Took this medicine for Cellulitis. Felt better within eight (8) hours, and was able to work a double shift the very next day. Absolutely no noticeable side effects.

i was given this pill for a staph infection. Worked wonders with no side effects. This is what I found out about the pill on another site. FYI

This confusing string of letters stands for "sulfamethoxazole/trimpethoprim, double strength 800 mg-160 mg" and the "teva" refers to the manufacturer. This is an antibiotic preparation of a sulfa antibiotic plus trimethoprim. The brand name is Bactrim or Septra. It is used to treat a wide range of infections, from urinary tract infections to skin infections and certain kinds of pneumonia.

I have read most of these reviews and in my opinion this pill is the BOMB. I started taking it almost a week now with only one small side affect. I had 2 cysts/boils on both pectorals, 5 inches long and 2 1/2 inches wide, talk about PAIN! Within 2 days they came to a head a burst, ahhhhh relief they have shrunk so much and no surgery, 1 week left and I'm doing good; a lot of leakage but otherwise no pain. Only side affect; my anus is itching like crazy, but other then that the pill works great. Thumbs up!!!!

I started this drug 4 days ago for a bad bronchitis and sinus infection. The first two days of medicine I had bad stomach cramps, headache and loss of appetite, but nothing I couldn't tolerate. Day 4 has been smooth so far...with marked improvement in my lungs. Sinus infection is taking a bit longer than id like.

I started taking Bactrim 3 days ago and have no problems but i wake up today with pain on my left side on my stomach. Before i started taking the meds i was fine didn't even know i have a bladder infection but now i'm taking this stuff i'm in pain. Call the doctor and she out of town so had to call another doctor and was told stop taking it and if i stay in pain go to ER.

I started taking this stuff (SMZ/TMP DS 800-160 Interpharm) four days ago for a severe UTI. :( I have been terribly nauseous from the first day, and I'm supposed to take this stuff for two weeks! I've taken tums and pepto bismal to try and feel better, and they help a little, but not enough. Should I go back to the doctor's and ask for a different medication or just weather it? :( Are there any tricks anyone knows to get rid of the nauseousness associated with this drug?

Idk to me all it does it make me sleepy. I'm hurting pretty bad but only been on the pill since yesterday. I do suffer from a mild headache but nothing I would consider unusual for me just more sleepy than anything. I haven't felt anything different as far as from the pain I'm dealing with but that could be because of me just starting it yesterday.

I have been taking this medicine for 5days now for a really bad middle ear infection. The first night I threw up and have been slightly nauseated everyday sense and have had minor headaches.However my infection is finally clearing up after having no luck with other antibiotics.

I started taking this medication for a UTI. I was in SO MUCH PAIN the first day, I really thought I would be going to the hospital, by the second and third day, I was almost back to my old self. When taking Bactrim....DRINK LOTS OF WATER!!! You must or you could be dealing with alot more side effects.

I've been taking this for about 3 weeks now for acne and I haven't really had a side effect. Random stomach issues, but nothing killer especially compared to the last antibiotic I was on. Also it has worked wonders on my acne. This medication does make me extremely dehydrated though, but thats to be expected with most antibiotics.

I've been nauseous ever since starting this medication but I'm not complaining. It beats being in a hospital with an IV which is what the dr wanted and it beats a head to toe rash as an allergic reaction to anything related to penicillin, amoxocillin, or septra. :) Nausea I can handle as long as I know its a side effect not reaction to the infection.

Started taking this medication earlier today for a boil/abscess on my ass. First time urinating afterwards it was very dark. Second time, very bloody.

The swelling is already going down some though so I'm gonna try riding it out for a couple of days.

I don't understand all of these negative side effects. I take this pill for acne and it works wonders for me, not only has it cleared up my skin (back chest and face) but its improved my coloring as well. I've had no side effects whatsoever, except compliments on my 'great skin'. Love this med and would encourage it for anyone with acne. Much luck everyone.

Has anyone else been feeling disoriented? when I get in the car it's like all of my senses are s***ty. I'm also dizzy all day long. Would anyone condone driving while on this medication? By the way I am taking this with another antibiotic for staff infection

I did not feel well on this medicine. I was extremely tired and had a really bad headache. I was to take it for 3 days for a UTI, stopped taking it after 2 days. Could not bare to take it another day and feel like this.

i have taken this drug for one week today and just began to experience side effects head ache pain crossing through my head nerves jumping all over my body but feel as though this cured my symptom. effecting my throat a tightening in stomache like u have acid reflux belching passing gas...etc
