Is Tamol-xx 200mg (Tramadol Hcl) a long-acting drug? ## From what I can find, yes it is listed as being a time released formulation of Tramadol. Has this been prescribed for you? ## I'd like some clarity: Tamol XX tablets are white, whereas Tramadol X 200 mg tablets are pink coloured. Does anyone know why and what the different colours indicate? Maybe different applications? ## The only drug I take is Tamol-xx for pain. I had an emergency and while at the hospital I had lab work done and it came back positive for pcp. Why are these drugs manufactured using a street drug?

I have some tramadol pills for pain that expired last year 11/14 and I was wondering if I can use them for pain in my stomach that I have now? ## Hello, Punkin! How are you? It would actually be best to have yourself checked out and discover what is actually causing the stomach pain. While Tramadol may be a temporary relief of the pain, it won't fix an underlying issue that could be causing it, such as an ulcer or gastritis. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Can Tramadol raise blood pressure or lower blood pressure? ## I have tried tramadol a few times for pain relief and I can ...

I have been taking tramadol for about 8 years now. About 5 a day (50) mgs. Does anyone know if the withdrawals from tramadol would be better if I started taking paxil instead. I have never had a problem ordering tramadol online until now but I do have a Rx of paxil. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. ## Since you've been taking Tramadol for 8 years, your body has probably become largely dependent on it; so unless you've tapered off to some degree, it's very "likely" that physical withdrawal symptoms will occur. Protecting your emotions, feelings, & mental fortitude with antidepressants sounds like a good idea, but I'm not sure if it will prevent certain physical symptoms (including pain) or any other reactions from occurring unless they are...

I have spinal stenosis, arthritis and 2 herniated discs for which I have had surgery. My current pain med doc won't go any higher then 50mgs of tramadol 3 times a day and that is it. Nothing else prescribed. He says nothing else will help and just go have surgery. I am not looking to take 10 mg of MS or anything. I just need something to help when the pain gets too bad several times a week. The tramadol does not work anymore. Does anyone know of a place in Hampton Roads VA that will help? ## I do not know of a place there. However, if you are willing to drive to Richmond which is seventy miles away, I know a doctor who will treat you with proper medication (better than tramadol and less than MS). ## @Bamagirl -- I have your health ailments and A LOT more. This past Dec 2018, I made ...

I have a rheumatoid condition and am prescribed both Oxycodone and Tramadol. I alternate between them, not wishing to become addicted. What I'm unsure of is whether they are different enough chemically to prevent my body getting too used to either one. I also take a day off here and there, but I just feel very wary. I have to do pain management, but I just want to verify that taking Oxycodone one day and Tramadol the next doesn't strike my body chemically as being the same thing. Many thanks for any helpful response! (Cross-posted in oxycodone forum as well). ## From what I could gather, nih.gov classifies each drug under similar, but different drug categories: "Tramadol is in a class of medications called opiate agonists. It works by changing the way the body senses pain. O...

I have been taking Tramadol for almost 10 years in high doses 600 to 1000mg a day. I lead a productive life have a family but i know its time to stop. I cant even remember why I started taking Tramadol. I'm looking for any advice or experences amnyone else has had with withdrawing. ## Hello, DD! How are you? Since you've been taking doses that high, withdrawing could be dangerous and stopping it may be complicated, thus, it would really be best to get medical assistance doing so. The FDA lists the typical withdrawal effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, fatigue, diarrhea, fever, chills and seizures. Can anyone else chime in with their experiences? ## Yes, me to!! I take about the same amount or more a day. I have wanted to stop a bunch of times. I'm a middle aged ...

Flupirtine is a centrally acting, non-opioid analgesic that is available in a number of European countries for the treatment of a variety of pain states. The therapeutic benefits seen with flupirtine relate to its unique pharmacological properties. Flupirtine displays indirect NDMA receptor antagonism via activation of potassium channels and is the first representative of a pharmacological class denoted the ‘selective neuronal potassium channel openers’. The generation of the M-current is facilitated by flupirtine via the opening of neuronal Kv7 potassium channels. The opening of these channels inhibits exaggerated neuronal action potential generation and controls neuronal excitability. Neuronal hyperexcitability is a physiological component of many ...

My husband got my tramadol prescription via internet-a Canadian company. When shipment came, the pills did not look anything like what I have received before. These came as green capsules-50 mg called Tramapik. They apparently were mfg. in Jocund, India. So far, for years, I have only seen them in white oval and round tablets. Are there green tramadol tablets / are these safe to use? ## yes pllls from other countries are not always the same color as ours i get vicodan, and valium for india all the time does not look like ours but is the same it is just made in a different country ## Britt is correct. Once a pill is available for generic manufacture it is made by many different companies all over the world. They will all look different, possibly have different names, and have different i...

