Kratom Causing False Positive For Fentanyl?

I've been on MMT for 25 years with no problems until 2 months ago. I started taking Temple Kratom (Mitragyna Speciosa) 4 months ago as needed for pain at night. My counselor told me last month that I tested positive for fentanyl but I didn't believe him. Got a new counselor this month and she told me that I had again tested positive for fentanyl! Kratom is the only thing that’s changed. Has anyone out there had any similar issues?

It’s possible that there is a sprinkling of opioid in the kratom you are buying.

Supplements like that aren’t going through any kind of approval process before they are sold.

Thanks for the reply. I’ve since learned that benadryl (diphenhydramine) can cause false positives for fentanyl. And as a matter of fact, a lot of things can cause false positives for fentanyl. But thanks for the reply anyway, I really do appteciate it. —elPete
