I have spent so much time trying to get my Opana 20mg er and 10 mg ir filled. I had to start sending my scripts to Optum Rx by mail to have them filled. Honestly I've never seen anything like it. I didn't even have this much trouble getting Oxycotin and Oxycodone filled. My insurance co didn't want to pay for my oxycodone anymore so they suggested I change to Opana. The first couple of months it was ok but then I don't know what happened but when I said I couldn't get them filled anywhere I meant it. I went 3 weeks without medication before I received my first order back through the mail order company. I'm trying to change to another medication that I can get locally that my insurance will cover. My question is which medication works better, Opana or Oxycontin an...

I was taking OxyContin for pain management for Cercvical Stenosis. I have had four neck surgeries in the past six years. The Opana doesn't seem to work as well as the OxyContin. Why?? The Dr said that this medication is twice as strong. It is not working. Now what do I do? I was thinking of doubling up on the Opana. But I am concerned about the side effects. My tolerance is so high after taking the oxy's for so many years I thought this was going to be my saving grace. Any suggestions?? Am I doing something wrong? ## Hello, Edna! How are you? Your doctor is correct, the FDA and NIH do list it as being twice as strong. However, not every medication works for every person that tries, so this just might not be the right one to help you. The FDA classifies this medication as a narco...

Can someone tell me if the still make the rapid release Opana I have 5 fractures on my spine and my Dr. prescribed me the extended release Opapa. It took 8hours for me to notice any reliefThis is not gonna work.so do they still make them or is there another kind. ## Hello, Nick! How are you? I'm very sorry that you're in pain. Yes, the regular release formulation is still available in 5 and 10mg dosages. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Needin 5 or 10 milligrames tabs ov valime can't get from no where can u help me

I need to pass positive for NORCO 10/325 and Opana 30 mg. Could I not take them and shave a little off both in my urine and pass? ## In most cases, that will not work for passing a urine test, since they also look for the metabolites and not just the presence of the drug and the metabolites only appear after it has been processed through your body. Learn more Norco details here. Learn more Opana details here. Are there any other comments or questions? ## Just take the Damn pills ## Doubtful on the newer tests, and it iswhat test is being used. Pain Maingement look at the creation (sp) level. It can tell if and how it was broken down by your body. Good luck though.

I'm moving to Vassar, Michigan in a few months and I'm looking for many types of doctors. Bay City, Saginaw, Michigan are some of the bigger city near to Vassar which is a very small city with hardly any doctors. I need a PCP, pain management, ENT, gastroenterologists, neurologist, urologist, nephrologist, hepatologist, cardiologist, and pulmonologist. I'm take 39 medications daily which means I take 87 pills a day plus inhalers, nasal sprays, nebulizer, and inj's. I have been seeing some of these doctors for 20+ years and have great relationships with them. I been seeing the pain management doctor for 7 years. I take Opana ER, oxycodone/apap, Lyrica, and a muscle relaxer. I know not all PM doctors will prescribe the same medications or Narcotic pain medications but I ha...

That logo is used by Actavis Pharmaceuticals. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Most pages of this site offer a pharmacy discount card, it is free and can usually be found towards the lower right of each page. Just click the link, put in your email address, print it out and take it to your pharmacy with your next prescription. Is there anything else I can help with?

I accidentally took 3 10 mg oxymorphone or in the same hour. Will it hurt me ## No .relax. your fine.you wont die. Stay hydrated ## How are you? Did you suffer any adverse effects? Any time you're worried about a possible overdose, you should call poison control, or go to your nearest emergency department. While such a dosage may be okay for some, if someone isn't tolerant to opiates, it could result in a dangerous overdose. The FDA lists overdose symptoms as possibly including nausea, dizziness, severe drowsiness, vomiting and shallow breathing.

I have been prescribe opana for over a year now and the dog carried off my months prescription and buried it. The Dr. Said he can't help me! I need some in a bad way ! Please help ## The DEA will block it even if he wants to give you the prescription. However you can get (I take instant so I'm going to make up the mgs for the example) a prescription for 100 20Mgs if you get 50 40mgs and take 2. But likely he will not write you this. Next you can ask for something called withdrawal patches. Doesn't mean you're an addict, you can still have withdrawals. If you have chest pains or shortness of breath for seemingly no reason call 911. Stop any meds especially narcotics cold turkey (albeit not by choice) is extremely dangerous. So monitor yourself. You may be ok. You may have...

Can't find a pharmacy in my area of California that can order opana ir 10mg by Roxanne. They tell me they are unavailable. Does anyone know why? ## The pharmacy is lying to you. Yes they do this more frequently than people realize. I am on the exact same medication (generic Opana IR 10mg by Roxane), and fill it monthly. They are available. There is no shortage. Your pharmacy is chosing not to fill it for any number of reasons. (For example They may have reached their alloted amount, or they suspect abuse, or they dont want to pay the exact amount for Roxane as the Teva 10mg are cheaper, or etc etc etc). My suggestion is to get any and all facts from the manufacturer customer service, then present your case to the PHARMACIST, not the pharmacy techs. Ask them what the REAL reason why ...

