Can You Take Benzos While You're On Suboxone? (Page 4)

I've been seeing a lot of posts regarding taking benzos while on Suboxone. It is ok to take a benzo w/ suboxone - as long as you're taking the prescribed dosages you'll be fine. Now if you're taking 3 or 4 8mgs of Suboxone and say 5 or 6 Xanax that's not good, that's where the reported deaths have come from. I've been on Subs for 5 yrs. I've also been subscribed klonopin and am currently taking valium w/ it and it's fine. I'm on a low dose and only take what I am prescribed.

I JUST WAS READING THIS AND UR WRONG WAY WRONG ABOUT TAKING A NERVE PILL WITH SUBOXONE!!! WRONG I SAY IT AGAIN, YOU CANNOT TAKE THAT WITH SUBOXONE I CALLED THE PHARMACY :( THEY ADVISED ME NOT I REPEAT NOT TO TAKE A NERVE PILL WITH SUBOXONE!! PLEASE PEOPLE DON'T TAKE THESE PEOPLE'S ADVICE AT ALL JUST MAKE A QUICK PHONE CALL TO THE PHARMACY AND ASK THEM IF IT WOULD BE OK!!! PLEASE EVERYONE THIS IS REALLY LIFE OR DEATH.. GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU AND I PRAY FOR EVERYONE THAT IS IN NEED OF HELP AND OF COURSE ANSWERS OUT HERE

GO TO SUBOXONE.COM YOU WILL GET HELP FINDING A DOCTOR THERE OR A CLINIC OF SOME SORT. I CALLED TODAY FOR MY MOTHER THEY ARE VERY HELPFUL... GOOD LUCK

You surely have a major drug problem and you need to be reported. No doctor would prescribe all that you say you are taking. Unless you are doctor shopping. It's no wonder your name is dumber---------- because you would have to be dumb to take all of those drugs together. You just want to get high, no better you want to DIE, keep doing what you are doing and you will die. Smarter thanyou.

I take. I love to mix the subutex not soboxen I hate soboxen it gives me migraines. But I wanted to know if i well my friend wanted to know if u could mix them in one or two rigs ans shoot them at the same time anyone know, and please don;t start u shouldnt do subs like thqt to get high but we are both better than we used to be we're not snorting or shooting 6 to 10 roxy 30s now plz no smart ass texts we know what we are doing to ourselfs we just would like advise so we don't kill our self's so please be nice and help us out so we don't OD thank you

Agreed, I've been on kpins 4 a day 1mlg for 3 years and subs 8mlg 3 times daily and now down to 2 depending on the day however i no longer feel the affect of my pins i could honestly take 60 @ once and feel nothing... time to say bye bye

Suboxone does help immediately with withdraw symptoms. The only problem with suboxone is if your on it for more the six months you will have withdraws from trying to get off of it. It is great and does help but try to only take it every other day or so and only a few months. The withdrawals from suboxone are terrible. Doctors say you don't get it but you do the longer your on it.

Ty for your advise....I am easily persuade into believeing sites like this n just random ppl.....maybe that's y I became a addict yrs lol .....back until I was blessed two weeks ago for suboxone..... A real dream n prayer came true....so Ty for some hard facts.... Cal the pharmacy quotes Ty love u may just have save some lives if they take heed to true advise when getting on this site....then trying to find the wrong answer n then praying they'd be ok .....no offense to others.....for myself I want to be better n want true facts even if its not what I wanna here at the time.....!!!!!!! HI everyone, Im new to this. I started taking soboxone today. I have 11 months clean. Unfortunately the cravings for opiates has been getting stronger and stronger. After talking it over with my husband we decided to take the soboxone instead of what I think would be a relaps in just a matter of time. I have worked so hard to get to where I am. He started me on 8mg 2 times a day. I cant believe how normal I feel again. Its amazing. Honestly, I don't care if I get addicted to this. Its prescribed by a doctor. Im not (in my sick head) trying to find a way to get pills. The looking, searching, spending money you don't have....ect... If this will help make my life "normal" again im ok with that. Im 41 years old. Im done with rehabs and putting my family through hell. Actually worse than hell. My hope is that this will be a place I can come to talk about my feelings. Get feed back from like minded people. The disease of addiction is cunning and powerful. I want control again. Thanks for listening...look forward to reading more posts.

