888-INFO-FDA & asked them to please send me some Complaint Forms. No company has the right to make us suffer & lying to us knowing they are shipping out BioSimilars and not a semisynthetic BioLogic. They need to stop committing Label/Product Fraud & Misrepresentation. Good Luck fellow Victims. Look for BioSimilar legal cases & I hope we do not have heart attacks & strokes waiting to honestly being taken care of. I have had 1 stroke already. Lost 30/40 % of my eyesight already due to undermedication & receiving shoddy pain products. It sucks Big Time!!!
