How Long Does 0.5mg Of Ativan Stay In Your System (Page 3) (Top voted first)

I took 1 0.5mg pill of lorazapam (generic for ativan) on Sunday night at around 10pm and have a drug test Tuesday at 4pm, will I fail? I do not take any other drugs and only took this one pill one time for anxiety.

Hey- there are so many answers for the question- "...I took an Ativan yesterday and was drug tested today, will I pass" in the little amount of quick research I've done, your answer seems to be correct...I hope, cause yesterday, I took 2 .5's at like 5-6 pm, at 8:30. AM today they sprung a urine test on me. I've been clean of everything (except methadone) for almost 200 days, can you answer me and let me know if I might pass? Thanks very much for your time!

I am on subutex and get drug tested every two weeks and I took 5mg of Ativan and I'm scared I'll fail my drug test which is 10 days after my dose of Ativan. it also was just a one time thing I hadn't had anything for almost 5 months. has anyone taken Ativan and had a drug test a week or so after and passed ?????

Yes it stays in your system for up to 7 days but it is not really a strong medication anyway so I highly do not think that it will be in your system by then , class 3 drugs stay in the system up to 14 days , drink ( as bad as it seems ) one 12 oz glass of viniger and two 16 oz glasses of water 24 hours in advance of the testing to be sure , that will remove anything toxic in your system

Took 1mg of ativan around 1pm on Friday then took a pre employment drug test Monday at noon. It is Tuesday and just got my results in. Passed it n 3 days. Don't take it a lot so 3 days for me.

They give Ativan as a withdrawal helper at hospitals, so I can't see how it would be bad with alcohol. I mean don't take it intentionally, but as something to help with your withdrawals I'd say you'll be alright.

I took 7 maybe 10mg of ativan Sunday night around 10:30pm then i took 5 and a half percocets Monday around 4-4:30pm and found out that they called my color for a U/A scheduled for Wednesday AM not long after the percs.... i panicked & s*** myself for an hr or two then came across this post... i started pounding water immediately. Prolly a lil over a gallon monday night b4 bed & then made myself have nothing but liquids (mainly water & tea) from that point on. I made sure that i was awake 2hrs b4 the test & urinated like 5 or 6 times. Then followed that with another 2 quarts of water & carried green tea with me to sip on. Im relieved to say that i passed it. I was sweatin balls big time while he was dippin it & almost blurted out my wrong doings. I literally almost fell over when i saw him dump it and say good job we'll see you next time.... lesson learned big time. No high is worth the pain (literal, thought i ruptured my bladder) and most of all its not worth the worry & stress facing down jail time (esp when ive only got 3 more months of this s*** left prolly 1 or 2 urine tests tops) thank all of you for your posts & tips... this thread really saved my ass & woke me the f*** up. Lol... good luck to yall who come after me. Take care & remember its not worth it, there is plenty of time after we're all done with this s*** to continue f***ing up if we haven't learned our lessons by now. Thanks again.

He's right... That 6 weeks is not true at all. But I'm a 33 year old male. Healthy. 5 foot 6 140 pounds. And I took an Ativan Sunday night. And tested negative Wednesday morning. What you really want to not take is valume. That hangs out in your system for a long time...

This makes perfect sense I'm on Lorazepam 0.5 mg ( generic ) Ativan . To use for occasional anxiety attacks . One day before my Dr. appointment I took one , I was tested the next day & none showed up . My Dr. asked if I had stopped taken it . I said "No but I don't take that many . I was scared she would take it away from me , but she said Right that makes sense it doesn't stay in your system very long.
Yes with drawls are Bad - Very fast for not being that strong of a drug. I've been trying to cut down because I hate those with drawls !!

Well I want to say..that I have done ativan everyday n gone the next day for a urine test and came out negative...I done xanax or clonopin n had my urine pulled the next day even a few days later n it came oit positive...so I think it is harder to detect ativan....just make sure u have at least 7 hrs clean...

Not that I recommend this at all, but I can only take ativan on Friday because I can get randomed at any time. Here's the I don't recommend part. I usually take at least 20 1mg one time even took 30 1mg and had a urine on Monday after taking 30 in Friday and passed. I have high tolerances so don't take that much I know I shouldn't either, but for urine tests two days is plenty of time if you are normal health.

