I sniffed a 10mg opana about 2 hours ago.. i am nervous my parents will be drug testing me sometime this week. i havent done any drugs (besides alcohol) in 4 months. should i drink a lot of water? or does throwing up work, or will that just make me have to drink more water? i also read somewhere it doesnt metabolize for 3 days, does that mean it wont show up for 3 days? it is possible ill be tested tomorrow but i think i can hold it off until 3pm. any suggestions or words of encouragemnt would be greatly appreciated! ## Kiki drink lots of water or cranberry juice and take lots of niacin and other anti oxidant......ps don't snort anything it's not worth the side affects.... Please help me, I am getting prescribed opana and i want to know if it exists in a 30mg form, and if so, what the inscription is supposed to be? ## @the queen, To answer your question, 30mg Opana "ER" tabs do in fact exist. However they are not white as you mentioned in your description. They are actually depicted as being red in color and also eight-sided. As far as the imprint is concerned, the one's I'm finding made by Endo Pharmaceuticals have the number 30 on one side and are blank on the other. I was prescribed 10 mg Opana when my dr changed my 60 mg morphine to reduce the mg quantity due to the Narcotics and Controlled Substance bs. the pharmacist said it was equivalent as far as the dosage and ability to control the pain. I took a whole one due to not being able to break it and feel there is no comparison. Is this something that gets better the more you take it? ## It actually takes 20mgs of Opana to equal each 60mgs of Morphine. So, that may be why you're not getting as much relief. what does an opana 60 mg look like? ## There is not a 60mg Opana available on the U.S. market. Opana is a very potent narcotic that contains the active ingredient Oxymorphone and it is only available in a maximum of 10mgs. Was it perhaps a different medication that you were thinking of? There are tablets of both Morphine and Oxycodone that are available in 60mg dosages. ## Opana is not available in a 60mg. pill. I have been taking Ultram 50 mg 2 tabs 4 times/day + Lyrica 150 mg twice/day for years for not only almost every vertebrae in my neck & back being herniated with impinged nerves, spinal stenosis, degenerative spine disease & scoliosis, but also severe fibromyalgia & osteoarthritis (mostly in the knees & ankles. I take opana and roxiecodone could it in anyway show up as morphine since it's a mixture? also isn't oxymorphone morphine? Thanks ## The Oxymorphone in the Opana and Oxycodone in the Roxicodone are both synthetic opiates and these have been known to occasionally cause false positives for other synthetic opiates. Morphine, however, is not synthetic, so that's not one they've been reported to cause a false positive for. The Oxymorphone is distantly related to Morphine, but it is not the same substance and, therefore, the metabolites that it creates in the body, which would be detectable on a drug test, are different. How can I convince the doctor to give me the instant release Opana? I'm on the ER 10 mg Opana's now but would like the instant release I take with Oxycodone 30 mg. I have osteoarthritis all over and cannot take anti-inflammatories. I have been in pain management for years but the doctor recently changed and the new one wants to do stuff like burn the nerves off my spine and run a wire up my spine and into my neck for a permanent tens unit. I do not want to do these procedures! I do not (and never have) abused drugs and always take them as directed. I need a pain doctor that will prescribe a long acting (extended release) like Opana or Oxycontin AND Norco or Percoset 10/325 for break thru pain. AND one that will not try to do dangerous procedures on me!

I'm disabled and my insurance has denied my prescription. My family paid for it and it was 500 dollars. been on oxycontin for 4 years and is not working as well since they switched formula ## We have had a lot of people posting similar complaints. Opana contains the active ingredient Oxymorphone and it is actually stronger than Oxycodone. If you were taking 40mgs of Oxycontin, you would only need 20mgs of the Opana.
