I have a patch that is called Transdermal system and it says 25 mcg/hr, it also says each Transdermal system contains: 2.55 mg Fentanyl. I am a first time user on this medication, what effects will I experience? ## Well, this can have some adverse effects. I am not sure if you have previously used narcotics, I know this should not be used by anyone who has not already built up a narcotic tolerance as it is a very, very strong med. 80 times stronger than Morphine as a matter of fact. I had three vertabrae fused in Oct. 2008 and it has been the worst experience of my life. Not only has the pain not stopped before, and after the surgery, but I have heard numerous rumors regarding the practice. The rumors aren't good. ## I had my 2nd fusion in May. Pain is worse than before. The reason for the fusion was the excruciating pain in my thigh. My doctor said I would never be free from pain in my back, but I had no idea that the pain would hurt like this. I take Vicodin ES three times a day. My leg pain is better, but I still have some from the nerves. I am 70, so that's what I get for being so nice all these years. :-( ## I agree that this surgery is useless and it is very dangerous. I was prescribed 10/500 lortab and I got the generic. They have always been blue and bigger in size than the 5mg or the 7.5mg, but this is white and smaller like a 5, nothing on the front and on the back on the left it says 1P, and on the right it says 119, so it looks like 1P 119. pharmacy says they are the same as 54 609 but make me feel different and can't find listing for them anywhere ,supposed to be 4mg hydromorphone. ## 54 609 contains 4mgs of Hydromorphone, a generic for Dialudid, a narcotic analgesic. I cannot find a listing for the 54 196 anywhere, either. However, if they are made by a different company, the amount of the active ingredient could vary slightly and this may explain why they make you feel different. I found 2 of these pills in my sons room and i can not find any info on them at all it seems that no one knows what they are any help is appreciated!! ## Do you know the color and shape of the pills; or any other possible marking that could be hard to make out?
