Katie, Louisiana Medicaid won't pay for Pain Management Drs. So no Pain Management Drs in Louisiana will take it. The drs that are listed as Pain Management with Louisiana Medicaid only do Anesthesia during surgeries in hospitals. Also the lists are seriously out dated and wrong in many cases.

I had major neck surgery done been in sever pain I need help getting this under control as well as I have fibromialga and bad muscle spasms and stiff muscles I need help to relieve this pain I don't sleep at night I'm exhausted everyday my Dr won't give me what I need pl help thank you very much I have been on valuim,percaset, ladicane patches and ambian thank you.

Good luck. You'll be treated like a junkie. Don't go to drs. Holloman, or Adleman or Blau, or calgney. No help scam. They put you on methadone. They own the clinics. That's a fact. Found out the hard way. DEA won't do s*** to them.......

It's so sad that the addicts have ruined it for those of us have very real problem. My son told me to take some cannabis. My insurance will not cover a pain specialist so I am screwed.

Thank You for your honesty. I was in a near fatal accident in 2000.If it were not for opioids I would be in bed also. Now all the laws are changing and I see myself bedridden soon because I cannot get what I need to function Again I ask...Why bother saving a person in a MAJOR TRAUMA when you let them live in pain and not function the rest of their lives? JUST STOP SAVING PEOPLE.

JK- I live in FL now & have had no luck locating new dr. after losing my dr of over 12 yrs-could you possibly pass along any info of good drs. here that you knew before your move? Been bedbound since losing my dr. & am in wheelchair that I no longer am safe to sit in without fear of falling to ground due to multiple chronic fractures (uncurable bone disease)-now to "pills" I believe that your hostility to meds must come from a personal problem since we all know that risks of opiods exist, however since modern medicine has brought them to us for patients who would actually have died without them there is no reason to accept that risk for the reward. In past a lot of ppl actually died not survived without them. Strong survived, not the weak. Abuse is a totally different matter-which has caused this hysteria for all.

jkdallas, you will need copies of your medical records from your last Dr. If.you are taking.close.to.or.more than 120 mg Morphine/Morphine Equivalent in.a day, you.will more than.likely find it difficult if not impossible to find a pain Dr that will treat you

This is a question for anyone whom has the info-where can I best find & keep up with latest DEA/FDA regulations,rules,laws etc. as they change or are initiated state by state? Still unsure what the specific stipulations are for FL-need keep up with these gov. controls so I am aware what we are being faced with that is so needed to be addressed to our representatives so they know how much harm is being done to our health & well being! Also I have heard there was some sort of DEA meeting yesterday. I am completely in the dark of what conspired and would like info. Thanks & feel better to all- Chris

Looking for a doctor here in Honolulu Hawaii that have no problem prescribing pain pills for my back...I have quest Hmsa so sometimes it's hard finding a doctor.

Chris, I was forwarded to a pain clinic called PRC Associates. They are awesome and understanding! They also offer different methods in dealing with the pain as it's not something I want to do is be on pain pill medications 24/7. My problem is that due to the laws changing; we need our medicine! They treat everyone like a druggie in most hospitals and dr offices. I literally can not get out of the chair and function without pain medication and it stinks! Now I have moved and my Drs have perscibed enough to get me through until I can get established with a new pain clinic in hopes to get an implant and more epidurals. I want a dr that will look at all my records and say hell yes she needs them! It's hard though because of the addicts who make it hard on all us folks that truly need the medication to function!

jk-have been to Dr.Sharma of PRC-she not understanding at all! Actually had me in tears yelling at me that my previous dr. was bad, that I should have ONLY a pain pump in my condition, & never asked me anything nor examined me-I cannot afford hospital trial nor the pump & ins. not cover but I receive meds with patient assistance that she not even talk to me about. All other drs. I seen were too afraid to write prescriptions for fear license loss. (They came out said that). Is there a fearless dr anywhere that treats unusually bad cases -cares about patients in FL??
