Just found round orange pill with fancy v on one side and 5432 on other ## Hello, Bob! How are you? Can you please double check the numbers, I know they can be hard to see on small pills? Could the numbers possibly be 5485? The tablets with the V logo are manufactured by Qualitest Pharmaceuticals and they list the one with the 5485 V marking as containing 60mgs of Propranolol. The FDA classifies this medication as being a beta blocker that is most commonly used to treat high blood pressure and certain cardiac conditions. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach pain and hypotension.

The indigestion can be a common side effect, as well as nausea, diarrhea and fatigue. However, these should wear off, after a few weeks, when your body adjusts to the medication. You should talk to your doctor, as in the meantime, you may need to use something to help k...

I started taking Propanolol for PVC's 2 weeks ago. 10mg once a day. That made me dizzy so i cut it up into two doses. 5 mg twice a day. That seemed to work well. I did have a few side effects for about 7 days....extremely cold hands, shortness of breath, dizziness but then I felt great for about 3 days. Now it is horrible. I started feeling REALLY tired. Can't hold my eyes open tired. Can't seem to get woke up of the mornings and now for the last 2 nights I have been so short of breath it is waking me up. Like I will fall asleep and right after I doze off, I wake up by gasping for air. I have never had this problem before and it is worrying me. I have had several Ekg's in the last 10 years and all have been normal. Last one I had was 10 months ago. Someone suggested Ader...

I've been taking Propranolol 40mg tablets 3x a day. My doctor has switched me to 120mgs Propranolol extended release. Is there any difference other than one being instant and the other extended? ## Hello, Triss! How are you? No, that's it. The one was regular release and the ER is slowly released over the given time period. Time released medications can help give better blood pressure or cardiac control and increase medication compliance, since they don't have to be taken as often. Propranolol is a beta blocker that's most commonly used to treat high blood pressure and certain cardiac conditions. Typical side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, hypotension, stomach pain and increased urination. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I'm doing well. T...

taking Pur-Bloka 10mg 3 imes a day. as part of my anti-depression medication. i am expenriencing extreme tiredness. does this get any better or should i ask for another type of medication. ## Hello, Monica! How are you? Since this contains the active ingredient Propranolol, which lowers heart rate and blood pressure, it might be causing yours to drop too low. Have you checked your blood pressure or heart rate, while you're feeling that way? This just might not be the right medication for you and you may need to switch to something else. ## Thank you Verwon. I have now reduced it to 1 tablet twice daily and feel much better. I will however monitor my blood pressure from now on. Thanks for the advise.

Good morning I am on several different medications. I'm currently taking propranolol 20mg, lisinopril 20mg and just picked up a new medication ecitalopram 10mg. I would like to know if it's okay to take all of the meds together or would it be best to spread them out throughout the day? ## Hello, Toni! How are you? What instructions have been provided with the medications? Usually, the blood pressure and cardiac medications should be taken in the morning, so they can help control your condition during the times of day when you'll be most active. However, the Escitalopram may vary, depending on how much drowsiness it causes you.

My father is in cardiac intensive care following bypass surgery and has been given this drug. I'm trying to find out more information about this drug. thanks, Jenny ## My mother is in ICU as well and she is on a propolol drip. It is used for persons who are intubated and allows for assisted ventilation without a decrease in cardiac output. The downside is that there is an associated drop in blood pressure when the propolol is increased. Generally the drug seems to be used for such anesthctic purposes in ICU when patients need to be calm and passive. what are the ingredients in this product? my mother has is taking Deralin 40 for her thyroid. I am wondering if she can take Crysanal (550mg) without affecting her thyroid medication. ## Hello, Lee! How are you? Deralin is not a thyroid medication. It contains the active ingredient Propranolol, which is a beta blocker that's used to treat high blood pressure and some cardiac conditions. Now, what she's being treated for will answer whether or not she can take the Crysanal. She may not be able to, if she's taking it for high blood pressure, because NSAIDs can raise blood pressure. Can you double check what she's being treated for and post back? Thanks!

And can I take propranolol on an empty stomach? The reason I've not asked my doc these is that I never got a chance to, with all the panicing and now I can't contact one till tomorrow due to having no minutes. ## Hello, Chanika! How are you? It can be taken with or without food, so unless your doctor says otherwise, gauge it for yourself, if it makes you nauseous on an empty stomach, then it would be best to take it with food.
