Strange Drug Test Results, False Positive And False Negative

Got a pretty good shock this morning when I went to see my pain management doctor. Apparently, I have had 2 tests with abnormal results. One that only showed me positive for fentanyl and another that only showed me positive for xanax. Heres where it's confusing. I'm currently on oxycodone and xanax, but at the time of the first test I was on hydrocodone.

On test 1, it had been almost a full week since my prescription was up so I'm not surprised it was negative for hydrocodone, but know for a fact the xanax should have shown up. This makes me suspect that there was a major screw up at the lab or at the doctor's office.

On test 2, the xanax showed up but the oxycodone that should have didn't.

The first test has a month and a half between the collection date and the test date, the second has just under a month. These test happened several months ago so I very upset that they didn't bother to mention this before and that there is no way I could independently confirm with hair or nails.

So my questions are, given the long time between the test and the collection date, could the xanax and oxycodone have degraded to a point where they would show up negative?

I am also on HCTZ for high blood pressure - Is it possible this could have flushed me out if I missed a day or have not been taking the max dose every day?

They filled my prescriptions this month, but told me that if I test negative again they will cut me off from narcotics. Given how long it took to tell me the results and how long it took to actually test them, I've decided I'm done with them, I'm cutting myself off, and will be looking at alternative options, I could hear the guy in the room next to me had problems with his test and "DEA" was mentioned, so at this point I'm pretty scared.
