Renee-- I confirmed my appt. For J.R. today. But nothing else has happened yet. I wish there was another way we could get in touch with each other.

I confirmed my apt today also. Nothin else. I did call and leave a message asking if they were closing because I had an apt. I didn't leave my name but a number, but no call back yet.

Renee I called yesterday, left a message so they know me by name. I use to have Regina's cell number but I switched phones and lost it...

Kinda figured that. The thing is he expects you to have to clean drug panels, not understanding I have small children to care for on a daily basis. I had sub in my system even after five days! I need my pre authorization to even get one sub! I'm scared that medicaid may refuse cause I had a small amount in my system! Maybe I can just taper down and off on my own. No one will help! Very frustrated! Anyone been turned down for one dirty drop to get your meds?

API clinic accepts hip patients and you don't have to pay anything! But he will make you have clean drug panels! I imagine if your place is closing and you only have prescribed meds in you then your good! However I believe this doctor wants to get people off the suboxone the way he talks. Which I can't blame him. It's hard on your body. Best of luck to you!

Thanks Bam and Lisa. I still haven't heard anything from my Dr's office about closing so hopefully we'll still have our apts but still nervous and having anxiety about it all week. My next option would be to go to the API clinic. Bam, how long did that Dr. say that he wants you on the sub treatment? I think most Dr's are 2 years right? Ive heard some try to get people off them in a few weeks or months.

Oh I also wanted to let anyone that needs the info know that I found 2 Dr's in the Indy area that are taking patient but it's cash for the visits and insurance covers meds. It's expensive. I couldn't afford it. $400-$600 for the first month and then $210-$300 every month after.

Yes. Lisa. I'll post the name and info here when I get home. Hopefully the forum doesn't block it out. So do you plan on going to your apt tomorrow? I'm really worried they closed down or something now that you said you heard the Dr. is going somewhere else and other people said that they are closing. Oh boy I've been so stressed about that.

I got my call today from journey road. Dr Vance Rahamm has closed because investors weren't paying the bills or staff. I asked if he was at another clinic, Amanda said he went to Georgia. She did call me in a script & gave me a few numbers.

I'm in new castle and am trying to find a suboxone dr that takes Medicaid too!!! I guess they rather you go out and do harder drugs that get help to get off opioids . Pretty sad. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated . I guess I'll just keep being an addict since no one wants to help

I can't see the doc at the API clinic keeping anyone on subs for two years but that is just my opinion. I gave up after going three times. From what I hear he gives most a starting dose at 4mg a day! I wouldn't go there if you think u won't be ready for awhile. But, if u can always try. I think he us meant to help out short term. I just couldn't handle the long drive. It's worth a shot if you aren't real far away from Crawfordsville.

Crystal I know these posts are old but there is api clinic in greencastle that takes hip u may have to switch networks if u live close to Bloomington they prob automatically put u in the IU network and they r excell but it worth a shot

Dr. Allen MacKay in Bloomington not only stole the $250.00 that i paid for my first visit...He flatly refused to call in a pre-authorization to my insurance company to have filled! even though my insurance would have covered it! My insurance company couldn't even believe he did this to me...He had no intention calling it in the first place..they use deception to lure you in..steal your money.give you a one week script, that is worthless knowing he'll NEVER authorize it for you..His practice is nothing more than a scam operation..he also did other unethical things.

If ya are trying to get off suboxone jus start taking a tiny piece of the film only wen ya caint stand it anymore. It took me 2 weeks but clear of the beast now and feel better off than on, I thot I'd never get off of it I was on it 2 years, but do like I said you can kick this monster!

I am glad that method worked for you but most doctors and I don't mean suboxone doctors would recommend that. The most ideal way according to doctors is to reduce the amount you take by 1/8th of a strip or 1mg a month if you can reduce it by 2mg a month even better. If you taper off a little at a time your body won't even notice that it's missing. But you set yourself up to fail doing it your way. That will not work for the MAJORITY of suboxone patients. I'm a nurse and have been working with people with addiction for a very long time. I'm not an advocate of staying on suboxone for years either. The ideal way to take suboxone and stay clean afterwards is to take the med as prescribed for at least 6 months to a year then talk to your physician about tapering down 1 or 2mg a month. Studies show that this method of tapering off is the most successful for patients to STAY clean after they've been off suboxone. So for others reading this please do NOT try this method of only taking it when you can't stand it anymore. It's dangerous and quite frankly idiotic.

Do not go to the api clinic in crawfordsville.....the doctor wants 2 clean U/A's before he will write u the script for subs....and he only gives you a half a strip a day......I drove from martinsville to crawfordsville to find that out and it was a waste of time.
