I was on Suboxone for a little over a year. I quit about a month ago. I may have to take a urine test for the courts. Will it show up? Should I mention it prior?

On Tuesday night at 8:00pm, I tested my son using a 12 panel quickscreen cup from American Screening Corporation. The results came back positive for Suboxone. He is very adamant that he isn't using any type of drugs. I would like to retest him, but I know that by now, it's more than likely out of his system. It is now Friday (2.5 days later). Can I use the same urine to retest him?

I had to take a urine test for work and it showed up positive for methadone which i have never done but i do take a piece of sub everyday, just a small piece one can usually last me 5-6 days

Ok I'm just wondering if anyone could answer this question.....I took 1mg of suboxone on Saturday, 1mg last night(Monday night) and I have a drug test on Thursday or Friday(3-4 days)... Will it be out of my system by then? It's for a pre-employment screening.... Any information would help...

Suboxone contains buprenorphine, which is a partial opiate agonist yes. However, it will not show up if you are taking a test for opiates because it is a synthetic opiate and does not break down into morphine the way heroin or codeine or other opiates do. Because of this, the only way it will be detected in a drug screen is if you are being tested specifically for buprenorphine. It is not standard to test for this. However, some places do. It really just depends. The drug screens my psychiatrist gives me test for buprenorphine. The drug screens my probation officer or the court give me do not test for burprenorphine. So it just depends. But normally it is not tested for. If you were prescribed buprenorphine by a doctor you cannot get in trouble for having it in your system. I am 100% positive that this information is accurate. It contains an opiate.. But it will not trigger a positive opiate result. It will only trigger a positive buprenorphine result. Hope I helped.

according to my doctor who is a SUB DOCTOR , there is a small amount of pain medicine in it and If I remember correctly it is a small amount of an opiate . I will ask again at my next appointment to clear this up lol

that's not nice to call people liars dude , it does make a difference on whos testing for what , I test at my doctors office and they can tell if its in my system or not but maybe they do have to test for it specifically , not sure ....I do know its suppose to block opiates for up to 3 days so I would think it would be in your system that long . but again , if your flushing your system with lots of water maybe I would flush out quicker

For at least several weeks. 20 days off that crap and I've still got trace amounts in my plasma. And since I didn't play by my doctor's rules they have cut me off. For anyone whose shared so much with a person, this was disappointed me greatly.

I just took a UA for probation today. Im not prescribed Suboxone, but do 2-4mg a day. I was around 64 hours off sub when I took the test and the line showed up very faint, so of course he had to give me the beneifit of the doubt. I drank about 1.5 gallons of water in 2 hours before my test and mostly urinated water and still almost failed. I'd say atleast 72 hours to be safe. I was never so happy to get out of his office and do a piece of sub because 64 hours without sub was long enough to be in withdrawl from it. I searched the web for hours, maybe ever days trying to find the answer (most of which were just rediculous) and couldn't get a straight answer. I hope this info helps anybody in need.

Not true..most Dr's now have the standard 12 test strip that does have a spot for bupinophine..I was tested at my family dr couple months back I get xanax and other meds from him..after the nurse put the results in the computer in the exam room she tossed it in the trash and walked out..I put it in my back pocket..I looked at it later at home and it was on there..so watch out .I'm sure if a family dr has the test most. Dr do now..

I just want to throw this out there... I have recently went to a suboxone dr aug 20, 2013 was my first visit and I just had my two week check up and I failed my check up drug test!! For opiates!! I haven't touched a pill in 15 days the dr said sometimes we get false negatives and he's sending it to a lab but just thought I'd let u know the result. I didn't think u could fail a test for opiates when on suboxone and ONLY suboxone but it just happened to me

i just did a piss test today for a school bus driving job and it was positive for suboxin...I took 4 mg two days ago and 4 mg yesterday. still showed up so if u get hit by the right test u will fail...I have a Rx for it but didnt tell em for fear they wouldnt hire me...too late now
