Doctors Willing To Prescribe Heavy Pain Medication In Colorado (Page 70)

I have a serious problem. My dr. had two patients start dr. shopping and has decided it is too big of a pain in his butt to continue prescribing, even though I have gotten MRIs and Xrays to prove my problems. I have over a half a dozen herniated discs in my low back, along with degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, scoliosis and arthritis in my facet joints. I am currently on5 30mg oxycodone a day for breakthrough and 60mg of methadone for my long lasting meds. I REALLY need a doctor in the Denver, CO area who will not judge me because of my age, thinking I'm just some drug seeker as I TRULY need my meds to function. I am even being placed on disability until I can get my back healed because if something doesn't change I will be in big time pain for the rest of my life. If ANYONE knows of a good doctor that prescribes strong meds willingly in the Denver area please let me know. I am in desperate need of help as I am going to be SCREWED if I cannot find a good doctor. SOMEONE please help me with a doctor!!!!!

That is weird because Amanda didn't schedule me for an earlier day so it must have changed after my appointment. So I know I am not the only one who will have to fill at their normal pharmacy this month and start mail order thing next month. I don't see why cpr would be shut down they are not even close to being a pill mill. So what if they have had different docs in there most were pa's they are doing nothing wrong. We have to do ua's every month and jump through hoops just like all other pain management clinics. This country is going to crap pretty soon we won't be able to get any medical care.

I just called Amanda and she said the plan is to get as many people as possible on the mail in one because the pharmacy works closely with the DEA and causes less problems for CPR and puts less risk on them if people are filling early. She said it depends per person this month but the DEA is trying to get everyone down to 3 BR meds a day and our appointments will be like 3 days early so that there is ample time for us to get our meds...... So I REALLY hope it works.....

At least I can calm down now knowing that I can fill at my pharmacy this month since it will be day 29 for me. I thought I would end up without for a day or two.

Went to CPR today and picked my prescriptions up from the office of the new pharmacy. The first time sucks and was a hassle, but now that it's set up it will be easy. They also told me once there are more people in the Springs area that the courier will start going out there (which she claimed shouldn't be long since they are just getting set up)

As far as the 3 oxy a day thing? I get 4 Oxy IR a day (+ MS Contin) and she (the doctor) never said anything about reducing the # of them.

Wanted to add that I think the new pharmacy thing is going to work great for everyone. They are very nice, it's in a nice office complex, very private.

My only concern would be for those of you who have to pay cash for your meds.

@Kay...Medicaid will cover FOUR oxy IRs a day.

Does anyone know of any good pain docotrs in ohio? Cincinnati or even up by columbus. I have been to two pain doctors and they have retired now and i have to find a doctor. I want to find a dr that will write anything and who is laid back. I am on roxy 30's 5/day, for my back. I have herniated discs and nerve damage in both legs from car accidents. Does anyone know of any doctors out here in ohio? Any suggestions would be appreciated! thank you!

Meranda all of us here only know docs in Colorado but you can search for a forum on here that is from ohio or start your own. You can also search ratemd's put in your state and city alot of people review docs there if any of that helps. Sorry and good luck.

Hi, I've been going to CPR for thee months now and I've seen three different doctors. The second was a PA. We've been working on adjusting my dosage because a couple of times I ran out because of bad flare ups. That seems to be happening more often :/ Anyway, I've been trying to call the office all week and there's been no answer. I had some questions regarding my meds and my appointment and left messages with no call back. Is anyone else having this issue? I haven't had this problem before and have been worrying that there was something going on with the practice? If anyone has any insight as to what may be going on, it would be greatly appreciated! I can be reached via e-mail or on here.

Anna mac called yesterday and talked to Amanda so i would say keep calling because sometimes they don't have time to listen to the messages or get a call back. I have had to do it before.

Hi, You spoke to Amanda? I've been trying to call the office all week and have left messages with no response :/ I've been going to CPR for months and haven't had this problem before. Do you know if there is anything going on in the office? I'm really stressed out about this because I may need to reschedule my appointment that is coming up but cannot reach anyone to talk to. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

If anything just stop by and talk to them but I don't know why they didn't answer unless you call while at lunch or after they are closed. But try calling at 830 and hopefully u get someone on the phone. Mac you called yesterday and talked to Amanda right?

Thank you Tammy and Mac. I'll try again in the morning. I live over a half hour away so I'd stop in if I could... but I just can't and don't have a ride. Are you guys able to get your scripts filled the same day as your appointment with this new pharmacy service? Is the pharmacy close by the clinic?

My guess is that people who didn't get a earlier appointment since this started will go to their usual pharmacy and others will be going on the mail thing.
