Tapering Off Suboxen

I have been on suboxene for a little more than a year and my doctor won't taper me down ski need to find out a successful taper that will work and hopefully pretty fast. Please help.

Decided to share this part also:
1st appt $200
Subozone for 8 days w/discount card $60
2nd appt $250
$70 for 27 days of zubsolv
3rd appt $250
Subsolve $70
Note ins wouldnt cover subox
But did cover 80% zubsolv
Total=$900
And, worth every penny

I was on presc vics, norco, to percs for 6 yrs.
At final tally it was 12-14 percs a day!
Time to quit: started w/suboxone 1st 8 days (2 a day)
Insurance dillema
Now, subsolv pills
1.5 pills a day for 2 mos
Half pill 3x a day
Time to ween:
Half pill 2x a day for about 10 days
Now, cut pills into quarters
Took 3 quarters a day for 7 days
2 quarters a day for 7 days
Cut quarters into eighths
2 quarters a day for 7 days
1 quarter a day for 5 days
Waalaa!
Im free!!!
Anxiety? Oh yea!
But you'll be ok!!!

Why don't you just change doctors to someone who may be more willing to work with you? As a paying customer, you have a choice with whom you spend your money, and in the end it's his loss for not wanting to help you.

I would strongly recommend seeing a pain management specialist since they are at least more knowledgeable and understanding of these types of medications and what true chronic pain patients really have to go through.

Some medications can be taken in fractions (actually cut into pieces) and these smaller pieces can be taken in place of the regular dose for a period of several weeks until the body is no longer dependent upon them. However this process is usually done under the supervision of your doctor.
