I became a pain patient after I fell off a horse in March of last year and sustained spinal injuries which are still VERY painful. Opana ER was the first thing doctors gave me that helped at all and now that they have changed the formula I'm in a lot more pain. I want to break down the formula so I can insufflate it, as I am told I may get more pain relief and increase bioavailability of the drug. The new formula hardly offers the same pain relief, Please help me!

Can or would u please explain to me how the freeze/ microwave method works with opana? Ive been on opana 10mg er ( the ones that r completely gel cant even b smashed with a hammer) and taking them by mouth works about as good as a baby asprin. If u would explain that methed to me id b very appreciative. THANK YOU, BROOKLYN

Thank you dear, so your mother-In-Law lives in Florida, how nice. that was so nice of you and your wife to do for her, many manufactured homes down here in communities, my parents use to live in one in Homasassa, they liked it a lot, why they decided to live in the frigid freezing winters in Iowa, I will never know, lol..;)

Puerto Rico is another place I wish to go as well, I have watched many shows on trips to Rico and I see its beautiful, Its on my "Bucket List" along with many South Pacific areas, TAHITI, BORA BORA...You get the point..;) Oh, and Hawaii....;)

Hi VK, No have never been. Mainly trips to Florida to my wife's mom. We got her a small but nice little manufactured home so she had ssomething to call her own. Soooo needless to say vacation is also repair time. My wife is from Puerto Rico and that's our vacation goal! Nice hearing your husband did something as wonderful as the trip! Have fun planning!

Have you ever been to Jamaica? I have wanted to go for such a long time, and my husband just told me last week he paid for our passports, handed me the money orders for the court houses to take the pictures and file for the passports, and said i needed it done by Friday..I was bright eyed of course, all smiles...hehehe

SOO, I believe We are going to the beautiful Island of Jamaica, the non threatening parts, there are some areas there you have to be very careful we are told.. My husband has been there many times, he is a Captain, but I haven't been out of the United States, and being 39....Kids moved out and working on their own futures, Some are married and given us grand-sons, but were ready to explore now..Aren't we suppose to be in our Prime around 40-50"s?? lol

well, make sure you always take time out for yourself, you deserve time to enjoy the things you like to do..Remember my friends,

O-pain-a, I'm not sure if you got an answer to your question. I know people may judge you for being something that your not, but i do completely understand your situation, my boyfriend is in a similar situation and i, myself is also on pain management but i take Methadone. He has read 2 ways that may help. The first is to {edited for safety} I know the later seems a little much but it's what my boyfriend prefers.

Um, I'm in College didnt know If I told you guys or not, I have been going to the "University Of Phoenix" Online studies for three years now, and will graduate with my degree in IT TECHNOLOGY/WEB DESIGN/Networking in September so I am pretty geeked its gonna be all over with soon, its been fun, challenging, trying ofmy nerves and knowledge.....that is for sure!!!! ;)))))

So, have any of you attended a college, want to? Just want to talk about something new...Any new careeer change you would love to do? Interests? Doug & NoName are just rude! Who would take the time out to post that crap?!?! And I think wetwet is just lost!
Anyway, I appreciate your postings and wouldn't hesitate to tell you if I didn't like or agree with something...of course I would be tactful about it!!! There is nothing wrong with disagreeing or offering a different opinion, it is good for stimulating discussions! However, negative tirades & personal attacks are counterproductive and usually just get ignored by most people. I think anonymous postings that are negative, are done by complete cowards!

Doug, who are you talking to? Why so angry? Were not hear to tell people what to do or not to do, were here for each other, to listen to effective pain control, say what we have experienced, and share thoughts..No need to be so negative, really, no one on here is trying to out-do another or think they no it all?? Im sorry your having a bad day, but most of us on here are here to share s*** with one another, maybe your just having a bad day? We all do, but it doesnt really help to put others down, or a particular person. I hope it wasnt directed towards me or some of us on here that posts regularly, because were not here to judge, just talk and listen...sorry your in so much pain, I and others use to be where your at, it sounds, and maybe take your anger out on the ones that wont help you more with your pain control, other than us on here that are trying to help?? Crush it wid the hose clamp and tylonal...that will keep it from gelling up n ur nose but will not make the high stronger or pain relief better I feel 5 5mg perc wayytyt more and def helps more wid pain more than 3 10mg new opana

Who in the hell are you to tell this person what they want or don't want to do? You know nothing about them, the pain they have, or the desperation they're feeling in taking medication that hasn't proven effective against their pain!! Does stupidity come natural to you or is it something that you work on everyday, if the latter is the case. you can take today off because you've proven it already today.

Thank you V and to all for your thoughts & words. They are deeply appreciated. V. Glad to hear your are doing well (except for that day). My meds are working fine except for some break through pain on occasion. Still having trouble with dealing with the loss of my best buddy but it gets a little easier each day. On the brighter side it looks like my losing streak is over. Finally. Time to start my day. Take care all.

Hello...I am doing great! The new generic Opana ER is working good for me... I take 40mg three times a day. Also, I have oxycodone ir 30mg to use as a prn for breakthru pain. This combination is good for my pain. I'm quite realistic thought and accept the remaining pain as something I just have to deal with. I've been without my meds, due to stomach illness, and the pain is excruciating! So, what I have to deal with now is quite a good bargain!!!
Hope you are still doing well! I haven't checked in for awhile, as I've been visiting my family for the last 3 to 4 weeks... I will be better about posting going forward!
May everyone have a pain free life(or close to it)!!!

I am really sorry for your loss. I know that's very hard to overcome and don't pressure yourself to even try. It will just happen one day. Memories still come everyday but not with the torture feeling. Please hang in there.

Sorry to hear the Opana is not working for you...maybe it's a blessing that you have to switch due to cost/insurance issues.
Opana has had many changes, which one exactly was not working? the yellow plastic pills with E on them, or the one out in January 2013, that is orange(generic ones)?
Yes, the generic Opana did get released in January, with some regions having a short delay... You will be glad to know, that it is killing Endo financially! Although there is some industry talk of the FDA changing their stance on non tamper proof narcotics, which might cause it to be pulled from market. This is such B.S.
I totally agree with you about the governments efforts to stop prescription drug abuse...as usual they create more problems than they fix...many more! I enjoyed your posting, and totally related to it! Good luck with your pain management...I hope things get better for you!!!
