How Long Will Suboxone Last

i was just wondering how long my suboxone will last i take one 8mg film everyday and have only taken my first dose so far so i guess my question is how long will i feel its effects

I have been on this med for 3 years now. When I first started it, I learned everything I could about it, so you are wise to begin questioning.

Suboxone can work in your system anywhere from 28-32 hours, depending on the person.
If you really want to test this out for some reaason, try waiting for your next dose until you start feeling SLIGHT withdrawl (sweating, agitated, restless legs). Then simply look at the time between the doses.
Suboxone works very quickly for relief-like within 20 minutes so no need to really frighten yourself, if this is something you feel you really need to test.

Buprenorphine.com, a non-profit division of the U.S. National Institutes of health, states that Suboxone has a half-life of 24-60 hours. This means that the drug has the potential to control opioid cravings over that time span.

Half-life here means that, say, 30 hours after ingesting Suboxone, half of the active amount will be gone. This doesn't mean that 30 hours later, though, the other half will be gone. At that point half of the remainder will be gone, then another half after the same time interval, and so on, until the drug is eliminated from the body.