How many Tylenol 4 would I have to take to equal 400 Mgs of tramadol? I'm trying to keep the withdrawals at bay. Please help. ## Look I'm not a doctor but i do have a lot of experience with pain meds as I have been on narcotics for chronic pain since 2008. Even though tramadol is considered on the lower epsilon of narcotics I have a hard time with nausea and constipation if i mix acetaminophen with hydrocodone or percocet. Just trust your doctor and discuss it with your pharmacist. Unfortunately doctors don't always know everything you are taking and your pharmacist does. Also trust what your body tells you. Personally i half my pills until I'm sure i can handle more i try to stick to that then when I'm sure I'm ok. I take the other half and drink plenty of fluid...

Hi, I have had chronic back pain for years and have seen various doctors for the problem. Most have prescribed either tramadol or hydrocodone along with muscles relaxers sometimes. I've also tried a round of steroids (prednisone) as well as non pharmaceutical options like physical therapy, stretching and light exercise when I can tolerate it in an effort to strengthen my core. Most of these treatments have helped to some degree but the pain inevitably returns (and really many of the medications have only slightly dulled the pain but I still have had difficulty getting through the day even when taking them. So my question is, are there any sympathetic docs in the Austin area (or north like Cedar Park or Leander) who are willing to prescribe stronger pain meds and muscle relaxers anym...

Need to ID a white hard tablet with 377 on one side nothing on the other side ## I also have this pill and need to know what it is. The label on bottle is faded. Was prescribed to me and can't remember what they are. ## I know this is an old message but the most likely match to this ID is Tramadol 50 mg, an opioid pain reliever (NDC 57664-377): Inactive ingredients: - Starch, Corn - Anhydrous Lactose - Magnesium Stearate - Cellulose, Microcrystalline - Polyethylene Glycol - Sodium Starch Glycolate Type a Potato - Titanium Dioxide

What is difference between the two pills?which one is stronger ## Hello, Punkin! How are you? The tablet with the AN 617 marking is manufactured by Amneal Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 37.5mgs of Tramadol and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. However, the tablet with the 377 marking is manufactured by Caraco Pharmaceuticals and they list is only containing 50mgs of Tramadol, so it is the stronger one. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I take 50mg. of Tramadol by Anmeal . It is AN627. What is in this pill? And can I request the 377 from my pharmcay?

They have me on a tapering schedule to slowly wean me down off of this but my concerns are will I get my baby taken from me if she has mild with drawls still ? Even though my Dr is aware of my dependency and is prescribing me the tramadol and has me on a schedule ? I took 50mg of tramadol 15 hours ago, is it safe to take zzzquil to help me sleep? I dont take the tramadol all too often, only on days when my back pain is really severe and I only take zzzquil when I just can't get to sleep. I know they have moderate interactions when taken together but I'm wondering if this is far enough apart to avoid adverse effects. ## Hello Al, According to the FDA tramadol has a half life of 6 hours, generally it takes between 4 and 6 half lifes to be completely out of your system. Since you are only at the 15 hour mark you would only be at two half life cycles which would be unsafe to take with the zzzquil. Doing some simple math it would be safe to take zzzquil approximately 24 to 36 hours after you had administered the tramadol. Hope this info helps a...

I NEED TO KNOW WILL TRAMADOL SHOW UP IN A DRUG TEST? AS WELL AS NAPROXEN SHOWING UP AS T.H.C.? ## Just finished taking a ua and hair follicle and I've been taking Mexican tramadol. Will I come out dirty with opiates? ## Gorilla, As far as the ua goes you will not test positive unless the test specifically for this substance which is rare. As for a hair follicle test, that I can not say but traditionally the protocol for that level of testing is far more inclusive and sensitive for all substances. I am familiar with those who claimed a false positive with the ua for Mexican mtf. I was taking Tramadol as prescribed for 5 years. Then one night I took the same amount then I felt like I almost couldn't breathe. Now I can't take it without feeling like I can't breathe...what is wrong? ## stop taking it no matter what your doc says ## Reactions to a medication can suddenly occur, even if you've taken it successfully before, some people's bodies just can no longer tolerate them. It is hard to say what is causing this reaction, it could be a developed allergy or a blood pressure elevation, among other things. Have you spoken to your doctor about this, if so, what have they said? ## I was taking tramadol on and off for about 6 years and this would occasionally happen. just what to know my kid had some,so i want to be sure if thats what he had thanks. ## Tramadol is actually a generic for Ultram, so there are quite a few on the market, all made by different manufacturers. This means they all have different markings, depending on the manufacturer and dosage, so there is no way I could list them all here. If you can post back with more details, such as the markings on the pills he has, I will gladly check it for you. Here are just a few examples of Tramadol and the markings on the tablets, all of these are white, round tablets: AN 627 50mgs Cor 127 50mgs M T7 50mgs PAR 821 100mgs PAR 822 200mgs PP 100 100mgs and there are many others, some are in other shapes and colors, as well, plus there are generics for Ultracet, which contains the Tramadol, with Ac...