that's awesome!! I hope it works the same for me. I started it today. 8mg twice a day. I was in pretty bad withdrawl when I saw the doctor today. But after getting the script and immediately taking it, within 10 minutes I was feeling normal again. I was 11 months clean when I relapsed a week ago. I realized I needed more help than just NA meetings, a sponsor and a supportive family. My sick brain wants that pill because it helps me forget about some horrible things I have gone through in my life. Im 41 and ready to just live life. If soboxone does that for me then I will take it the rest of my life. best wishes to you.

Yes indeed my friend, You and I are in the same boat. All of those opiates are lies from Hell and Satan laughed every time we would take one! SOB!!! God at the years wasted!!?? I is time now though for you and me to stop beating ourselves up. The pills did enough of that. I am on Suboxone and will stay on it for however long it takes to put that s@#$ behind me. WD's and ALL!! Others on this page were talking about, "Is it okay to take Valium while on Suboxone" They are just praying for ANYONE to say "sure, you will be fine" instead of the raw truth from their Drs.. That is nothing but a crutch and down deep, they know it. They are just in need of "justification". Valerian Root is great for anxiety and it is non addictive, plus it is OTC herbal medication. For the record, I (was) on 15 mg of Valium for 9 years. Take care my friend and may God give you with every tool to regain your life! The same applies to all!

I am a mom, for those who are honest to theirself, and really want to be drug free, Suboxane will work. It requires you to daily know that you are fighting yourself. My son is 27 years old, has been an opioids abuser and more for 7 years. He is on one 8mg twice a day, but he is not honest to himself, he smokes pot all night, he is vaping pot from 9 to 5 am. He abuses his suboxane and runs short for a week and I don't know what he uses at night, but the whole house smellls like medicine and we are inhaling it feeling drugged. Harms, ears hurt and get numb, we get this awful medice taste soar throat, problem he denies he is doing nothing he get very violent when I confronted about it. Does anybody knows what do you think he is vaping? I am so close to denied my help to him. I read done does crack cocaine with suboxane, can you vape that too? Please help, I read all this comments trying to help him and understand him.

Suboxone has changed my life 100%! I was BAD on pills! I have gotten my daughter back, full custody!! I know seveeral people whom Suboxone did the same for!! My problem is I have severe anxiety disorder and my doc is telling me that I have to choose between Suboxone and Xanax. I have been any all kinds of meds an I finallyfound something to, genuinely, help me and my doc doesn't like it! What do I do? I have 1 psych for my suboxone and 1 for other psych meds, by the request of my suboxone doc.

I'm on suboxone two years now, not for addiction but for spinal disease to help with pain. I was on both for a while. Is your doctor not wanting you on both because xanax is severly addicting medicine? Usually people who are on suboxone for addiction aren't allowed to be on other addicting medication. Or did he try to say it won't work while being on suboxone. If you can't find a solution, maybe a diff doctor who doesn't know your on subs, then I would try a different anxiety medication. There are many out there that will work. Will he let you on valium? It helps me with my anxiety. I switched from xanax to valium because xanax gave me headaches after a while. Hopefully you can find a primary who will prescribe xanax or your sub doctor can help you get on an anxiety med that he will allow with the subs. If he has you take drug test every month to make sure your not on stuff I don't know if xanax will show up and if he will get mad you went somewhere else. I absolutely wouldn't choose the xanax over subs. Before subs I wasnt able to walk from pain and I had no drive. Now I am back getting ready for graduate school and I'm able to live my life. Its great for addiction as well. Only problem is subs are addicting, very hard to get off. So its a win lose lol. But it really is a miracle drug. Not worth stopping just for xanax. I hope everything works out. I'm sorry your in this situation. I know how you feel. I have intense anxiety as well. It drives me crazy and keeps me up.

I am not a dr but i am being treated by an addiction specialist,i have been on suboxone for 2 yrs and i was also hooked on benzos,my dr got me off them by tapering me off slowly,so to answer your question,if they are prrscribed and you are taking the correct dosage its safe but i would check before ever mixing your meds,
