I guess no body understands the original question or knows thew answer except for one person too brief to be helpful. AGAIN; if you have NOT taken any pilld, of any sort, and you do how long will it take to get INTO your urine/bloodstream 9if the pill was mushed up also!). I am not and clearly neither are some others) asking how long till it comes out! Again, once you take a drug that is a pill if you take a UA 4 hours later..will it be detectable???

Mike, so many people have asked this very simple question, but have not gotten a straight answer. If someone is on 10 mg Percocet perscription 2 times a day and runs out like a week early before they go back to pain management dr and have a ua, if I had saved just 1 pill to take before the test to make sure it shows up positive for the Percocet, how long before the test should I take it? And should I take it on an empty stomach, and eat after, or don't eat at all, or what is the best way to make sure the test shows up positive? I weigh about 250 with average activity and metabolism. So many people have asked this very same question, if u have only 1 10mg pill, and need ua to b positive, how long before test should u take it? And if u could answer the more specific questions about taking my weight and whether I should eat or not before or after I take the pill, I would really appreciate it so much! Please answer asap, please, my test is in a couple days! THANK U SO MUCH!

Excuse me but I'm going to ask a very simple question that so far no one has been able to answer. At the moment my urine is clean. If I take one 10/650 Percocet how long before it will show up on a UA? Can anyone answer?

Percocet is a trade name of Endo Pharmaceuticals for a narcotic pain killer containing oxycodone and acetaminophen. It is used to treat moderately severe to severe acute (short-term) pain. The main ingredients of Percocet are oxycodone, and acetaminophen.
Percocet can show up in the urine for up to three to five days after taking it. Since you are taking it three times a day, I would recommend getting a note from your doctor so you can show the place where you are taking the test that is a prescription.

My doctor prescribes me percocets. However it is not nearly enough. You would think living in Austin I would be ok but I dont know very many people. Can anyone help me figure out how I can get my doctor to listen to me in help me manage pain better. Im in terrible pain. Thank you.

No, it should not. the only time I have had it come up is when I have taken it the night before a drug screen. That said, I have a perscription and a very high metabolism. I used to administer drug tests and when I contacted the pharmacist to see how long it would take for my client to pass percociet he stated w/in hours. This was many years ago and the tests are more sensitive now, but you can always call a pharmacist and ask. Tell them you are testing your child and their mother/father said they thought they had used it 2 nights before. Good Luck!!!

Just wanted to say thank you for all the answers. My drug test was4 days after my last pill. I have never drank so much water in my life, but I passed the drug test and I got the job! I never want to go thru those withdrawls again, so I am gonna try my hardest to stay off of them.

I don't know the exact time, but for me I usually do it 6 hrs before the UA to be on the safe side. I'm pretty sure after like an hr it'll be detected in ur system maybe even sooner but I'm not quite sure. 4-6 hrs is the best time to take it before ur test to come up positive though, especially if they test ur levels. (I get scripts that I need to come up positive every month for and this is what I do) sry I wasn't much help!

Ok this is my problem, I have chronic pain and see pain management. I take percocets 10 3 times a day, which I have told him that at times 3 just isn't enough and he refuses to put me on 4 a day. My last UA drug screening showed that I didn't have the percocets in my system. He cut me back to 1 a day til I could be reevaluate. Well I didn't make this month to well I have saved two to take the morning of the test and the test is 1:20 that afternoon. Will it show up in my test then. With the new laws you have to have the drug prescribed to you in your system or they think you are selling them. Lord knows I don't sell and I don't misuse I just take 4 like every day, so I go 10 days without and don't get it off my bed.

need to know what they look for in a urine test if they are testing you to see if you are taking your meds the meds being percocet 5 mg and vicodine es. my boyfriend is on the percocets n don't take them as much as he is supposed to and needs to pass a urine test to see if he is taking his meds and i've been taking the percocets at times instead of the vicodine es and need to also be tested.
