No Problems On Lyrica

Updated

Ive been very shocked with how much literature online there is, from patients relating terrible afflictions to taking Lyrica. Its just a guess, but Im pretty curious if maybe people having such bad responses is due to interactions with other meds?? Ive been on Lyrica, 150-225mg per day for several months for Rheumatoid Arthritis pain & Headaches. I haven't experienced any issue whatsoever and it has worked great for me. I wake up with NO pain at all for the first time in many years. I'm 31, Female and also take a few other medications but no problems whatsoever with the Lyrica. I was nervous after reading about people having weight-gain but I haven't gained a single pound. I just wonder if the weight gain is due to feeling better and not having pain, so obviously one would eat better, where as anyone who has experienced chronic pain like me, knows that when you have pain you tend to not eat as much because you don't concentrate on anything but your pain. Im NOT trying to discount peoples' reactions, but Im just very very curious because it doesn't pharmacologically make sense that the medicine itself would cause weight gain.

The fact of relevance here is that most people that go looking for a website like this are doing so, because they are having a problem. Most of the people that don't have a problem, aren't looking for a site online to post about it.

This is true of anything from electronics to medications, so the posts you see are all mostly complaints, but the percentage of people represented using the product is actually very, very small.

Learn more Lyrica information here.

It is great that it's working so well for you and that you posted your experience with it, since it will help other users in the future.

Are there any comments or questions?

I am on lyrica too for the past 3 weeks for neuropathic
pain and I find it very good indeed. It has helped the
neuropathic pain and I sleep well at night without the
stinging and burning I used to have. I have a little few
side effects, like slightly less aware and slight memory
loss but nothing that would bother me too much. NO
weight gain either.

I have been taking Lyrica for over a year and I find that anyone on here may just be looking for an issue or something or someone to blame. I will say that I have had a great deal of weight gain and I too was thin, but i would much rather have a little added weight than the pain. I will say that with any narcotic you would have problems getting off of the drug but seriously are these people just looking for something to gripe about. I think we all need to Thank God that we can still type these ridiculous comments. Talk to your Dr. Not regular everyday people that may be taking other scripts that counter act the Lyrica to do something else. Seriously people, what doesnt have a side effect when it comes to ANY medicine??? This will probably end up one more drug that works for me, but just because it so-caused someone else to have an issue (whatever) I wont be able to take it anymore..... This is just like the person that burns themself with coffee and sues someone else.... Get over it...... TALK TO YOU DR.

Lyrica can and does cause other problems. The weight gain/bloating is real. I have constant joint pain and can barely walk. I continue to take it because it's working on my intractable migraines.
