Methocarbamol 500mg H 114 For Muscle Spasms
(Newest replies first)

A friend of mine has quit opiates and went through the withdrawal. Now he is having muscle spasms at night. Can he take Methocarbamol at night to get rid of the muscle spasms? Does he have to take them daily every 6 hours, or can he just take them at night when he needs it?

As a former opiate addict, I hope your friend successfully quit. Flexeril and baclofen (prescription muscle relaxers) helped me through as well as tramadol (prescription non-narcotic pain reliever) and gabapentin (prescription nerve relaxer) and medical cannabis to sleep!!!

I have been taking this off and on for about a month now. But still having the spasms. Now I am being tested for fibromyalgia and Lupus. It helps for some time. But just be careful with your bodies.

I took a half of this methocarbamol pill that has 115 on one side and an H on the other. I am having cramps in my leg. What are the chances of having side effects? I keep getting these cramps. I read the side effects and have never taken this medication before.

Methocarbamol is in fact prescribed as a muscle relaxant, so theoretically it should help get rid of the muscle spasms. Now to what degree will it help, I cannot say... but medical journals state that Methocarbamol works by blocking pain sensations that would otherwise be sent to the brain.

Because Methocarbamol is a prescription drug, only the prescribing doctor can advise your friend a proper dosing regimen. However some general guidelines can be found under a Google search for "Methocarbamol dosing".

I just realized that you posted this back in March, so being that it's May, I hope your friend has gotten around to feeling better by now!

Regards
