I know of someone that just committed suicide who also happened to be taking Lyrica. It may be impossible to know if the two things are linked. She was not depressed or suicidal before taking this drug that I know of; and as far as I know, only her mother noticed any changes in her personality leading up to this event. Since her death 6 days ago, I have read more than a few horror stories about not only Lyrica, but Ambien, and epilepsy drugs as well. My mother suffers from neuropathy, and that is my only knowledge of what it must be like to suffer pain so terrible that one would risk the known side effects, which include suicidal behavior; but I hope that everyone takes these warnings seriously. When the drug company says it is "rare", but cites a 1 in 500 statistic... please re...

Please anyone with side effects call all numbers you can find and report them. This is the only way to start making changes. There are also places handling lawsuits in Canada and the States. If you make billions from a drug do you think they care about paying millions? ## Just wanted to add to the post above in mentioning that if you experience a serious side effect, you or your doctor can also send a report to the Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) MedWatch Adverse Event Reporting program online [at fda.gov/Safety/MedWatch/default.htm] or by phone [via 1-800-332-1088]. I hope this information helps those who need it most! Does anyone else know of an effective way to go about reporting side effects and other concerns of that nature?

I have Chronic pain from Neruopathy, (Spelled wrong?) and Took until last week, 150mg Lyrica 2 times daily and oxycodone 15mgs 4 times daily. I was in basement, and woke up to voices upstairs, and I thought everyone was up, I was sure! Went up to find Nobody awake. This was AWEFULL, I am still Shaking that off, and Hope it goes away with the Lyrica. Wish me Luck? SCAREY! ## Hallucinating (seeing things or hearing voices that do not exist) is in fact a severe side effect associated with Oxycodone use. Referenced from: ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0000589/#a682132-sideEffects Even though it's clear that Oxycodone is the root cause of the hallucinations, I would still be careful, as Lyrica has a number of strange adverse effects too: ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0000327/#a60504...

Many patients has stopped taking lyrica after within less one month because of the side effects anyone has observed the same?? what recommendations ## I have been on Lyrica for about a month. I am now on 450 mg / day. My side effects are dry mouth, constipation, a bit tired and worst of all unable to have an orgasm. As long as the orgasm thing gets better when I quit the drug I will be satisfied as Lyrica is helping with the nerve pain in my back. Nothing I have tried myself or with my wife have helped with the sexual dysfunction I have encountered. It's not the end of the word short term, just annoying!

I have had 2 knee replacement on the one leg and several operations after. I kept getting severe pain burning and taser gun like experiences is the only way to explain it. Had informed the dr but many ops later it is getting worse now a physio says I have severe nerve damage. Will lyrcia help I have just started this is my 3rd day now I take 1x75gms in the am and 1 x 75gms in the pm. I am just so tired of pain all the time. I just want to live life again ## Hi Joey, Sorry to hear about the pain you've been having to deal with. I think Lyrica can assist in temporarily helping you mask the knee pain, but over time you either have to keep increasing the dosage to get the same effects (until your completely dependent upon the medication), or after a couple months or so you can switch me...

I have been on Lyrica about 4 months. I also take a long list of other meds for neuropathy. I have had some weight gain, confusion, and forgetfulness, a lot of the same symptoms as MS. Sitting home waiting on disability was worse on me than anything the meds could do. Because of Lyrica I am still able to work a 40 hr week. Before, I was in so much pain I didn't want to do anything. I've had great results. Pfizer Connection to Care Program can help with meds for people with no insurance. ## JT. I too have neuropathy(idiopathic)and am currently disabled. My primary pain is severe burning sensation on the bottoms of both feet!! if you have the same, please consider listing all meds(if you are allowed)you are taking for this terrible disease. Hi, As you know with Lyrica orgasm are difficult to achieve, in some cases I used to push myself for hours to attain climax. I had been taking lyrica for a year and i stopped 2 weeks ago. I am a 33 yrs old male. Problem: since i stopped taking lyrica, i started feeling some of the withdawel side effects such as: dizziness, drouziness, anxiaety, trouble breathing. ESPECIALLY AFTER HAVING AN ORGASM. (if i do not have an orgasm for a while all withdrawal effects cool down) this is very annoying and i am seeking help! thanks, sam ## I am sorry, but there is really no help for this, other than to let the effects wear off as your body adjusts to no longer having the medication. You said you stopped 2 weeks ago and it can take a month or more for such effects to wear off and your body to retur...

I had anal cancer. After treatments I suffered with pain in the anal area only. Four months later the pain doctor prescribed Lyrica. After one month I had trouble walking the underneath of my feet hurt. Then my right hand would not close and my fingers would not bend and caused severe pain. My whole body now aches like I was 100 yeas old. Sometimes I can't even pick up a piece of paper. I have mentioned all my aches and memory loss, blurred vision with him. Now he says I have developed fybromalgia and osteo arthritis because of the trauma of my cancer treatments. The more that I look back I did not have any of those symtoms previous to taking Lyrica I will be my own advocate. I will slowly get off this drug. I lost some of my youth and life with this drug they need to seriously look...

Hi. How many days will it take for 300mg daily of Lyrica to stop showing up in your urine? ## When you stop taking Lyrica, how long does it still show in a urine test? Thank you ## Lyrica contains the active ingredient Pregabalin, which is an anticonvulsant that is also effective at treating certain types of nerve pain, therefore, it should not be detected at all in standard drug testing, because these are not substances that are usually included in these tests. Does your doctor specifically look for it? ## I'm not sure, but they always ask before I have a random test. I really like my doctor, but can't get her to understand that I simply can't function on Lyrica. I don't know what to do. ## i too have been prescribed this drug I have mental illness.bipolar disorder and ...

Recently I was prescribed Lyrica for nerve pain after fracturing my C5 vertebrae. The medicine was taken as prescribed by my physician. After taking said medication for two weeks, I began experiencing unusual effects pertaining to my vision. To describe this visual side-effect i would say I lost a percentage of my eye sight. A simple comparison would be as if you had been flashed in your eyes by a camera. Only there was no camera flash... This occurred arbitrarily and without warning. I contacted my physician and was advised to discontinue use. Anyone else? ## There are actually a number of Lyrica threads on here pertaining to its side effects. I think you may find the one's below helpful in that regard; as others have complained about double vision, dry eyes, dizziness, etc: /Discu...

Help! I was given Lyrica by my pain management doctor. I have severe neurogenic pain from multiple sclerosis. I am also taking Wellbutrin and Cymbalta, the idea of being on 3 different-acting anti-depressants worries me. I am on heavy opiates for the pain and can live alright with the level of pain I have without the Lyrica, I am not sure if the pain doc is attempting to get me off opiates, or just wanted me to try Lyrica. The first dose of 100 mg (yesterday) made me high as a kite, I didn't feel like myself, could not stay on task, jittery, problems with balance, unable to concentrate, hard to sleep AND it seemed like my pain was actually worse.....I have hesitated to take my dose today, and the doc wants me to increase to 150 mg/day in 3 days, I cannot imagine taking more at this ...