I just had a drug screen for employment consideration. This job is desperately needed and I've had a hard time even getting interviews, so it was crucial I get this job. Well smarty pants me had been dipping into my husband's prescription Ativan supply for "occasional sleep problems." This was my biggest mistake! I had no idea a drug screen was on the horizon. When I found out, I had 6 or 7 days to stop the drug before the testing. The dose was 0.5mg, the smallest tablet. I probably had been using this for maybe 4 or 5 months, 2-3 days a week. Lost track. I went through agony wondering how I did. The urine test passed. It was for more than the basic 5-panel substances. Just wanted to tell everyone my experience. If as a result just one person quits taking an unprescribed drug, I will be happy!

Ok, this is personal exp.. I freaked out too, so most people who find this page, you took a bunch of lorazepam a few days before a urine test. Let me guess, you googled how long does it last, found two days and started taking them, am I right? Now you google it again and see six weeks. This is my story. I took prolly like 20mg over 4 days, 5 days before a urine test. I called pharmacy after pharmacy. All said it will be out. Today I took a take home test with a cut off of 300ng. I passed it and today was day 4, just about 4 full days. Lorazepam is out fast. Not all benzos come out that fast which is why you can see six weeks. But do real research if you're freaking out. Google drug tests instructions and all will say 3-7 days. Anyway if you are freaking out like I was this is a true story. I'm still worried that maybe the cut off is lower and my test I'm taking is on monday. Today is saturday night, but I think I'm good. I really hope I helped someone relax because I did not sleep for a few days. I'm 6 foot 7, 300lbs by the way so I'm not skinny. Again this was my case but I think I am good. 300ng is .3g 100ng is .1, not a big diff. Anyhow guys, good luck and I promise you what I have said is true. Again about 20mg or so of lorazepam over the course of three days stopping 4 days ago I passed a urine test with a cut off of 300ng for benzos. It was a 12 panel so good luck guys.

Ok this is my follow up story. took a bunch of lorazepam for like 4 days in a row maybe 30mg tops total. 5mg on my last day. I freaked out when I realized I had a drug test at 10:30am on the 6th day of being clean. I did a lot of research I called pharmacy after pharmacy googled I took a take home urine test. you name it I tried. I passed the take home then today I officially passed my drug test. yes it was an 11 panel so it covered benzos it was a piss in a cup if its positive it goes to a lab. so I passed after 5 days and 10 and a half hours. all of my research says its out in like 4 days tops right aid pharmacy like 15 said maybe 2 days and its out. if you are still stressing google drug test instructions lol. it will sat 1-7 days for benzos, not weeks. now valium can stay much longer from what ive seen, but again if you are like me and freaking out cant sleep blah blah blah because of lorazepam 4 days max and you will be ok. this is 100% true I promise I went through this and I am not making it up. like I said google drug test instructions that will help you relax too.

CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY
Studies in healthy volunteers show that in single high doses Ativan (lorazepam) has a tranquilizing action on the central nervous system with no appreciable effect on the respiratory or cardiovascular systems.

Ativan (lorazepam) is readily absorbed with an absolute bioavailability of 90 percent. Peak concentrations in plasma occur approximately 2 hours following administration. The peak plasma level of lorazepam from a 2 mg dose is approximately 20 ng/mL.

The mean half-life of unconjugated lorazepam in human plasma is about 12 hours and for its major metabolite, lorazepam glucuronide, about 18 hours. At clinically relevant concentrations, lorazepam is approximately 85% bound to plasma proteins. Ativan (lorazepam) is rapidly conjugated at its 3-hydroxy group into lorazepam glucuronide which is then excreted in the urine.

That being said, it depends on the dose, how long you've been taking it, how many you took, the health of your liver etc. benzodiazepines will stay in your system much longer than most substances.

Well according to previous reports. You will need between 7-22 hours to pass a urine test. This is providing you do not have liver problems, hepatitis C or any problems with your body's filters. To be on the safe side, I would say look between at least 12 to 18 hours to have a clean urine test
