I completely agree. They are saying opiates but not clarifying that heroin is very much an opiate as well.

Manufacturing Quality of Imported Generic Drugs Remains Worrisome: Here is something else a pharmacist might not realize. According to the FDA, 80 percent of the active and inactive ingredients in our pharmaceuticals come from abroad. It is estimated that 40 percent of the finished pills come from abroad including countries such as India, China, Brazil and Mexico. It is also very clear that the FDA does not have the resources to inspect all or even many of the manufacturing plants producing either the raw materials or finished products millions of Americans take every day. That means that there is no verification system that the pills are exactly what they say they are.

Why do they care about addiction when the crap we ingest, that they sell us, is going to kill us anyway?

Hey f100 you may go back to tons of previous posts from P450. She absolutely is a professional & then some. She has been put thru hell yet managed to stay alive so all help from her is amazing she can achieve under such circumstances. If anyone here should be ostracized it is the un revealing BL-.......he/she has never uttered a peep of illnesses or qualifications and just likes to profess how wrong we all are & how we all have to suffer, that the gov is right because we all are abusers (druggies).

P450, I've said a few times on this forum that Dr. T only sees people that are in a emergency situation and/or have such severe intractable pain and have been unable to find treatment any where else. I believe its up to the DR. to decide if he wants to treat some one whether hes at retirement age or not. When your;re given a doctors name they don;t put down their age. I'm well informed of Dr. T retiring and coming out of retirement to help intractable pain patients and some of the research he does. He also was going to the naval hospital on east coast and the speaking engagements he does on behalf of intractable pain sufferers and all the other things hes done on our behalf, also his work on the pain patients bill of rights act in california. When you get on here and post some of the things you do, it sounds more like you want to be the know it all for everything. To be telling people what to say or do with their current dr's or the new dr's they may be getting to see may not be in their best interest. You don't know their whole history of their condition or their records from the dr's and to telling them to do this and to do that is just wrong. You get on here and throw that I'm a professional, I got a lifetime award thing around, listen to me I know what I'm talking about, it may do some harm to someone that may not know any better. I don't know what your profession was have you posted that before? Myself I was a bricklayer and don't profess to know everything and have been taking pain meds for over 25yrs and have been on most of everything out there, Was on opiates in 1995 and on fentanyl in 94' when it first came into the spot light, and have had intractable pain since 92' Also been to mayo clinic and many drs to find help with my pain but I don't tell anyone what they should or not to do only make suggestions as being asked for names of drs. It did help one person she was able to contact Dr T and blessed him with many prasses for the compassionate man he is in treating intractable pain sufferers and such that she wished that there was more like him. I thought this forum was to talk try to help each other not to act like a dr or politician like you are playing. Just wish I had more info on you that seems to make you an expert in all this???

Mr pill hill,

It's been a while since your post but I have to say this is the best advice ever listed on this site, it cuts to the point and why 99% of us are here in the first place.

NEC you had best get appt with that hospital because they're is indeed a war on drugs by the gov. That is forcing pain drs. To follow their 90mg rules which for intractable patients such as myself is a death sentence. Have been high doses for years am fast metabolizer so the 90 mg is no help for me. (I get zero relief). If you are lucky enough to find a clinic who is treating like they should, & ignoring the gov then run for it!!! Not sure how many left but bet can count on one hand the gutsy drs that are doing correct treatments. We are being tortured into an agonizing slow death (some quicker death by suicide or cardiac failure). No one in gov. Is listening they are lying to public calling us addicts, forcing good drs. To comply with their illogical guidelines for opioid treatment, slowly killing all of us in pain to a hastened death-agonizing existence without listening to our cries for help. If there is a clinic willing to ignore DEA,CDC,FDA etc then grab hold don't let go!!!

Posters,

I want to clarify a post I made yesterday about the government.

We are not CRIMINALS but they have the media and several government agencies spreading hype throughout America that a pain patient is an ADDICT.

As a licensed professional it is and has been MEDICAL malpractice to call a patient without a legal diagnosis of ADDICTION an addict. Today the government wants you to think that people on pain medication are dying.

YES THEY ARE ILLEGALLy!

Legal pain patients on opioids are NOT dying but we are dying if cut off, not written for or put to a life threatening taper.

Just wanted to make this clear; the government is doing this.

Peace..

Gigi,

Firing a physician right now will not get you help.. If you are a chronic intractable pain patient you have sealed your fate. The ACA, the government, and the FDA and CDC are temporarily controlling any physician writing opioids.

Beaver County? What state what location. I am sorry because when you bring your records to any physician and they see you FIRED a PCP (who the government is now allowing to FIRE YOU AND NOT TAKE YOU IF THEY DO NOT WANT TO) will likely be suspicious or tell you they are not taking new clients.

I know of what I speak.

You tell that i**** doctor that he may disagree with pain pills as a treatment, but in fact, it is a very legit form of pain management. And its your pain! He doesn't know how bad it hurts u for certain. And Percocet 5mg work wonders and are not to addicting. My doc, CHI Alegent, give me Hydrocodone 10mg for minor/medium pain in my left wrist and medium/severe carpal tunnel pain in my right wrist. N she says she wants me off them n thinks IB Profen 800mg will be strong enough. I tried for a month n it was horrible. So I said I need my normal meds or I will seek a doctor that cares about the pain I'm in.