Are there any manufactuors coupons for Opana ER 10mg? ## If you can't afford your prescription for Opana ER, Endo Pharmaceuticals does have an assistance program that may be able to help, if you qualify. You can call them for more information at 866-824-4747. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. One year ago my pain mgmt doctor put me on Oxy OP but it ripped up my gut. Then he switched me to Opana ER and it too caused horrible gut pain. I read that the new formulation was basically some kind of plastic or polymer to keep it from being misused by people who want to abuse it. Because I could not tolerate these medicines my doctor decided to just let me continue to use hydrocodone 10/325 for several months since it worked fine for me. Now he's telling me I have to go back on either the Oxy Op or Opana ER, or another one (can't remember the name of it but it starts with a N) and use hydrocodone for breakthrough pain. What is in it that makes this so hard to digest and hurts my stomach so bad? I don't understand why the doctor wants me to go back to one of those meds sin...

When I grt my script filled (60 opana 30 mg) I am told they only have 20 and if I decide to take them I will not be able to get the rest when the order comes in. ## I have been told the same thing by 2 different pharmacies, It is a federal law that the pharmacie only fill a narcotic prescription once, even if it means being short on your script. The pharmacie will contact your dr and let them know that you are short and your dr will write another script. I know you can find pharmacies that will bend the rules and fill it twice to get you the correct amount. Or you can just go to a different pharmacie that has all 60. Hope this helps ## I believe you have 3days to get the rest of whatever they short you. Check with pharmacy. Supervisor or manager first ## What it really comes down to is ...

I do not know why anyone hasn't mentoned methadone ? Opana. Diaudid are both IR drugs. The pain relief never lasts long and tolerance develops quickly. Methadone is an instant release medication whose long half life cannot be beat. There is a new law or regulation that if your pain management Doctor has you on methadone that an EKG has to be done each year. Evidently methadone can contribute to heart arythmias but lower dose's ( under 80mg ) seem to be fine. 80 mg of methadone will keep almost anyone pain free ( and possibly asleep) and the duration is 24 hours. I was on methadone maintenance for years but not for chronic pain I am an addict but now in recovery from all drugs and etoh but methadone is a great pain medication for chronic pain sufferers but has a bad reputation be...

My dad had a surgery done on his shoulder and they prescribed her Opana IR 20mg. He had late stage COPD and he wasn't taking any narcotic pain medication prior the surgery. I take Opana myself and it a powerful medication. I know these type of medicines can affect your breathing at high doses. I know Opana is two times stronger the oxycodone. So it is like taking 40 mg of oxycodone. I don't know why they didn't give him like hydrocodone or oxycodone instead at a lower dose. It would been different if he was taking these class of medication where he would been use to them in his system. He was very doped up when he can home that day he was never fully awake after leaving the hospital my mom gave him the medicine about 4 hours after getting home. He fell to sleep in his favori...

I am amazed that people are so ignorant of what constitutes a narcotic. I grew up when opana(sp?) were made by Endo and looked exactly like a Percodan and responded to water the same. Pharmacies carried coke and like Dilaudid in liquid and powdered form. Those were the days. ## You "grew up" ??? Um, Opana is pretty new,so I'm not sure how you grew up and taking this med do young? All drugs respond to water! Sounds like you've hit your Opana bottle too hard, lady!

I know they make a 40 mg er opana . But do they make a 80 mg er opana ?? ## No, the 40mg is the maximum dosage available. 5 mg of Opana is approximately equal to 85 mg of oxycodone... ## Hello, LBrown! How are you? I'm sorry, but that is not correct. Opana is actually only twice as strong as Oxycodone, so 5mgs of Opana would be equal to 10mgs of Oxycodone. The FDA classifies these medications as narcotic analgesics, so they carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects such as nausea, dizziness, constipation, dry mouth and drowsiness. I've been taking Opana ER 20mg and Opana IR 10mg for 6 years now. It has been the best in managing my chronic pain. As if having to deal with that pain weren't enough, I now have to worry that the one medication that allows me some peace. Now it won't be available when I need my refill on May 15th. I am terrified of having to deal with my pain without any help and of the world of other problems I will have because of sudden stoppage of my meds. No one seems to have an alternative to offer. My quality of life is nonexistent when my pain has skyrocketed beyond my tolerance level. How come the manufacturers can pull the rug out from under patients like me? The ones that are legit. The ones who use their meds properly and are grateful for even a small amount of relief? The ones ...
