Flexeril Drug Test (Page 2)
UpdatedFlexeril absolutely does show up on a drug screen as an anti-deppressent. Anyone who says otherwise should not be commenting on something that they know nothing about
Yes I had a script so I didn't think twice about it. After I called the lab they said I was cleared as they knew it was flexeril.
I work in staffing and have put thousands of people to work and have never had one prospective employee tested for TCA since unlike the poster above who has NO clue, 12 panel tests do NOT test for TCA's. Why do you think that because you are an RN that you have any clue about pre-employment drug testing? How many have you administered and then RUN at a lab? ZERO. Here are the drugs that are tested for in a 12 panel urine screen:
Amphetamines
Methamphetamines
Barbiturates
Benzodiazepines
Marijuana
Cocaine
Opiates
Phencyclidine
Methadone
Propoxyphene
MDMA (Ecstasy)
Extended Opiates
Again, stop talking about things you have no clue about. In addition, Flexeril is not a controlled substance so there is no worry to begin with, script or not.
Pete, it's a 14 panel. Do your homework! I have run these tests as well! Wow! You really do have a drug problem. I'm curious what your occupation is besides acting like you know about what RN's do. Try and work in critical care! What a joke!! Flexeril is not a controlled substance; however it can trigger a false positive for TCA. Do your homework, and get off the drugs dude!
That's exactly what I said. It can cause a false positive.
Hey Pete, I hope you got my last message. Maybe I should call you "clueless"; however I didn't have to say a word and let your ass fail it. Flexeril isn't a controlled drug; however it will trigger a false positive for TCA on a 14 panel screen. Whatever. Go for it. ,
what an arrogant brat. ur a nurse, not a doctor. u should be fired for having the attitude that u are in control of the patients lives. u are not. u are an assistant
First off you RN 's need to go back to school. I have a BSN which means I out rank you. And your stupid! It's spelled Flexiril. Can't spell it don't take it. I've worked I'm one of the biggest hospital in the world. It is not and I antidepressant it's a muscle relaxer . It doesn't show on drug screens. It's also not a tricyclic . If any of you worked under me I'd fire you. Read your information and get it right!
In legal situations, rehab facilities, and hospitals they NOW test for tricyclic anti-depressents b/c as with every drug people have begin to abuse them. IE... Trazadone *A GREAT HELPFUL DRUG FOR SLEEPING AND HIGHER DOSAGES WITH ANXIETY* BUT DEFINANTLY TEST FOR THEM NOW, if you fail a test the response of **i didnt know yall tested for that ** is not an appropriate response, its just as bad if not sketchier thane a negative, cause your trying to beat the system. Perfect example is K2 , used never be tested for so that was the go to for people in sober living, parole, etc.... now its standard. Dont try beat the system it will work for a while bur eventually youll lose.
As someone was saying earlier. If yuou don't have a prescription to flexeril I'd not take it and that way you wouldn't have to worry. It will show up. I'm an RN with critical care certification and now work in substance abuse so I do know what I'm talking about. Every educated person on this thread is correct. It will show up as false positive for tricyclic and further show to be Flexeril. It's pretty ridiculous for folks with zero medical experience think they can tell those with professional experience in this that they are wrong and don't talk about what you don't know. Tests are different but that is the answer to the question, so, no prescription, don't take it unless you want to possibly be questioned as to why you have a prescription drug in your system without the prescription itself.
That's not a very wise think to tell people to take a drug that is not prescribed to them. It's illegal. Again, all drug tests are different. As a health care professional, they test for everything.
A BSN is an RN, Mr. high and mighty. Same thing so you'd certainly not be an End boss for having a bachelor's degree. I can promise you that. And it's spelled FLEXERIL. I am looking at my prescription bottle now. Good God whoever you are, you have an ego.
Are you sure I take a 13panel drug test on Tuesday and I took one fexeril Sat
Answer me this all... I am PRESCRIBED fentanyl, oxycodone for breakthrough and zanaflex, how is it I got a false positive for methadone? Only other things takenwete Tylenol p.m. warfarin, verapamil and ranitidine. I was livid, had them draw blood immediately! Explain if you can please?
Flexeril will definitely show up on any type of drug test I know cuz I have been tested and it came up positive thank you all for reading my reply
You are wrong about that. 10 and 12 panel Urine screens test for benzodiazepines (anti depressant) and flexeril will show in the TCA catagory (antidepressants)
Pre employment urine tests are only 5 panels just like a dot test, which I've been tested by dot for 18 years and muscle relaxers do NOT show up on urine 5-panel tests! Anyone who says different is full of s***!
if flexerill stays in your system for 3.75 days does that mean you are still under the influence. Can it effect your judgment
Re: Belden (# 11)
Benadryl can cause a false pos for benzodiazepine it happened to me twice
