Pain Management Doctors Near Fairfield California
UpdatedI've just moved from Santa Cruz California to Rio Vista Califorina and I've unfortunately had to change my doctors.. I have numerous medical conditions that all require close monitoring (monthly blood tests and medication adjustments per results of said bloodwork) numerous medications for said conditions as well as being a chronic pain patient for 30 plus years now.
I'm apparently going too have to reestablish myself here in the Solano county medical community. I'm looking for a good primary care doctor that has a long-standing well recommended established medical practice that is accepting new patients.. I put Fairfeild down as the area however I'm willing to drive father if necessary to receive good care.
I'm also looking for an established chronic pain management medical practice that treats their patients with respect and dignity and will prescribe the medications that are recommended for the conditions being treated without any problems or hassles.
Ever since early 2000's Purdue Pharma was pushing doctors to prescribe OxyContin for all of their patients that had any sort or type of pain. Prescribing it for “Minor Pain” that say a Vicodin would've been the normal protocol for those type of “minor regular everyday aches and pains” or for acute pain which normally required say 7/10 days worth of an immediate release form of an opiate type medication like Oxycodone 10mg Immediate Release. Doctors were giving a 3 month supply of OxyContin 80mgs Quantity 210 for lower back pain.. End result is so many people became addicted to OxyContin that they'd doctor shop for any kind of narcotic pain pill and when that dried up because doctors are afraid to write for narcotics for pain patients or anybody because their afraid to loose their DEA# so people like me are the ones that suffer. OxyContin made so many people into heroin addicts and has caused so many deaths by overdose and suicide.
This is why I need to find a established doctor who's been in practice for decades and knows what he's doing. I want need and desperately require an experienced doctor who really listens to his patients and cares about them and fights for you.. a primary care physician is supposed to be the one that is looking out for your health and will do whatever it takes to get you the care/ tests/ medications/ procedures and everything else.
I know it's a big order that I'm asking your help on but there has just got to be a few good honest fair doctors out there that are “Old School” and both behave and treat you with respect and dignity.. Anywhere in Solano County Califorina I can go to... thanks for any and all help!!
