My doctor repeatedly prescribed me Epilex Chrono 300 for the past eleven years and I had recently experienced a paralysis stroke; I am now worried about the side effects. Please help me to clear my doubts.

I was diagnosed with epilepsy four years back. My doctor prescribed Epilex Chrono 300 mg tablets twice a day, which i was taking for the last few years & there was no further attack for the last three years. I asked my doctor to reduce or stop the Epilex Chrono to two 200 mg tablets but he insisted to continue two tablets of 300mg/day. My question is, is it safe to discontinue the tablets? I am fed up with this, and moreover I had no repeated attack for the last four years. If not, how much time will I have to continue taking it? I am also diabetic type-2 which is under control. My age is 65+.
Please go and examine your blood platelets count. It may be due to the prolonged use of the drug. There is a fall in blood platelets count which results in internal capillary bursting, hence causes clotting.
Unintentionally, instead of taking epilex chrono-300 (two times a day) I took epilex chrono-200 (two times) for 3 days. Will I be ok?

Sir, I'm suffering from AUTOSOMAL DOMINANT PARTIAL EPILEPSY WITH AUDITORY FEATURES from epilepsy from 2005. Currently i'm taking Encorate Chrono 300 and recently a doctor advised me to take Epilex Chrono 300. Can u please suggest which one will be better?
I am 29 year old married woman with twins. I have been taking epilex chrono 300 for the past year. Very recently I have noticed red spots on both my legs with slight swelling. When I consulted with doctor it was found that these red marks were caused by internal bruising and blood clots. The doctors have not been able to diagnose the reason behind this. Is this some allergy or side effect?
Can Epilex chrono be taken instead of Encorate chrono?
I am 35 years old, height 5.1 feet, weight 52 kg, female. I have been taking epilex chrono 500mg tablets for the last six months. Please tell me the side effects of this tablet, which I am taking regularly.
Epilex Crono contains Sodium Valproate/Valproic Acid, it is used to help prevent seizures.
Have you discussed your concerns with your doctor?
If you have experienced seizures, or suffered brain damage that could make you prone to them, your risk is far greater if you don't take a medication to help prevent or control them, than it is from the medication itself.
