False Positive Cocaine Urine Test

I recently took a dot urinalysis and tested positive for cocaine. Cause I haul hazardous chemicals and explosives I was immediately terminated. I am 53 years old andi have driven a truck for the last 30 years and have taken numerous drug tests and never tested positive for anything. I also just took my dot physical 2 months ago with complete drug screen (blood and urine) and came up clean. My doctor called me an nomoly because im a 53 year old african american male who is not on any medications, blood pressure, cholesterol, height, weight, no clogging of the arteries, everything is just as it should be. I take 2 over the counter supplements, centrum silver, and emergence c. How could this test come back positive and basically ruin a career I worked long and hard to build into a respectable body of work?

I am on probation and haven't used anything but caffeine and nicotine in over two months. I do take Benadryl and a generic version of centrum silver daily. I tested positive yesterday on two strip urine tests and requested that a sample be sent to the lab. If this test comes back positive I'll be sentenced to a 90 day rehab and this will cause me to fail for the semester and as I am already on academic probation with student financial aid will take away my chances of going back to school.

You have the right to demand one re-take if you believe it is a false positive. False positives to happen and certain chemicals and vitamins in the body can react to the test and make a false positive, the same way someone who is dirty tricks it into a false negative by taking supplements or overdosing on certain vitamins right before being tested. Make sure you research your lawful rights and demand your re-take, however, if you are truly clean the lab test will say so. They will even determine what cause your false positive and possibly inform your probation officer. However, if it were me, I'd have demanded a re-take right then and there as some tests are faulty, then if it showed again, demand it be sent to a lab. That alone should prove you believe you are truly clean, meaning your officer should have high hopes in you telling the truth and will better believe you if this ever happens again. (knock on wood!) Got shafted anyway on this one. The judges exact words were that the lab says it was "technically negative" but with trace amount of cocaine. Sounds like a lie to me. Here's the interesting part, when they court ordered me to a 90 day prison rehab, I got sent back a week later because I turned out to be pregnant. lol

Same thing happen to me. I never used cocaine ever in my life. I took a hair folice test and it tested positive for cocaine. I called the lab, specimen collector, and the employer to get to the bottom of it and no one could help me. I lost out on a job that I really needed and on top of it all I'm pregnant and really needed this job. I just don't understand how this is possible.

I took a hair test and it came back positive for cocaine and heroin. I have never used these kinds of drugs in my life....I am on probation and might end up doing jail time for something I didn't do....please help me

I was given a disa (hair follicle) test and it came back positive for cocaine. I have never in my life did cocaine or even touch it. When my employer call me and told me that, I told him that the only thing I take is adipex to lose weight. He said no its cocaine positive, cause adipex wouldn't have tested you positive. So I don't know what to do! I asked for a re-test and he told me he will let me know if can be re-tested and if so will let me how much I have to pay to get it done and sent to the lab. This is is my job on the line and I can't go back. The company went to doing hair follicle tests on everyone that works there. Is there something I can do? The only other medication that I touch is thyroid pills.

Insist it be sent to LAB. Plus go to doctors to see if you have a kidney or liver problem. Infection in those organs can casue FALSE positive.

I tested positive for benzoylecgonine in my urine. I have not had cocaine for 8 months. I take claritan, bupropion, naproxen, sertraline, trazodone, advil and tylenol. I am also on the Keto diet. I am worried because the test was ordered by cps to make sure I am not drinking! Could the diet have caused this?
